“My dog has a great time with Bradley. He seemed very happy and got plenty of attention and activity. Bradley wa great in communication, genuine affection for pups. I’d definitely look to Bradley in the future for dog sitting.”

“You will not find more attentive and caring hosts than Dan and Dave! Our very anxious older dog was quickly at home with them and their sweet chihuahua, Hoss. Our Maisie was walked twice a day and I was sent pictures and updates each day. I couldn't recommend them more highly! They are wonderful pet hosts!!”

“Allison was amazing with our pup! Pepper loved her right away and I could tell from the meet and greet that this was a great fit. Allison was communicative, engaged and helpful with every step of setting up our dog’s boarding. She sent pictures and updates during our trip so we knew our girl was happy and cozy. We are excited to have found someone we feel so comfortable leaving our girl with and will definitely be connecting with her again in the future!”

About: I worked at a pet boarding facility for a 7 years before I moved. I am a fast learner and choose to have the pet accept me before moving on to anything else. I shadowed groomers and vets to be sure the road I was taking would assure me happiness with animals and still plenty of time with my own animals. Working with the boarding facility I learned pets are different without there parents and can act differently around them so learning their likes and dislikes personally is a must for me. I want to make sure Pets and Parents are happy with me as help. I want both parties to feel safe, happy, and well rested when staying with me. I am currently working part-time with a flexible schedule. I would be able to come for an early morning and evening walk or adventure if needed. I have two dogs that are high energy. We often go to parks, take long walks, or swimming during hot days. I do have a kennel and a large vehicle for transport.
“Jillian was great. Did a test run to make sure my dog fit with her dogs before hand. She is very smart with dogs and how they work, so there was no concerns. My dog was very happy to be there and was still happy when we picked him up. She also took him out for activities sent photos during the stay.”

“We were so concerned about finding the right sitter for Jinx. Zuri was fantastic though! Jinx got to make some new furry friends, and Zuri sent so many videos and picture updates! By the end of the first night, I knew we had made a good choice! Thank you Zuri, for being such a good sitter for our big spoiled fur baby!”

“Nancy was a wonderful host for our sweet Mac! Nancy provided great communication and was flexible with a last minute timing change. We will absolutely utilize Nancy’s services next time we are in the area!”

“Always go to Jade! I just had surgery and only booked for a couple days! She kept my Olly for 2 more additional days! Recovering from surgery was so much easier knowing he was being well lived and cares for. The pictures and videos really helped when I was missing him! I highly recommend Jade, she is Olly 🐾approved!”

“Victoria did a fantastic job taking care of Toby. She took him on some great walks. I got updates every day which I really appreciate. Herwaardering a happy camper when I picked him up.”

“Arielle was amazing!!! This was our first time ever leaving our fur baby with anyone other than family! She made us feel so at ease & remained in contact with us throughout his stay! She sent us pictures so we could see how he was doing & it looked like he was on vacation!!! She accepted him last minute & he came home so content & exhausted from his playtime! We have definitely found Opi’s home away from home!!! If you’re looking for an awesome sitter for your fur baby, look no further!!!”

“Daisy has been boarded with Nadja several times at this point, and has a great doggie vacation! Nadja sends a lot of photo updates and it very responsive. 10/10”

“Amanda and Matthew did a wonderful job taking care of our dog pepper. We got picture and video updates everyday they had puzzles for her . My feeling is they understand animals because they own so many. This is a quality that I look for in any rover provider somebody who understands animals. She wasn't left alone for 8 hrs a day or crated. And they welcomed our dogs as if she was their own.”

One of my special skills is that I am very patient with animals. “Lizzie was friendly, mindful of my cats' experience, and easy to communicate with. I would completely recommend her; I'll contact her first if I need my cats watched again. I appreciated her updates and photos throughout the day. My cats can be a bit scared when they are in a new place, but Lizzie gave them space to find their spots to chill while they wondered why the heck they were in a new place without me. She cared for them exactly as I would hope when my little ladies are with someone they are unfamiliar with.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Philomath
Rebecca was great. She took the time to meet Boon (Border Collie Mix), get to know him, and listen to what he needed for care. She took him into her home and her two dogs created a comfortable spot for Boon over a long weekend. Rebecca was on time, available, clear in her communication, and flexible when needed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
