About: I’ve taken care of dogs for friends, family, and clients for the last decade. I have experiencing administering medication as my family dog was diabetic, as well as medications for client’s pets as well. As a college student entering summer time, I have a lot of open availability to hang with your best furry friends! Pet care is an easy fit as I have a hybrid job with extremely flexible hours. I am free throughout the week as well as most weekends! I really do love hanging out with animals, so they receive my full attention!! Safety is a huge priority to having fun and spending time with them, so I remain extremely attentive to make sure they get the best safe care they can!
“Nikki was great with our beagle, Bobby. And she was great with us too! I loved her daily reports and she was very quick to answer every text. This was our first time using a pet sitter and we would definitely use Nikki again.”

“Wow! Great experience. Henry Took the extra time to take Charlie for a walk… Took pictures for me and gave me an update when he left. The whole experience was very reassuring. Charlie also seemed more at ease when I got home… Having Henry visit with him definitely made a difference. We will absolutely be Booking Henry again.”

“Shelby is an amazing pet sitter! She is so kind and is a great communicator. She will take great care of your pet and makes you feel more comfortable about leaving your pet.”

“Jeff did a drop in visit for us so we could spend most of the day with our kiddos in Portland. He played with our dog and gave our dog and cat their dinners so we could relax and enjoy our day. All went great!”

“Alyssa was wonderfully attentive for the drop-in visits we scheduled to take care of our two cats. All of the instructions were followed precisely and she provided all the photos I requested (worried for a cat who doesn't eat well when we're not at home). She also provided great notes with context of what she observed during her visits. We met for a meet & greet at the house and to go over the care routine, and we were impressed with her pleasant and calm energy which is a must for any caretaker of our anxious cats. She provided not just the requested service but also peace of mind. Thank you Alyssa, we'll definitely be looking to book with you again!! 🙏😸”

About: Since childhood I have been around dogs and have developed a passion for caring for and bonding with them. I have raised two dogs of my own from puppy-hood, one of whom is now a senior dog who requires a little extra care. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and when I am pet-sitting, I treat them with the same attention and care as if they were my own. I have a passion for bonding with animals and making them feel seen and comfortable. I have experience administering medicine and have mitigated many situations with potentially aggressive dogs. In the course of my career I have encountered many different dogs on different properties and always make it a priority to visit with them (if they allow it) and make them feel comfortable and non-threatened. I am a full-time student, but with half of my classes being online, I have room to focus on pet-sitting. Animals are my passion and I will make sure that your pets are a priority. I will ensure that ample time and attention is given to your fur babies. I seek to get as much information as possible about the best way to care for your pets so thet I can care for them properly. I offer drop-in care and house-sitting care, all of which is dependent on your needs and comfort level. As I am a guest in you and your pets' space, I ensure that your pets feel safe and have ample time to focus on walks or other activities.
About: My name is Gabby and I am a veterinary student at Oregon State University. I have been pet sitting for over 10 years and have many years of experience in the veterinary field. I am comfortable giving medications and providing care to pets with a variety of medical needs. I am certified in Dog and Cat CPR and am Fear Free Certified, which means I am trained to recognize and reduce stress, anxiety, and fear in animals. As a veterinary student, I have additional knowledge of animal health and behavior and can recognize potential concerns and provide an extra level of care and attention. I have a very flexible schedule during the summer and can make many visits during the day or stay however long your pet may need! It's important that both you and your pet can trust that I will provide the best care. Since I am planning on becoming a veterinarian one day, I am committed to the wellbeing of animals. That means that I guarantee that your pet will get lots of playtime, attention, and the care it needs. I will make sure that your pet is comfortable around me first to avoid any nerves and so we can have a great time together!

About: I have house sat for many days at a time for a few different people both in and out of Corvallis. All of the family’s also had dogs that I watched, fed (including medications, special food etc), played with, and walked! I make sure to clean up after myself and the pets (including cleaning food bowls, picking up after them in the yard etc)I make sure to send pictures and keep in touch with family’s about both their pets and houses! I know how sad it is to leave your pets behind for a trip so I try and make it feel like you have them right there with you and you know they are getting the best care:). I have had multiple pets in the past including cats, dogs( of multiple sizes) and the occasional reptile! Currently I have two adorable female cats named Luna and Kitty. I am currently a student at phagens beauty collage Monday through Friday! I would have time all weekend Friday through Sunday to dog walk, house sit, check in on pets, etc. I would also have availability in the afternoons Monday through Friday anytime after seven pm to dog walk :). I am unable to offer care for pets in my home at the moment because I am in an apartment with a few other people however that will be changing soon! I have two cats so any pets that are nice with cats would be allowed! In other people homes (which I have the most experience in) I would be able to feed, water, play with, walk, groom, and clean up after dogs or cats!
“Emily is such a courteous and attentive sitter!! She gave frequent updates during check-ins, sent several photos and videos of my cat Michi, and she even let me know that each task for Michi was done and done correctly. She went the extra mile to ask clarifying questions and ensure Michi's care would go accordingly before I left. I highly recommend Emily and I will definitely be booking with her again! 😊”

About: I've had dogs since I was three years old, I took care of my golden retriever in her senior years, and my current small dog when she was a puppy and well into her adult years. I've been lucky enough to cat-sit multiple times for family and friends. I've always loved feeding, walking, photographing, and playing with animals and I know that they love me too <3. I'm a part-time student in Oregon, so my schedule is flexible. I can see your pet anytime between classes and before or after school, or on weekends. I am happy to take care of your pet at either your house or mine, depending on you and your pet's needs. My apartment in Corvallis has an off-leash dog pen where I can watch your dog safely socialize with other dogs. When I'm in Colorado for break, I can see your pet at any time and I can take care of them at your house or my house with a fully fenced backyard and friendly small dog. When I'm watching your pet, I will make sure they are well taken care of being fed, given medicine, walked, and enriched to my best ability. I love to take pictures of your dear pet and send them to you so you know how well they are doing. I make sure to lock doors and clean up in your home. I am happy to follow all care instructions to ensure a good experience for you and your beloved pets!

About: I’ve lived with animals my whole life. My father is a veterinarian and runs a vet clinic, and we’ve had animals in the house since I was born, so I’ve had plenty of experience taking care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I’ve learned how to look after animals from taking care of my family’s and friend’s pets, and I have a veterinarian on call if anything were to go wrong. :) I am currently in the process of looking for a full-time or part-time job, so for the time being I am very available to watch after and take care of your pet. I will take care to listen to any and all specific care instructions you may have for your pet. I love playing with animals and taking them for walks, so if you have an active pet I will be happy to engage with them. My father is also a practicing veterinarian, so if anything were to go wrong I can call him to help sort out what to do.
“Nilanjana did a great job looking after our two cats. She was reliable, sent us updates, and the cats were happy and well cared for when we got home. This was our first time using Rover and would definitely book again.”

About: Hi! I’m Jessi, a reliable and caring pet sitter who has grown up around dogs and cats my whole life. Being around animals has always been a big part of my life, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. I’ve regularly cared for my best friend’s three dogs and two cats whenever she’s out of town, handling check-ins, feeding, playtime, and making sure everyone stays comfortable and cared for. Two of the dogs I’ve watched are senior dogs (around 14–15 years old), so I’m experienced with older pets who may need extra patience, gentler care, and close attention. I’ve also dog sat for one of my mom’s real estate clients, which has helped me become dependable, respectful, and trustworthy in other people’s homes. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets and different personalities whether your pet is energetic, shy, or older and needs a slower pace. I always follow your pet’s routine and will send updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I'm experienced with senior pets and comfortable providing attentive, gentle care. While I’m not able to administer injections, I’m happy to follow routines and assist with general care needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority! I’m currently home full-time, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your pet’s care and comfort. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walking on weekends and weekdays in late morning to about 4 or 5ish. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, and loving care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow each pet’s routine and care instructions closely to help them feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I’m patient, attentive, and experienced around dogs and cats, and I’ll treat your pets like family while you’re away.
About: I've had dogs in my life since I was a child. Recently I have been walking dogs for Safe Haven animal rescue in Lebanon. I don't currently have any pets, but I frequently cat and dog sit for friends and family-as recently as two days ago. I consider myself to have a natural instinct when it comes to caring for dogs and one day hope to meet them all! I currently work part time from home and I am available seven days per week, almost all hours of the day! I have quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule and would love to walk your dog. I live in an apartment with lots of light and access to grassy areas and parks nearby. I live in a suburban neighborhood in Corvallis.

Caroline was so great!! She responded promptly, was able to be flexible with us and was very understanding when my schedule got chaotic. My cat Toulouse was clearly a fan of hers and she sent several sweet pictures with her update. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!
Alyssa was such a hero being able to take care of our cat at the last minute and dealing with our constantly changing schedule. She was flexible and accommodating and so responsive and went above and beyond to make sure our sweet cat was safe and happy. No notes, highly recommend Alyssa!!!
Meredith was amazing with Bandit and made quick friends! She did a great job taking care of the plants and garbage as well, on top of being available for a week-long last-minute reservation. The fact that she's a vet tech is just the icing on the cake that put me completely at ease during my travel. Would absolutely recommend her services elsewhere! 🙂

Angel is absolute best. My cat loves her and she even found a new toy he likes despite not being the playful type. He’s a big cat and she did great job keeping cat boxes clean. No smell at all once we got home. Terrific, dependable and professional care can’t be beat.

Katja was excellent with our cat!! She is attentive, timely, has excellent communication, sent great pictures, and made sure to check-in before we arrived back home for any additional instructions. The enrichment she provided for Clover was above and beyond, and her animal background made her a no-brainer to book with!! A smooth & very wonderful experience, we’re so thankful! 😊

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
