An update from our family: After briefly preparing to scale back our pet-care services, our plans changed. We’re happy to be continuing, expanding our availability, and accepting new bookings again. Hi, I’m Phillip—a Navy Veteran, former nurse, and lifelong animal lover with more than 40 years of pet-care experience. I provide boarding, doggy day care, house sitting, and limited drop-in care. Pet care is a family effort in our home. My wife and adult son are part of our household care team, helping provide supervision, affection, playtime, and consistent daily care. This gives us dependable coverage and allows us to give every visiting dog individual attention. We provide low-volume care for no more than four guest dogs at a time. Dogs stay in a clean, smoke-free home where they receive supervised yard time, exercise, rest, affection, and a routine based on their normal schedule. My nursing background helps me remain calm and attentive when caring for senior dogs, administering oral medications, or watching for changes in a pet’s health or behavior. Owners receive regular updates, photos, and videos throughout their pet’s stay. Every pet is different. Before confirming a new booking, I review the pet’s routine, temperament, health needs, and compatibility with other dogs. When appropriate, I require a meet-and-greet to make sure the arrangement is safe and comfortable for everyone.

Phillip had great communication. Drop off amd puck up was smooth. He is flexible and dogs were well cared for. We liked getting updates and photos along the way. First time we booked a sitter so we were more nervous but the notes and pics helped us be at ease.

Schedule
Pet care is built into our household’s daily routine. My wife, adult son, and I coordinate coverage so dogs staying with us receive regular potty breaks, meals, exercise, supervision, rest, and attention throughout the day. I manage all bookings, owner communication, care instructions, and scheduling. For house-sitting services, I follow the schedule agreed upon with the owner and clearly discuss in advance how long a pet may be alone during the workday.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety begins before the booking. I review every pet’s temperament, medical needs, behavior around people and other animals, feeding routine, and history of escaping, guarding, or separation anxiety. Meet-and-greets are required when needed to confirm a safe fit. Our home is clean, smoke-free, and has a fenced yard. Outdoor time is supervised. Dogs from different households are introduced carefully, monitored during play, and fed separately. Gates, separate spaces, and crates provided by owners may be used when appropriate for rest, feeding, or safety. In a client’s home, I follow written instructions, respect the property, secure doors and gates, and maintain the pet’s established routine. Owners receive regular updates and are contacted promptly if I notice a health, safety, or behavioral concern.
A typical day
A typical day begins with a morning potty break, breakfast, medication when needed, and supervised activity. The rest of the day includes a combination of yard time, walks when appropriate, play, affection, and quiet rest. Potty breaks are provided regularly throughout the day, and feeding is handled separately for safety. Activities are adjusted for each dog’s age, energy level, health, and normal routine. Senior dogs and lower-energy dogs receive a quieter pace, while active dogs receive additional exercise and play. Owners receive photos and updates so they can see how their pet is eating, behaving, resting, and enjoying the stay.

Please be candid—complete information helps me determine whether the booking will be safe and comfortable for your pet, our household, and any other dogs in our care.
