Anyone who has a pet knows that pet care doesn't exactly fit into a daily or weekly routine, it becomes your life. Pets have needs and their mind needs stimulation and attention. My dog is 10 now and with age we do eye medication twice a day and joint supplements. I think about what we can do each week, sometimes it is not much but I always my time to ensure his needs are met. I also know that some dogs have different needs; cuddles, blankets, snacks, brain games, training and socializing. The time they spend with me I will worry about their needs and do everything I can to entertain them based on your input.

I have a fully fenced yard however I still find it pertinent to watch smaller pets when they are outside due to the birds of prey in the area. I live off a main road so there is some ambient noise in the house from passing cars. I do not let pets out of the front door unless they are leashed. I care for my border collie with all my heart and it kills me when I have to tell him to leave the park to go home. I want to make everyday the best day in his mind and I will do the same for your pet. We are their whole lives and we only get a short time with them, I want their day with me to feel special and happy. My goals is that one day your dog comes over and when they realize they are coming to my house they get just as excited as going to the park. I live with my life partner, Hunter, and he adores and respects dogs and they love and adore him to. We always joke that he will become a new bed for them to sleep on and sure enough they lay on him every time, it is so cute! I do not have any kids and I will ensure your pets personal space is respected.

Information Karlie J. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if their pets are kind to other dogs as I do have my own. I want to know if your pet likes snuggles or if they would prefer a certain part of the house to be available to hang out in (back porch roasting their potato butt or on the bathroom floor cooling off). I also would like to know if they have dietary restrictions/meds. All breeds of dogs are welcome.
A typical day
In the morning I am usually up by 6:00 am for breakfast and coffee and to give my dog his eye medication. During the day I do hikes at dog friendly areas, socializing and fetching in the parks with my border collie, walks in Bush pasture park and spending time swimming at the river. My border collie is very black so I pay special attention to areas of town that have the most shade and I always walk with spare drinking water. This also means most of the activity is completed by 2:30pm to avoid the heat of the day. After this my dog takes a long nap and I get dinner ready. I have a fully fenced yard and potty breaks happen every 2 hours or as requested (my dog brings me to the door). I do not have any kids and I will ensure your pets personal space is respected.

Pet care experience
I provide active, attentive, and safety focused care tailored to each dog's unique needs. My own dog, Dresden, is a high energy Border Collie who keeps me on my toes, so I have plenty of experience exercising and engaging energetic dogs both physically and mentally. Whether it's long walks, hiking, playing fetch, or outdoor adventures, I love helping dogs stay happy, healthy, and fulfilled. In addition to providing fun and exercise, I bring a strong background in safety and emergency care from my experience as a paramedic. I'm comfortable recognizing potential health concerns, providing basic first aid when appropriate, and remaining calm in unexpected situations. I've been a dedicated dog owner for nearly a decade and understand the trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. Although I'm new to the Willamette area, I'm excited to explore it with Dresden and the dogs I care for. I treat every pup as if they were my own, with patience, attention, affection, and respect for their individual personality and routine. My goal is to make sure your dog returns home happy, well-exercised, and loved while giving you peace of mind throughout their stay.
Reviews

Dog seemed to have a great time! She was more than willing to work with my schedule for drop offs and pick ups. She made sure my dog was taken care of which gave me the peace of mind to focus on a busy work/school day. I couldn’t have done it without her!
Karlie, is amazing with dogs. She is always available when I have needed her to watch my dog. My dog is always so excited when I get ready to drop her off.( my dog normally doesn’t like anything that’s not home). Her location is very easy to get to and I love that they have a fenced front yard where the dogs can just play and get some fresh air. I totally recommend her to anyone who wants their dog to be in good hands.

Karlie was very flexible and easy to plan with. Her house is very dog friendly and her pup, Dresden, is a great playmate! Our dog didn’t care when we left at drop off because she was already having so much fun.

Karlie did a great job taking care of my big love. She was very pleasant and calm and Lionus enjoyed her company!
