“My dog has a great time with Bradley. He seemed very happy and got plenty of attention and activity. Bradley wa great in communication, genuine affection for pups. I’d definitely look to Bradley in the future for dog sitting.”

“Dan and Dave took great care of our fur baby and she was healthy and happy when I picked her up. They provided a super clean and secure environment with care and affection for our pup. Will definitely be calling on them again.”

“Laura was a wonderful sitter for Cosi. Her home was very comfortable and she spent lots of time with our girl, doing all her favorite things and keeping her routine regular. Her updates and pictures gave us peace of mind, knowing that we were leaving our precious pet in great hands. Cosi can’t wait to see her new friend again in the future!”

“First time using Jade and couldn’t be happier with her care of my dog Juno. Juno got plenty of play time and snuggles during her 5 day stay and she came home happy. Jade has a genuine gift for caring for animals and I’d trust her with Juno again without any hesitation.”

“Arielle was amazing!!! This was our first time ever leaving our fur baby with anyone other than family! She made us feel so at ease & remained in contact with us throughout his stay! She sent us pictures so we could see how he was doing & it looked like he was on vacation!!! She accepted him last minute & he came home so content & exhausted from his playtime! We have definitely found Opi’s home away from home!!! If you’re looking for an awesome sitter for your fur baby, look no further!!!”

“Daisy has been boarded with Nadja several times at this point, and has a great doggie vacation! Nadja sends a lot of photo updates and it very responsive. 10/10”

About: Hello there! I'm a PhD student at OSU with a passion for animals and a background in understanding their emotions, as reflected in my honors thesis on companion animals. With over 6 years of dedicated cat sitting and dog walking experience, I've become a trusted companion for many furry friends in Corvallis & Philomath. I take pride in my long-term relationships with clients, providing reliable and caring services. Whether it's walking reactive dogs, taking care of cats with big personalities, or handling multiple dogs at once (3+), I approach each situation with patience, understanding, and a genuine love for our four-legged friends. Previously, I worked as a rehab tech at a local stable, where I assisted horses in their rehabilitation journey. I have also worked with animals who required medications or had special needs. These experiences have honed my ability to adapt to different needs and personalities, ensuring a positive and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. I'm not just a pet caregiver; I'm a friendly, experienced, and trustworthy companion for your pets. Let's create a paw-sitive experience for your furry family members! As a PhD student, my time is flexible! I love spending time with animals and helping owners feel comfortable leaving their pets. I can be flexible, so just let me know what works best for you and your pet(s)! Ensuring the well-being of your pet is my top priority, and I strive to create a seamless experience whether caring for them in my home or yours. To align with your pet's established routine, I'll discuss and familiarize myself with the training cues you use. This ensures that I maintain consistency and reinforce the behaviors that are important to you and your pet. Additionally, I take proactive measures to address potential emergencies. I'll walk you through my emergency protocol, covering all essential aspects to guarantee a comprehensive and well-prepared approach. Open communication and careful consideration of your pet's unique needs are fundamental to my care philosophy, providing you with peace of mind while your furry friend is in my care.
“Gemma took great care of Kelli during her stay. Kelli had an overnight with Gemma prior to this longer stay and was excited to go back in the house. Being an older dog she does have a few extra needs but these were all met and she was in great shape when I picked her up.”

“Jillian was great. Did a test run to make sure my dog fit with her dogs before hand. She is very smart with dogs and how they work, so there was no concerns. My dog was very happy to be there and was still happy when we picked him up. She also took him out for activities sent photos during the stay.”

“Victoria did a fantastic job taking care of Toby. She took him on some great walks. I got updates every day which I really appreciate. Herwaardering a happy camper when I picked him up.”

“Thank you, Carlos, for taking such excellent care of our dog. In just 24 hours, Bentley received great attention, was walked and trained, and even enjoyed a trip to the dog park. He returned home as if he'd had a full day of fun! Carlos truly deserves to be in the premier category.”

About: I am an animal lover at heart and I have a degree in biology, so I enjoy learning about animals, how best to take care of them, and how to read their body language. I began my pet sitting journey in middle school, when I often helped feed my neighbors cat and make sure he took his medicine. Since then, I've had the opportunity to walk a neighbor's dog on a regular basis for a year, and help out in various animal shelters (walking dogs, playing fetch, and helping to reinforce training). In the winter of 2021, I spent two months in Alaska helping a couple take care of their 21 (!) sled dogs, as well as their two house dogs and occasional foster puppies that I helped begin to train. Taking care of the sled dogs was a twice-a-day task that involved cutting up fish, measuring out different amounts of food for each dog, learning each dog's name and personality, keeping track of the dogs while they ran around the property, and shoveling out their kennels. At times I would have three puppies in my arms at once, or have to feed late at night in the snow and cold, so I am no stranger to hard work! I also helped feed the couple's three Icelandic horses. In addition, I have professional animal care experience as part of an environmental education job with 4-H, through which I've taken care of several species of reptiles (I love snakes!), amphibians, and fish. I also have some experience handling birds. So if you have pets that fit into those categories and need help with feeding while you are away I would be happy to help out! :) I work 8:30-5 on weekdays and am free most weekday evenings, and most weekends. My work is flexible though, and I can usually take time off during the day to do drop in visits if needed! I am able to watch your pets in my home, but I would also be comfortable staying at your home to take care of your pets.
“We are so glad we found Amanda and Matthew, and can highly recommend them. They kept us updated with pictures and videos of our pup, Wiley. The only problem was, Wiley looked like he was having so much fun, we figured he wouldn’t ever want to leave! 😎”

About: I grew up having a dog in the house so I know what it’s like to care for one, and the responsibilities that come with it. I believe dogs are like humans meaning they need the same love and attention that we do. While your dog is in my care we will go on walks, I’ll play with them, and take care of all its basic needs as well as providing pictures and videos to keep you updated. One of my special skills is that I am very patient with animals. I know it’s hard to trust a stranger with your fur baby but I am very trustworthy and caring and will treat your dog as if it was my own. Thank you very much!
“Michael was great! He was very kind, and gave me status updates. He treated my dog like part of the family. I would recommend him to everyone and will be using his services in the future whenever he is available.”

About: My 1 year old, fixed cat would love company. She plays well with others and would be delighted to have a friend come to visit! I work full time from home and would love to have your baby visit. I jog daily and go on frequent walks during the day, I’d love a dog to keep me company! I have a fenced in yard and spacious inside, your baby will have room to play. My 3 year old cat thinks she’s a dog, she friendly, social, she fetches toys and comes when I call her. She loves cats and dogs, and would keep yours entertained!
“We threw a small superbowl party at our home. Floki does not do well with guests stopping by, so we searched for near by dog sitter to watch him for the evening. We met with Jordan a couple weeks prior to dropping Floki off. He did well with him and his son. Jordan sent pictures throughout his, putting our mind to ease! The picture of our dog with his head on his son's lap was PERFECT! Like I said, he doesn't do well with strangers stopping by so this made both of us very happy receiving this photo! Floki is a very energetic dog and he was tired when he came home. Jordan took Floki for 2 long walks which was not expected but appreciated! He went above and beyond previous sitters!!! So grateful to have found him! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Oh and another thing that we must mention, he got along with the other dogs he cared for; out of the norm for Floki! We're definitely going to use him for future events.”

Connie was very attentive to our concerns following a bad experience with a local boarding kennel. She was understanding and reassuring and addressed each one with care. Both our fur pups came home happy and well cared for. Loved all the pics and updates as well. Highly recommend

Summer 🐾 said she enjoyed staying with Chelsea and REALLY enjoyed playing and sleeping with the kids! She felt at home. 😄 Chelsea communicated in a timely manner and and accommodated Summer’s medication needs. Drop off and pick up were easy. Summer hopes to stay with Chelsea again in the future. 😉

Rafael did a great job boarding and taking care of our dog while we were away. He was very easy to work with and always quick to respond to messages. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing our pup was in good hands, we'd definitely book with Rafael again in the future.

Holli has been wonderful to work with and my dog came back calm and happy after a four day stay with her. Hollis dogs are also well behaved and made the experience for my dog great since he had playmates! I am very happy to know I have a safe and good place for my pup to stay when I have to leave him behind.

Brianna has cared for my Rottweiler, Hanna, several times and it’s obvious that Hanna is well cared for and loved while with her. Hanna has seemed excited to come back to Brianna’s house… And sometimes I think she’d rather stay there (where she gets a lot of attention and affection,) than come home with me at the end of her “sleepovers”! Brianna is a very personable, reliable and lovely young woman and I will continue to seek her services when needed.

Mason was great with Zeus! Her communication was good, she kept me updated with pictures and videos, and it was clear he was having a great time. He got along well with her dogs and loved the off-leash group walks where they could run, play, and burn off energy together. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring boarding sitter.

This was my first time using Rover or boarding my dog, so I was quite nervous. Miriam is great! My dog loved her and it is obvious she cares greatly about dogs. She communicates quickly and is easy to work with. Next time I go out of town, I will book my dog with Miriam!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
