About: Hello. My name is Alli and I love animals. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and I’ve worked in shelters and house sat for various animals over the years. I can wash, walk, feed, run, or sit with your dog. I’m very intuitive and love to learn about the needs of each animal. I believe all animals are individuals and love to cater to their personalities and energy levels. If your dog needs attention constantly, I love to give attention! If your cat just likes having someone around for a bit, I’ll happily hang out. If your animal needs to run through a field to get out some energy, I’ll play chase with him/her! I am detail oriented and communication is very important. I have worked full time at a shelters, and also volunteer. I have availability in the mornings and evenings. I’m happy to drop by during lunch if needed! I’ve had a lot of training when it comes to animal care and handling. I am “Fear Free” Certified, I have completed ASPCA trainings, etc.
“Madeleine was amazing! She sent us lots of pictures of our kitties everyday and was very accommodating! She’s super good about communicating everything she did and how the cats were doing during her visit. The kitties were very relaxed when we got back from our trip - thank you so much Madeleine for watching our cats!”

“Alyssa was wonderfully attentive for the drop-in visits we scheduled to take care of our two cats. All of the instructions were followed precisely and she provided all the photos I requested (worried for a cat who doesn't eat well when we're not at home). She also provided great notes with context of what she observed during her visits. We met for a meet & greet at the house and to go over the care routine, and we were impressed with her pleasant and calm energy which is a must for any caretaker of our anxious cats. She provided not just the requested service but also peace of mind. Thank you Alyssa, we'll definitely be looking to book with you again!! 🙏😸”

“Thor does a great job stopping by and checking on my cat! I made a mistake with some of the dates, and he was really nice and understanding about it. I will definitely keep using his services!”

“Makana was able to book a last minute request and fit in a meet and greet which was really appreciated. She did a great job of keeping me updated and sending pictures. I could tell that my pup was having a good time!”
“George did a drop-in visit for Dobie. Let me know that he fed him dinner and took him outside for a bit. Also sent some nice photos. Very much appreciated! Thanks George!”

About: I grew up with 4 family dogs and now have a senior boxer/lab of my own. My baby and I have been together for 10 years and I also cared for a cat for about 5. I have reptile experience too! I’m a part-time student and am happy to communicate and work out a schedule that works for your pet. My classes are all in the morning and then I’m pretty open for the rest of the day! I cannot bring any animals to my place as my dog would not appreciate that, however I am happy to spend as much time needed on walks or at the pets home!

About: Hi, my name is Josh. I have always had dogs growing up and love all their different personalities. I believe a dog needs time outside to be happy and healthy and I am excited for the opportunity to give that to some deserving puppers! I have engaged with dogs of all different sizes and breeds. I love going on walks and playing. I also love hiking and would be more than happy to take a dog to a trail if the owner permits. I also am available to house sit or do house calls if needed. I am confident that your dog will be in great hands with me. Thanks!
About: Hello dog owners! And maybe even a few cats. My name is Nolan, I'm a twenty five year old guy looking to fill the gap that is a home with no pets in it, alongside making a little money of course! There has been no point in my life up until now that I haven't had dogs actively in my life, from pitbulls and bulldogs, to golden retrievers and yellow labs. There is no dog too naughty and no dog too young or old in my mind. I have bottle fed puppies as well as carried the most senior dogs up and down stairs. The creatures hold a particularly sweet place in my heart and if you are in a lifestyle that makes your little buddy need some outside help, I hope you would consider me as your walker because I will treat every pup with the patience and love I believe they all deserve, and I prefer to walk an individual families pets more so than a whole herd because I know they all want some attention specific to them. Hope to hear from you and your pup soon! At the moment I am applying for some VA assistance having finished my time in the service. So my schedule is wide open, I wish to be able to use my time well, help others and their pets to make a little scratch while I reacclimate. I would be willing to do drop in visits, potentially stay overs after enough time if that service is requested, so that we may get to know one another. Person to person and to pet! Im a big believer in the value of enrichment play, and like to apply a mixture of walk/run, fetch, tug, and hide and seek games with toys and treats. Anything I can do to help a pets mind flex as much as its limbs. But the skies the limit when theres familiarity and comfort with an animal. Feel free to explain any of your needs and we will work on it together.

About: I have house sat for many days at a time for a few different people both in and out of Corvallis. All of the family’s also had dogs that I watched, fed (including medications, special food etc), played with, and walked! I make sure to clean up after myself and the pets (including cleaning food bowls, picking up after them in the yard etc)I make sure to send pictures and keep in touch with family’s about both their pets and houses! I know how sad it is to leave your pets behind for a trip so I try and make it feel like you have them right there with you and you know they are getting the best care:). I have had multiple pets in the past including cats, dogs( of multiple sizes) and the occasional reptile! Currently I have two adorable female cats named Luna and Kitty. I am currently a student at phagens beauty collage Monday through Friday! I would have time all weekend Friday through Sunday to dog walk, house sit, check in on pets, etc. I would also have availability in the afternoons Monday through Friday anytime after seven pm to dog walk :). I am unable to offer care for pets in my home at the moment because I am in an apartment with a few other people however that will be changing soon! I have two cats so any pets that are nice with cats would be allowed! In other people homes (which I have the most experience in) I would be able to feed, water, play with, walk, groom, and clean up after dogs or cats!

About: Hello, I love meeting new animals and visiting the pets in the animal shelter! I have had a puppy and 3 cats growing up and would love to work for you! I am currently able to work in the mornings and evenings everyday. I am a college student who misses her pet at home and considers pets like family. I have a cat and love my significant others dog like my own. I love animals like family and miss mine from home since I am currently living at college.

About: I have been trusted with pet and house care since I was around 10 years old, I truly treat every animal I watch as my own. I am comfortable with caring for multiple pets at a time and have experience caring for newborn kittens with health complications, senior animals, and special needs animals. I will typically build my days around pet care. My only time constraints at the time are two classes this upcoming fall term (starts around September 20th). I will have lots of time to dedicate to your fur babies. I am happy to follow the routines, instructions, and typical practices for your animal(s) in your home. I always make an effort to respect the space, communicate clearly and often, and provide care you can trust.
About: I've grown up with dogs and other animals my entire life and have lots of experience with training and pet care. I have experience with large medium and small breeds including, boxers, huskies, cane corso's, Pomeranian's, french bulldogs, bully breeds, and great pyrenees. I've cared for dogs from puppy to late adulthood, as well as adult rescues. I recently graduated from OSU and am looking to fill my free time. I'm available every day of the week with enough notice in advance. I will treat your pet as if they are my own. I have also used Rover for finding sitters for my own dogs, so I value trust and safety when concerning pets. Any specific care instructions for your pet, I am more than happy to oblige.
About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for my own two dogs, which has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each dog's unique personality. With my second dog especially, I took an active role in training and behavior development, learning how to use positive reinforcement and establish routines that help dogs feel secure and happy. I regularly help friends by providing midday potty breaks and companionship for their dogs when they're at work or traveling. This has given me experience with different breeds, temperaments, and household routines. I understand how important it is to follow each pet's specific schedule, respect house rules, and provide the attention and exercise they're used to. I know that every dog is different - some need lots of playtime and stimulation, while others prefer quiet companionship. I'm comfortable with basic commands, can recognize signs of stress or discomfort, and always prioritize the pet's safety and well-being above all else. I currently work part-time, which gives me excellent flexibility for pet care services. I'm available every weekday after 3pm and have full availability on weekends. This schedule works perfectly for dog walks, evening pet visits, and weekend pet sitting when families are traveling. My part-time work arrangement means I can be consistent and reliable with your pet's routine. Whether you need daily walks, midday check-ins, or weekend care, I can accommodate regular schedules and provide the consistency that pets thrive on. I'm also available for last-minute requests when my schedule allows. I understand that pets need care even when their families are working full days, and my afternoon and weekend availability is ideal for busy pet parents who want to ensure their furry family members get attention and exercise while they're away. During pet check-ins, I focus on making sure each animal gets the individual attention and care they need. I always let dogs spend as much time outside as they want - whether that's a quick potty break or a longer play session in the yard. I pay attention to their energy level and preferences that day. I believe quality time is just as important as meeting basic needs, so I make sure to engage with each pet through play, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. For more active dogs, I'm happy to take them on short walks during my visit to give them extra exercise and mental stimulation. I follow the specific instructions and routines that pet parents provide, but I also adapt to what the pet seems to need in the moment. Some days they might want to play fetch, other days they just want someone to sit with them. I always make sure they have fresh water, food if needed, and that they seem comfortable and content before I leave. I provide updates to pet parents so they know how their furry family member is doing, including any highlights from our time together.

Im working part time at the moment and have space between and after my classes to take care of whatever business and pet sitting necessary :) I am very patient and careful with dogs with knowing many temperaments are different and unique. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Noon
Allison did a great job with the twice-daily drop-in visits for my cat, while I was away for four days. She followed the instructions I left and sent texts at the start and end of each visit. She also sent photos for every drop-in and replied to my texts promptly. She was reliable, consistent and trustworthy. I felt comfortable with her on my home and caring for my cat, and I’ll hire her for my next trip without hesitation.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
