“Jeff did a drop in visit for us so we could spend most of the day with our kiddos in Portland. He played with our dog and gave our dog and cat their dinners so we could relax and enjoy our day. All went great!”

“Shelby did a great job with our cat when we needed drop-ins. She is very prompt and took great photos/videos to make sure we knew our cat was safe and healthy. We will definitely be asking her back, and would recommend to anyone!”

“Nikki was great with our beagle, Bobby. And she was great with us too! I loved her daily reports and she was very quick to answer every text. This was our first time using a pet sitter and we would definitely use Nikki again.”

“Ashley took such great care of our cat, Walter, while we were gone for the holidays! He was a little shy at first, but happily opened up for all of the pats and scritches once he realized he was in good company. Would highly recommend Ashley and look forward to having her back in the future!”

About: My love for animals began at a young age, as I started volunteering at my local Humane Society at just 10 years old! :) Since then I’ve spent countless years dog and cat sitting for various friends and family! I am currently working part time (6-7 hr shifts) as well as a full time student beginning in the fall, but with all of my classes online I have a lot of room in my schedule afternoons and weekends! :) I will be out of town September 9th-19th, just a heads up! I care for each animal I have watched as it is my own with safety as my top priority! As someone with 7 animals at home, and who has watched up to 4 pets at one time, I pride in being extremely reliable and trustworthy.
“Animals were well cared for! Hannah kept me constantly updated, and sent pictures every visit! My animals seemed so happy when we came back! Litters were clean, and the home was in good shape! Will definitely be booking with Hannah again in the future!”

“Emily is such a courteous and attentive sitter!! She gave frequent updates during check-ins, sent several photos and videos of my cat Michi, and she even let me know that each task for Michi was done and done correctly. She went the extra mile to ask clarifying questions and ensure Michi's care would go accordingly before I left. I highly recommend Emily and I will definitely be booking with her again! 😊”

About: I have had pets my entire life. Some of the pets I have had included dogs, cats, bunnies, lizards, fish and more! I have had a lot of experience taking care of my family members and friends pets. I have also learned a lot of skills from a trained dog care professional. I am at home almost all of the time so I can spend plenty of time with any pets that I am watching, I can watch pets any day of the week and will take dogs on daily walks. I have a fenced back yard so dogs can spend plenty of time in the sun. I also will take dogs on daily walks and play with them plenty. I can also watch cats in clients homes and will be sure to give them lots of attention and play time to keep them company.
“Thor does a great job stopping by and checking on my cat! I made a mistake with some of the dates, and he was really nice and understanding about it. I will definitely keep using his services!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Corvallis
Kendal was wonderful with our cat! We reached out to her pretty last minute and she was very responsive with making arrangements. She took great care of our boy, and was great with communication while we were away. We were very happy having Kendal watch our cat and would recommend her to anyone looking for a petsitter!

Caroline did an excellent job taking care of our shy cat, Maui. She was eventually successful in getting Maui out from under a bed and interacting a bit. I had also asked Caroline to fill three bird/bee baths and she accomplished that chore each day as well. We got lots of photos and updates twice a day, which gave us peace of mind.

Meredith was amazing with Bandit and made quick friends! She did a great job taking care of the plants and garbage as well, on top of being available for a week-long last-minute reservation. The fact that she's a vet tech is just the icing on the cake that put me completely at ease during my travel. Would absolutely recommend her services elsewhere! 🙂

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
