Steven and his partner were great with Parker (who can definitely be a handful at times) but they said he did awesome during his stay. Parker had so much fun with them and his two dogs Shasta and Jasper. They even took videos and photos for me to see how he was doing. Parker didn't want to leave he loved them and I'm sure he had so much fun while I was away. 10/10 recommend and will definitely use them again anytime I need a sitter for Parker in the future.

Tamra kept my large GSD in her home for a week and took great care of him! He’s a sweet guy but set in his ways so one never knows how he will respond to a new situation…but it was obvious immediately that he felt comfortable with her and was well cared for: long walks, play dates with dog friends, lots of social interaction. I would 100% recommend Tamra!

Hailey was wonderful. She and her family took great care of our pup while we were away and updated us frequently with daily activities and photos. From the meet and greet to the pickup it was obvious he was in good hands and got all the love and attention he deserves! She was attentive, kind and respectful, plus her dog was friendly and a great playmate for our dog. Highly recommend Hailey, we hope to board with her again!

Mickenzie was very quick to respond and book Miss Moose on short notice. She also sent me a few update pictures and let me know how she was settling in. Moose was in good hands with other dogs to play with and cats to hang out with (her dream situation). Overall I appreciated Mickenzie’s service and communication!

Tawny was amazing with our pup Zoë. She immediately welcomed her and made her feel right at home! Tawny also kept us updated on how Zoë was doing throughout her stay, and sent along some really great pictures. Zoë also loved her stay. As a shy girl, sometimes it takes her a while to warm up to new situations. Although, she immediately warmed up to Tawny and had a great stay.

About: I have years of experience caring for small and medium sized dogs and am the owner of two friendly pups, Minion, a 12 year old Lhasa Apso mix, and Gizmo, a 5 year old mini poodle. Because I focus exclusively on dogs under 40 pounds, I am highly familiar with the unique temperaments and safety needs of small and medium breeds. Working from home full time allows me to provide constant, dedicated supervision throughout the day, easily keeping up with your dog's specific feeding and bathroom schedules while keeping their anxiety low. Your dog will also have access to a fully fenced backyard, offering a completely secure space to get fresh air, stretch their legs, and enjoy supervised outdoor playtime with Minion and Gizmo without any risk of escaping. Whether your dog has high energy or is a calm companion who just wants to nap by my desk while I work, I provide a peaceful, attentive environment tailored to making them feel safe and right at home. Since I work from home full time, pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily routine. My workday is structured around the dogs, meaning guest pets are never left unattended and receive constant companionship. Throughout the day, I take regular breaks to step away from my screen and supervise outdoor playtime in my fully fenced backyard. Your dog will join my own friendly pups, Minion, a 12 year old Lhasa Apso mix, and Gizmo, a 5 year old mini poodle, for a consistent schedule of morning feeds, afternoon backyard romps, and plenty of desk side company while I work. Because my schedule is highly flexible, I can easily adapt to your dog's specific feeding, bathroom, or exercise timelines without any disruption to my work week. Trust and safety are the foundation of how I operate, which is why I provide care exclusively in my own home where I can maintain total oversight. To guarantee a secure environment, I strictly enforce a 40 pound weight limit for all guests. This ensures everyone is evenly matched with my own friendly dogs, Minion, a 12 year old Lhasa Apso mix, and Gizmo, a 5 year old mini poodle, eliminating the safety risks and anxiety that come with mixing large and small breeds. Because I work from home full time, your dog will never be left unattended and will receive constant supervision. Outdoor time is restricted to a fully fenced backyard where I am always physically present to monitor play and bathroom breaks. I build trust with owners through transparent communication, regular photo updates, and precise adherence to your dog's established feeding and routine instructions, providing a predictable and protective environment where your pet can feel completely safe.

Debbie took incredible care of our dogs! We could see how happy they were in all the picture updates she sent us. When we came to pick them up after 2 weeks we could see how happy they were and they were giving Debbie 'kisses'. She answered all our questions and put us at complete ease. We found a real gem with Debbie! We will definitely be using her to care for our furry family members from now on.

Kristina was a wonderful sitter for our pup Raffle. She went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable, took him for long walks, and gave him the space to run outside! She gave him treats and even gave him a toy to take home. She sent pictures throughout the weekend so we never had to worry about how Raffle was doing. We would definitely book with Kristina again :)

About: I've worked in child care for families and a company and I apply the skills acquired from there to here. I understand that your dog is a part of your family and deserves a similar manner of patience, love, and communication that a good child care provider gives. These necessities are what I consider when caring for my own dog. As much as I adore the familiarity of dogs, especially puppies, I'd be more than happy to care for other pets. I'm a runner and I believe in staying active to maintain health-- providing the body allows it! If you would like for your dog to exercise too, I'm very willing to include them in on runs. I have a lot of energy for playtime, exercise, mindful care and would like to offer my services. Hope to hear from you. :) Best Wishes My schedule changes often but I'm usually free on weekends and holidays as of now! I am taking part time classes on M,W,F but am home often. I have a park across the street where I walk my dog and get out the zoomies. The furniture is okay for pets unless they get messy after a walk or play.

I cannot recommend Dylan enough!! Our 14yo dog, Lulu, has a lot of quirks and is developing dementia so she can get a little grumpy in the evenings. She doesn't do well around other dogs, so it can be tough finding a place where she will be comfortable while we're out of town. He sent lots of photos and videos and we could tell she was having a great time with him. When we went to go pick her up, she honestly didn't want to leave, she even tried going back inside with him haha. Dylan is an extremely caring sitter and listens to what your dog wants. We are so grateful to have found someone that she is comfortable with and it meant the world to us knowing that she was well taken care of!

My wife and I were very blessed to find Arturo. Arturo and his family provided a very safe and loving environment for our fur baby (Piper-Jazz). From the moment they greated us we (including Piper-Jazz) felt entirely at peace. Knowing our fur baby was in safe and loving hands during our 10 day trip helped my wife and I to relax and enjoy our time together—what a great gift. We highly recommend Arturo and we rate him and his home a 10 out of 10. I think Piper-Jazz actually misses Arturo and his family. 😊 💯

Kathrine is an AMAZING sitter! I went out of town for 5 days and left my pup with her at her home. I immediately felt comfortable leaving her there when I dropped her off. She sent pics, videos, and updated me on all things (eating, pooping, etc.). Her dog, Ophelia, was the sweetest companion and I could tell her and my dog were besties from the pics she sent! They went on multiple walks a day, and even a weekend adventure! I will definitely be using Kathrine again in the future!

I felt that Vinny had been treated well and was comfortable with Olivia because he did not show signs of anxiety when I picked him up or in the following days. The one thing that I would have liked was a little more unprompted communication even just once a day, such as; "had a good walk", "seems comfortable with me and the house", "he rested well", etc.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
