“Shay was great to work with! Dennis had a great weekend and I got regular updates and pictures on how he was doing! Would definitely use her again in the future. Thanks for taking such great care of our Dennis:)”

“Jen and Josh are the best! I had a lot of anxiety about leaving my pup during an extended trip away for the holidays, but they were fantastic about sending me updated and pics/vids of my boy. They are super attentive to the dogs’ needs and behaviors. I would recommend them to everyone ?”

“Sarah and Anthony were the perfect sitters for our little dog. They also have a big dog and small dog to keep her company. Their house is very dog friendly as are they, thank you so much for taking such good care of her and sending pictures. This experience could not have been better!”

“Ying has helped me taking care of Panda for more than one year. It is very cozy in Ying’s house. Ying takes Panda out for playing every day, which provides Panda with plenty of exercise and is very good for his health. He can even groom Panda by cutting its hair, giving it a bath, trimming its nails, plucking its ear hair, and expressing its anal glands. He has just moved to this platform, and this is the first order on Rover. Panda super likes to stay with Ying. Every time I tell Panda we're going to Ying's house, he gets very happy and eagerly waits for me to put on his collar.”

“I cannot say enough good things about the care Casey and Luna received. From the moment I dropped them off, I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such loving, attentive hands. It’s clear that this isn’t just a service, it’s genuine care. Casey and Luna were treated like family, not just pets. I could tell they were comfortable, happy, and truly loved while I was away, and that means everything to me. The updates, the attention to detail, and the way their individual personalities were honored made such a difference. Coming home to relaxed, well cared for pups says it all. This is the kind of care every pet parent hopes for but rarely finds. I’m so deeply grateful and will absolutely trust them again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone who will love your animals like their own, this is it.”

“Angie was exceptionally at taking care of my Gambit. She made sure to let me know that Gambit was been taking care of and having fun with her doggies by pictures and videos. She even accommodated us with more days due of my flight cancelation so I was very thankful and grateful with her. I would 100 percent recommend her.”

“Jonathan took great care of our dog while we went away for 4 weeks. We received many pictures and messages. Jonathan is very reliable and dependable. He was very patient and kind with our dog. I recommend Jonathan for boarding and daycare.”

“Julie was quick to respond and accommodating to board our Morgan for a night while we came to Eugene for an event. She is good at matching multiple dogs; she had three clients that night and they made a good pack. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back.”

“Jacqueline was fantastic! She took great care of our dog, and she kept us updated by sending pictures. I was able to book her last minute, and I was so glad it worked out! 😊”

“Erika is incredible. She will care for your dog as if she were her own. My dog, Ziggy, loves her and enjoys being with her. Erika is responsible, reliable, and very caring. Erika is truly a wonderful person and a great dog sitter.”
“Spence had a great time! He was knocked out when I picked him up and was loved and cared for very much! He was able to go to the coast and play with many dogs :) definitely will be coming back”

“Alexandra took excellent care of my dogs and was so willing to take them on short notice when my prearranged sitter had a family emergency and cancelled.”

“Lindsey and her husband were excellent communicators and took great care of my fur baby ( senior dog) for 12 days. I appreciate how accommodating they were especially as my trip was at the peak of the line and flight issues at airports.”

“We left our dog with the Ruthie for four days and we couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver! She was very warm and welcoming we could tell right away that she has a genuine love for dogs. She also understands dog behavior and knows how to connect with them. She sent updates with adorable photos and fun descriptions of the daily activities. When we picked up our dog, he was relaxed and happy. We will definitely be seeking out Ruthie again in the future!”

“Starting with the meet and greet, our dog Velvet was quickly comfortable with Dominique and her partner and their dogs. We could tell from the photos they shared that she was calm and happy during her stay and thoroughly enjoyed both their yard and the comfy couch and dog beds. We wouldn't hesitate to have her board with them again!”

About: Growing up with pets, I learned at a very young age, that our family dog did not like being ridden like a horse! While I've been around dogs all my life, most of my experience has been acquired during my adult years. I (Laura) am a freelancing Designer, and my husband (Lawrence) is a retired Registered Nurse. Together we have many years of experience raising our own family dogs: First we had a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, then two Yorkshire Terrier's, and currently a Pomeranian mix... ...We also raised a couple of boys, and their motley-menagerie of creatures. I think my heart doubled in size, when I realized I could combine two of my favorite passion's; hanging out with furry little Lapdogs, and creating miniature fashion's for Sport! I also really enjoy doing 'Street' photography of doggies and their humans. Dogs bring us so much joy, we just love making a fuss over them! We live near Downtown Cottage Grove, in one of it's walkable historic neighborhoods. Ours is a child-free home, offering 'Boarding' and 'Daycare' services--hosting only small lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. Additionally, we also do 'Drop-in' visits in 'your' home for small and medium size dogs. Our fully-fenced backyard features a variety of tree's and flower gardens, with lots of room to romp and play. It's complete with a covered patio that provides protection from rain or sun year around. Most importantly, we want you to feel worry-free, while we keep your doggie safe and happy! We are available full-time to provide pet care. Occasionally, I freelance from home--where I make and sell custom-fit dog wear, including alterations on existing doggie wearables. My husband is retired, so we have very flexible schedules to accommodate and host our Lapdog friends. We can host up to three Lapdogs per day/night. We also can do 'drop-in' visits to your home, for both small and medium size dogs. Well, around here, it's safety first! We host only Lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. (Also, we only take small breed puppies.) Ours is a child-free home, with a fully-fenced backyard. We can host up to three dogs per day/night. I always sleep in the same room with our visiting doggies--either on our comfy sofas, or our king sized bed. My husband is a retired Registered Nurse. Please be mindful that visiting dogs need to be current with vaccines, flea & tick prevention, and an identity tag. We also have zoned heating and air conditioning throughout our house. There's several doggie-beds, toys, and crate (if requested) or feel free to provide your own. Also, we want to know about anything you think would be helpful in making your Doggie's visit a successful stay. We offer lots of love, cuddles, and belly rubs!

Morgan was so kind and a pleasure to deal with. She gave my little Maggie a lot of love and attention. It really put my mind at ease knowing someone like her was watching my dog. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Morgan and plan on having her watch my Maggie again. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
