I am available most evenings and weekends to take care of your pets. I am working a flexible hybrid in-office/telework schedule, so I have flexibility to care for your pets during the work day.

I am happy to take care of your fur baby in your own home. I have my own transportation to get to your home, and in the very rare case of emergency to transport your pet to a vet. I interact with animals in a very calm manner as they get to know me.

It's important for me to know if your pet has any special needs or medications. I'd also like to know their likes and dislikes, from favorite treats to least favorite thing (it's the nail clipper, isn't it?). If your pet is a little anxious, that's okay - I'd just like to know how to provide them with a calm and stress-free environment.
A typical day
There are so many places to take a dog in the area! I'm happy to take your dog to your (or his/her) favorite place, or I can suggest some fun places. I love a good game of fetch or tug-of-war (sometimes at the same time).

Pet care experience
I have had pets, including dogs, cats, and rats, since I was 3 years old. I am a wildlife biologist by training, so I have experience caring for all sorts of animals. I have experience taking care of both my own and others' senior pets. I also have an adorable kitty of my own.

Lara is a great person to watch your pets! We appreciate the care she gave to our two senior pups, including administering meds. Definitely will welcome her back!
Lara was great with our old dog, communicated well with us and even left a note for the follow-up sitter (they each did 1 1/2 weeks) regarding changes in his needs. She left the house in clean condition, even though our dog has problems holding his pee. She even made an extra trip to pick up medication for him too! Highly recommend.
Lara did a great job. She was very responsive in her communication with us and quickly alerted us to a small health issue with our dog. She sent us pictures and took her on some excursions. Our house was left in pristine shape. We would highly recommend recommend Lara for dog/house sitting
Thanks for taking care of Winnie, Lara! The nearly daily updates were appreciated while we were out of country. We are obsessed with our girl, so the more pics, the better. Winnie was very happy to see us, but it seems like she was well taken care of! Thanks again!
