“Sarah and Anthony were the perfect sitters for our little dog. They also have a big dog and small dog to keep her company. Their house is very dog friendly as are they, thank you so much for taking such good care of her and sending pictures. This experience could not have been better!”

“This was our second time booking with Tessa & Tyler, and once again they were amazing! They took great care of our super energetic dog for a week while we were away. I really appreciated the daily updates and photos, it gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and having fun!”

“Jonathan took great care of our dog while we went away for 4 weeks. We received many pictures and messages. Jonathan is very reliable and dependable. He was very patient and kind with our dog. I recommend Jonathan for boarding and daycare.”

“I’m so happy I found Julie to watch my dog while I went out of town!! My girl had plenty of space to run and lounge, and Julie was so kind and easy to communicate with - she’s definitely a dog lover! I also appreciated daily updates with pictures. I could tell my baby was happy during her stay!”

“Mari was absolutely fabulous! Our dogs had a grand time, and we felt very comfortable with leaving them in her care. Plus, we loved all the photos! Thank you so much, Mari!”

“This was our second time using Ying and it was fantastic! He has really bonded with our dog and made him very comfortable. Ying gives him lots of attention and exercise and the two of them have quickly become good friends. We are so happy to have found Ying!”

“Ruthie instantly earned my trust for watching Marlin. Ruthie is a compassionate, attentive, and detail-oriented human who has a clear and natural intuit for dogs, and adores and respects them as the whole, wonderful beings that they are. It was impossible to miss that she held Marlin’s complete and total admiration when I came to pick him up. If that weren’t enough evidence, Ruthie’s wonderful updates and beautiful photos of Marlin clearly having the time of his life would be! Ruthie, thank you so much for your friendship to Marlin, and your understanding. it’s meant a lot. We’ll be happy to see you again soon!”

“Jennifer and Josh are excellent pet sitters! This is the second time they have taken care of my French Bulldog Zoey while I’ve been out of town. They always send updates and pictures which is super nice. It’s like sending your dog to doggie camp, my dog barely wants to leave when I pick her up. They will always be my top choice!”

“Jacqueline was fantastic! She took great care of our dog, and she kept us updated by sending pictures. I was able to book her last minute, and I was so glad it worked out! 😊”

“Valerie took great care of my Perdi. She sent daily pictures of my girl playing with other dogs and just enjoying life. The setup Valerie has is great and I felt very comfortable leaving Perdi there. I will definitely board with her again in the future.”

About: I've raised 2 puppies who spent their whole life with me. I've adopted 1 rescue and 1 senior. They have had health issues (particularly the rescue and senior) so I'm familiar with some of the early and intermediate signs. We are now at a point in our lives where we want to still spend time with dogs, but we aren't looking for the 24/7 commitment. So we would like to host your furry baby for a night or a weekend and give him all the joy of a good friendship without the kennel experience of a dog hotel. We will be taking on pet care Friday thru Sunday. We may be able to support an emergency during the week, but since we both work full time, that would mean I would need to work from home for a day (which is pawsible with notice). However, it would not be our preferred schedule. We want to spend time with your dogs playing and relaxing - not just leaving them in an unfamiliar space while we are at the office. We are looking for day or overnight services on the weekends when we are free and planning to be home. We would expect you to bring enough food and medication to last their expected stay plus 1 day (in case of unforeseen circumstances). Then leave the rest to us. We will give regular bathroom breaks and play times (no yard), much love and pets and be vigilant about your recommended food/medicine. We do not look forward to creating your animal. So we expect at least one of us (husband or wife) to be home at all times and we expect your dog to be housebroken.
“We are so glad we found Amanda and Matthew, and can highly recommend them. They kept us updated with pictures and videos of our pup, Wiley. The only problem was, Wiley looked like he was having so much fun, we figured he wouldn’t ever want to leave! 😎”

“My dog had a great time with Cameron and her dog Bo. I was updated daily on the fun they were having. She treated my dog like part of the family. We will definitely use Cameron in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m Hope! I’ve always had a deep love for animals and am passionate about their well-being. In addition to caring for my own dog, Archie for the past three years, I also foster dogs through two local rescue organizations, including medical-case dogs that require extra patience, attention, and care. I graduated from Oregon State University in 2021 and earned my master’s degree from USC in 2025. I work fully remote from my home in Eugene, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day. Whether you’re looking for drop-in visits, house sitting, or boarding, I want to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My dog is incredibly friendly and enjoys meeting new furry friends. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were my own! I work remote full time 8-4. I usually have only 1-2 meetings a day and am available to play/walk at lunch and take breaks for meal times! Your pet would be supervised all day! I have a fully fenced back yard and a friendly dog to keep your pup company! I can also crate your pup at whatever times you like to keep a routine! If I’m caring for pets in your home I’ll follow your exact routine, be with your pet all day, and keep your house clean!
“Kierstin took such a good care of my girl La Flaca! I have such a hard time leaving her and Kiertin made me feel extremely comfortable and provided a lot of updates and cute photos. Highly recommend and will be utilizing her services again.”

“Wilna took great care of our dogs! She took them to the park multiple times a day to run around and play with other dogs. We also got many pictures and videos throughout their stay. Even our dog that is often slow to warm up to people warmed up to Wilna within just one short visit! Thank you so much Wilna!!”

“Juno was well cared for and happy when I picked him up after staying with Erin. Great communication and daily photos. I would definitely book with Erin again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
