“Archer and Daisy had a great time at Alex’s place. He sent us a bunch of pictures and videos during their stay which made us feel comfortable leaving our fur babies with him. 10/10 will book again”

“Michael was great! He was very kind, and gave me status updates. He treated my dog like part of the family. I would recommend him to everyone and will be using his services in the future whenever he is available.”

“Pakuna is honestly hands down the best sitter ever. This was my first time leaving my puppy for a couple of days and was very nervous about leaving my puppy but Pakuna reassured me that everything will be ok and that my pup would have a blast. Our pup loved being with her and her pitty. Highly recommend booking her!”

“Mickenzie was very quick to respond and book Miss Moose on short notice. She also sent me a few update pictures and let me know how she was settling in. Moose was in good hands with other dogs to play with and cats to hang out with (her dream situation). Overall I appreciated Mickenzie’s service and communication!”

“I was apprehensive leaving our 5 year old Vizsla anywhere. Philly took him for a walk to bond. He sent lots of texts and pictures. He was able to accommodate drop off and pick up times as we changed both times. He let him on the furniture and sat in a chair just like at home. He understands a high energy dog with lots of walks and ball play. He works from home so Odie was never alone. Such a relief to know he was in good hands. . We will definitely use Philly again.”

“Our best friend, Calamity Jane, had a wonderful time with Tania. This is the longest time apart for us and Tania texted daily and sent pics and vids showing our furry pal having fun and looking happy. We're delighted with Tania, will be return customers and can recommend unconditionally.”

“Natalia was wonderful and communicative the entire time she had Stella! She would provide pictures and videos which made me really happy and less sad being away from her. Stella came back to us today all tuckered out, I’m so glad we chose Natalia to take care of our girl! Thank you so much ☺️”

“Lauren always takes perfect care of our sweet dog! She keeps us updated while we are out of town and sends the sweetest pictures! We love having our pup go to Lauren’s!”

“Kathrine is an AMAZING sitter! I went out of town for 5 days and left my pup with her at her home. I immediately felt comfortable leaving her there when I dropped her off. She sent pics, videos, and updated me on all things (eating, pooping, etc.). Her dog, Ophelia, was the sweetest companion and I could tell her and my dog were besties from the pics she sent! They went on multiple walks a day, and even a weekend adventure! I will definitely be using Kathrine again in the future!”

“Steven and his partner were great with Parker (who can definitely be a handful at times) but they said he did awesome during his stay. Parker had so much fun with them and his two dogs Shasta and Jasper. They even took videos and photos for me to see how he was doing. Parker didn't want to leave he loved them and I'm sure he had so much fun while I was away. 10/10 recommend and will definitely use them again anytime I need a sitter for Parker in the future.”
“Daisy had a great stay! She looked happy in all of the update pictures. She handled her medications for me and her special food needs. Daisy was calm and happy on the way home after her stay. Will definitely use her again.”

“Tienne did great with my dog, Sydney. She was really easy to work with and was very flexible and understanding. She is a Vet Tech which made me much more comfortable should any issues arise. I will definitely use Tienne in the future.”

“Debbie was amazing. Our dog had a great time at her house. She took great care of him! Got lots of pictures and videos which we loved. Her fenced-in backyard with doggie door was great. I'm sure our dog loved the freedom. Our dog will certainly be back to visit soon!”
“Kristen was a god send. Our little guy can be a bit nervous. Kristen was a perfect fit for our pup. Her home is warm and inviting. Her two dogs are well cared for. She kept me updated with pictures throughout our trip. I’m so grateful we found her so we can travel with confidence in our dogs care. We will definitely be using her in the future to watch our pup.”

“I could tell my pup was in good hands with Hailey with the pics she shared during his stay. Hailey's location is great for a dog to run around and be a dog. Plus, the play time with her pups made for a good experience. She took care of my big pup as one of her own which helped erase any concerns I have in boarding him. I will definitely reach out to Hailey for another overnight stay.”

About: I had been pet sitting regularly for clients in Bailey, CO for the past five years until we moved down to Mesquite, NV. They had an English and Bull Mastiff plus horses, goats and chickens. I take care of dogs for my friends who have recommended me to other clients over the course of the last fifteen years. I am a total dog lover and love to stop and pet each and every one I come across. I take daily walks, weather permitting, with the dogs I am taking care of, including the English Mastiff! Because I do not have a full time job, I am available weekdays and weekends and am very flexible regarding times. I love and treat each dog as my own. I moved from Mesquite to Woodburn, OR 2 years ago and am starting to get back into dog sitting again. So please reach out if you need to board your dog at my house. I have a home with a nice backyard and am close to Centennial Park which has two dog parks, one for smaller dogs and the other for the bigger ones. Pet sitting and dog walking are my only job. I can devote all my time each day to taking care of your pets. I will take your pups for a walk or a jog each day I have them and give them all the attention they want. I have a fenced in backyard that we can play in. I do let pets on my furniture if it’s ok with the client. I will totally love on your pup until they feel comfortable and safe in my home.

“Karlie was very flexible and easy to plan with. Her house is very dog friendly and her pup, Dresden, is a great playmate! Our dog didn’t care when we left at drop off because she was already having so much fun.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sheridan
Melissa and Albert were great with my dogs. Melissa greeted me and was very kind. Jupiter had gotten sick on the car ride and had thrown up on his bedding. I cleaned it the best I could and explain what happened to Melissa. She said she was doing laundry and that she’d be happy to wash the bedding. They sent pictures of the dogs during their stay. When I arrived to pick them up, they were laying comfortably on the couch. Both Melissa and Albert helped me put my stuff in my van. I am very happy to have found Melissa and Albert. They took very good care of my dogs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
