Galen had a great time staying at Jade's house overnight. He got to play fetch with the cool kids and slept all the next day after we picked him up. I loved getting all the pictures and videos Jade sent of Galen having a good time. It was so nice to know he was happy, healthy, and felt like he was at summer camp. I have no hesitation in having Jade watch Galen again, or in recommending her to others.

About: I worked at a pet boarding facility for a 7 years before I moved. I am a fast learner and choose to have the pet accept me before moving on to anything else. I shadowed groomers and vets to be sure the road I was taking would assure me happiness with animals and still plenty of time with my own animals. Working with the boarding facility I learned pets are different without there parents and can act differently around them so learning their likes and dislikes personally is a must for me. I want to make sure Pets and Parents are happy with me as help. I want both parties to feel safe, happy, and well rested when staying with me. I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule. I would be able to come for an early morning and evening walk or adventure if needed. I have two dogs that are high energy. We often go to parks, take long walks, or swimming during hot days. I do have a kennel and a large vehicle for transport.

Gayle is great. Her whole setup (house, yard, other pet guest, her own dog) works perfectly for my dog. It’s more like he is on his own vacation than just being boarded. Would absolutely use her again.

We threw a small superbowl party at our home. Floki does not do well with guests stopping by, so we searched for near by dog sitter to watch him for the evening. We met with Jordan a couple weeks prior to dropping Floki off. He did well with him and his son. Jordan sent pictures throughout his, putting our mind to ease! The picture of our dog with his head on his son's lap was PERFECT! Like I said, he doesn't do well with strangers stopping by so this made both of us very happy receiving this photo! Floki is a very energetic dog and he was tired when he came home. Jordan took Floki for 2 long walks which was not expected but appreciated! He went above and beyond previous sitters!!! So grateful to have found him! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Oh and another thing that we must mention, he got along with the other dogs he cared for; out of the norm for Floki! We're definitely going to use him for future events.

Riley had so much fun at Sabrina’s. I boarded him for 3 nights and 4 days. Sabrina sent me photos every day of Riley playing with the other dogs. Although he was happy to see me I think he is depressed that he is not playing with his buddies.

My beagle stayed with Madlin for 4 days, had an issue with another arrangement while I was out of town and Madlin was able to handle everything (picked up my dog and helped both my beagle's stress and my own with great communication). She was a life saver for me and my dog loved her, would recommend her to anyone in the Salem area.

Candace is the best! She was so loving and patient with our little Maizie. I didn’t worry about our baby, even though it was her first time away from home. She had a blast at “summer camp” with new big-brother Wilbur. Maizie says she can’t wait to come back. Thank you for everything, Candace!

There are 433 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Tangent. About 91% of Tangent sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
