“Caitlin was great! Very accommodating to set up a meet and greet and was able to watch our dog for 2 nights, with flexibility with drop off and pickup times. Sent plenty of photos and kept us updated on how our pup was doing.”

“Jacqueline took great care of our dog while we were away for the weekend. She gave us lots of updates and sent frequent pictures so we knew our buddy was doing well. When we picked him up, he seemed pooped, so we know he got lots of attention and exercise. We would 100% have our fur baby stay with Jacqueline again!”

“Morgan was so great watching mine in my roommates dog while we were out of town. She sent a ton of picture/video updates the whole time and was very accommodating when our flight was delayed and had to extend the pick up time. Will definitely plan to use her again in future!”

“Valerie is a gem. She’s got a dedicated room just for cats that even has a “Catio” a.k.a. a patio in human terms, that is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s a big enclosure that lets your kitties venture outside without actually being outside. You can’t possibly go wrong using Valerie to love on your fur babies !! I got several pictures daily sowing our fur baby having the time of his life with Valerie !!❤️”

“We had an amazing experience having our dog stay at their home for 5 nights our pup really loved their property and being around them and in their home. Throughout our pups stay I received lots of photos of our pup and updates which was very above and beyond and it really meant a lot to us. Very nice to talk with and asked lots of questions to make sure she understood our Doggo before we took off. We felt at peace when we left our dog there that we knew he would be safe and loved. I am very excited to be using you again for any future stays that we are needing. Thanks again!!”

“Teresa was the best person we could have pick to leave our puppy with. She sent lots of pictures and eased our mind. We were so scared to leave her for the first time with someone we didn’t know, but we are glad we chose Teresa.”

About: I've raised 2 puppies who spent their whole life with me. I've adopted 1 rescue and 1 senior. They have had health issues (particularly the rescue and senior) so I'm familiar with some of the early and intermediate signs. We are now at a point in our lives where we want to still spend time with dogs, but we aren't looking for the 24/7 commitment. So we would like to host your furry baby for a night or a weekend and give him all the joy of a good friendship without the kennel experience of a dog hotel. We will be taking on pet care Friday thru Sunday. We may be able to support an emergency during the week, but since we both work full time, that would mean I would need to work from home for a day (which is pawsible with notice). However, it would not be our preferred schedule. We want to spend time with your dogs playing and relaxing - not just leaving them in an unfamiliar space while we are at the office. We are looking for day or overnight services on the weekends when we are free and planning to be home. We would expect you to bring enough food and medication to last their expected stay plus 1 day (in case of unforeseen circumstances). Then leave the rest to us. We will give regular bathroom breaks and play times (no yard), much love and pets and be vigilant about your recommended food/medicine. We do not look forward to creating your animal. So we expect at least one of us (husband or wife) to be home at all times and we expect your dog to be housebroken.
“Angle took great care of my dog! I received regular updates, photos & videos & my pup. He loved playing with Tahoe & the other Rover friends. My dog came back happy, tired & content. He had such a blast on his mini vacation! Thanks Angie!”

“Jonathan is a lifesaver! I really appreciate his flexibility and updates. His calming nature really helped Rocko feel comfortable. I would absolutely book again with Jonathan and Nova :)”

“Cory, Matthew and their daughter were gentle and patient with our little timid dog. They were accommodating in feeding, treats, and bedtime routines to make her comfortable, and even gave her some snuggle time in the morning. They have a great setup in their home and back yard for a dog, and ours came home healthy and happy. We’d gladly ask this family to board our beloved pooch again!”

“My dog had a great time with Cameron and her dog Bo. I was updated daily on the fun they were having. She treated my dog like part of the family. We will definitely use Cameron in the future.”

“10 stars! Elizabeth has a great love for dogs. Mochi was in the best care with her. She took him in like he was her own. She made sure he had so much fun with so many outings, doggy play dates, and snuggles. She had great communication throughout. We highly recommend her and will definitely reach out to her again in the future.”

“Brittany & her husband Eric are phenomenal dog people. Brittany sent me photos and videos every day for 2 full weeks. They have a loving home of dogs. My dog Lila started going blind a year and a half ago. Brittany & Eric made sure she got down the porch steps to their magnificent one acre fenced yard where Lila galloped and played her heart out with several dogs. It was a harmonious excursion. It’s hard to be separated from your animal. And bearable when literally see how much fun your dog is doing. I hope they will take care of Lila every time I go on a trip. I loved that their living room was full of neat dog beds & baskets of toys. This remarkable couple, Eric & Brittany, clear understand dog behavior & know how to alleviate potential problems. I highly recommend them to dog owners seeking a secure place with lots of roaming space for their dogs to have abundant fun. Mara Thygeson”
“Alysha took amazing care of Woody, and he got lots of love and exercise while staying with her. The text updates were great and very reassuring to hear our boy was doing well. We were very impressed with the ease of booking and the price. We will definitely book with Alysha again for any future dog sitting needs! Thank you again Alysha!”
“Griffin is gentle, soft-spoken, and was sweet and patient with our timid little dog. We really appreciated that he sent us photos during our dog’s stay, which was reassuring that she had settled in and looked plenty comfortable. Although he lives in an upstairs apartment with a balcony, he took our dog out regularly, several times a day. He was conscientious, and communicated well.”

“Lindsey and her husband were excellent communicators and took great care of my fur baby ( senior dog) for 12 days. I appreciate how accommodating they were especially as my trip was at the peak of the line and flight issues at airports.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Creswell
I'm so, so glad I chose Morgan to watch my girls. Not only was she totally flexible when I both had to book her last minute and then extend the booking when I had a flight cancellation, but she showed the exact same kind of love for them that I show them every day. She sent photos and videos of the girls lounging in her big (fully fenced!) yard, getting all kinds of pets and cuddles from members of the family, playing, eating, everything; and I could tell she put in a lot of effort to make sure the girls were entertained. This wasn't just someone who watches animals for the extra $ and takes them on as an added burden; she's doing it out of love and makes sure they have not just a stay but a whole experience. Highly, highly recommend Morgan!

Morgan was so kind and a pleasure to deal with. She gave my little Maggie a lot of love and attention. It really put my mind at ease knowing someone like her was watching my dog. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Morgan and plan on having her watch my Maggie again. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
