Elizabeth was very responsive and flexible and helped us in a pinch with a very last minute drop-in request. We are so grateful for her. She did everything we asked and even helped us out by bringing a package inside. We feel lucky to have found her and plan to request her for all of our future drop-in or house-sitting needs!

Alyssa was wonderfully attentive for the drop-in visits we scheduled to take care of our two cats. All of the instructions were followed precisely and she provided all the photos I requested (worried for a cat who doesn't eat well when we're not at home). She also provided great notes with context of what she observed during her visits. We met for a meet & greet at the house and to go over the care routine, and we were impressed with her pleasant and calm energy which is a must for any caretaker of our anxious cats. She provided not just the requested service but also peace of mind. Thank you Alyssa, we'll definitely be looking to book with you again!! 🙏😸

Elly did a great job in a difficult situation. The extremely hot weather made our cat a bit difficult. Elly was right on top of things, sending her concerns about Winnie's ouchy behavior. We communicated frequently to find ways for Elly to make Winnie feel better in the heat. Daily pictures helped me see some of Winnie's issues. All was good due to Elly's good attention to details.

About: My family has owned cats since I was a child. For any family or friends I would take their dogs out for walks, play time, and even stayed overnight with them if needed! I do have professional experience from doggy daycare for 2 years which included play time, walks, baths + grooms, nap times, feeding schedules and medications, boarding and much more! I have personal experience training dogs as well, patience is key. I have even trained my own kitties to do tricks! I work full time but I am able to leave early almost every day and then I do something else to fill in the rest of the day. I am available late afternoon-night. The days I can pet sit are after and before work Saturday-Tuesday. My cats are all inside cats. Two need lot of attention and I give them as much cuddles as I can and loves. The other two also need a lot of love but they are shy so I always make sure they are comfortable before handling them. With dogs, I always make sure I’m doing exactly what I’m told by the owners. I’m a very patient person as well, so if a pet is shy or nervous I always stay calm, never push them, and I let them come to me on their own time so I can build the trust.

About: Taking a break from being a pet foster to pet sit again. I was a vet tech for 8 years and I have owned pets for 30 years. I can administer any medications needed. I will also watch dogs that have behavioral issues and I have no breed restrictions. My schedule provides the ability to watch puppies and provide them with the frequent play and bathroom breaks they need. I can also take your pet to any appointments they may have while you are out of town. I am unable to watch pets in my home. I will take your dog on hikes with me if you want or will take them on a stroll in your neighborhood. My work allows me to work from home so when I am pet sitting, I am able to spend a lot of time with your pet. When I am taking care of someone's pet, I treat them as if they were my own. I know that keeping their routine helps to minimize any stress of their owner being away.

About: Important info: for house-sitting, i bring my small senior dog with me to each booking, as long as you are comfortable, and we do an i initial meet and greet for your pets to be around him. For drop-in care, he does not need to be there. Since childhood I have been around dogs and have developed a passion for caring for and bonding with them. I have raised two dogs of my own from puppy-hood, one of whom is now a senior dog who requires a little extra care. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and when I am pet-sitting, I treat them with the same attention and care as if they were my own. I have a passion for bonding with animals and making them feel seen and comfortable. I have experience administering medicine and have mitigated many situations with potentially aggressive dogs. In the course of my career I have encountered many different dogs on different properties and always make it a priority to visit with them (if they allow it) and make them feel comfortable and non-threatened. I am a full-time student, but with half of my classes being online, I have room to focus on pet-sitting. Animals are my passion and I will make sure that your pets are a priority. I will ensure that ample time and attention is given to your fur babies. I seek to get as much information as possible about the best way to care for your pets so thet I can care for them properly. I offer drop-in care and house-sitting care, all of which is dependent on your needs and comfort level. As I am a guest in you and your pets' space, I ensure that your pets feel safe and have ample time to focus on walks or other activities.

I'm great with walking all kinds of dogs weather they are older and need to walk slower or fast past hyper dogs. I'm also great at looking after cats feeding and playing with them. I am currently a part-time worker but more then likely always flexible with my schedule on weekdays and weekends to walk your pet or swing by to let them out, feed them, or even play with your pet. Nadiya is wonderful about communicating regularly! She has a strong background in being with dogs of all types - from well=mannered to having behavioral issues and is confident and comfortable in almost all situations. As a result, she is reassuring that our dog will be fine with her during the extended time she will be housesitting!. I appreciated her willingness to come for this drop in visit prior to her commitment to stay here for almost 2 weeks! Her calm demeanor and confidence contributed to my having trust that my dog will be happy and safe with her while I am gone.

About: I've taken care of pets basically my whole life, especially cats, and I've also had a dog for a couple years. I'm always the first person my friends and family call when they need help with their pets. I stay well read on what's good for animals, from training to helping with anxiety, and I'm always willing to go the extra mile to make sure a pet is happy. They're living creatures who deserve just as much happiness as we do. In terms of training, I've helped a cat retrain to use the litter box after it regressed due to anxiety, working through the root cause rather than just the behavior itself. I've also reduced aggression in animals through consistent training. I'm willing to stick with things for a long time and stay consistent, especially when it's for the betterment of the animal. My life is quite flexible, so pet care fits easily into my routine. I prefer jobs where I'm able to stay in charge of how the work gets done, since that's when I feel like I can give my best contribution. That flexibility means I can adjust to a pet's needs rather than squeezing them into a rigid schedule. When I'm caring for a pet in their own environment, I make sure to respect their space and routine completely, from where they're allowed to go to how they're used to being handled. I pay close attention to safety details like doors, gates, and anything that could be harmful to them, and I adapt to whatever setup the home already has in place.

Emily was amazing! This was the second time she’s watched our fur babies, and we always feel so comfortable leaving them in her care. She helped us out last minute, communicated really well the whole time, and even had an unexpected emergency come up but still made sure our pets were taken care of. She’s reliable, caring, and clearly loves animals. We came home to happy pets and had great peace of mind while we were away. We would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
