I have several years experience in the professional pet care community; that includes 5 years in the veterinary field and 4 years as a small business owner. My side-hussle is dog hiking but I am a pro at pet sitting. Bonus: I HAVE FARM ANIMAL EXPERIENCE! I have multiple years of assistanting with sheep, goats, alpaca, small animals like reptiles, hampsters, bunnies, and birds such as chickens, ducks, geese and parakeets. Other services I provide include Drop-In Visits, Nail Trims, Administration of Medications and House Sitting. PLEASE NOTE IN ADVANCE if your fluff baby does not yet handle children. I am a homeschooling mom and my Mini-Me is often with me on my visits. My rate varies and I accommodate sliding-scale needs. I home-school my 2nd grader and work super-part time with my government job. This means I'm very flexible! I can mold my day around your furbabies schedule. **I can do doggy day care or over nights at my home for well established clients only.** I have a fully fenced, dog and child-centric acre with grass and gravel, sun and shade. I keep all gates closed or locked. With the exception of the doggy door so pups have freedom to come in from the elements or to go out for fresh air and potty breaks.

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life, having grown up with pets. About: I have grown up always taking care of animals. I've owned a dog for as long as I can remember, and I love taking care of my babies. I essentially became the sole caretaker of the dog currently at my house when I began high school - he was a newborn puppy we rescued and I was the only one who could really take care of him in the morning, afternoon, and night. As of now, my family owns three cats as well as the family dog, so my hands are always full taking care and playing with them! While in college, I dog sat for a labradoodle and a great dane "runt", and while I began my first out-of-college job, I dog sat for a family with three dogs who needed lots of stimulation and walks around the neighborhood. I have a lot of personal experience taking care of pets, and I love getting to play with animals! I'm looking for some part-time gigs, and I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule at the moment, so I am available for weekdays, weekends, overnights, walks and potty breaks. My house is not really suited for any more animals - we have a cat who is very tempermental and a dog who doesn't quite understand boundaries. I will provide my services instead at your home, by coming in and caring for your pet in the comfort of their own home.

About: I’ve had dogs, cats, fish, lizards, guinea pigs, hamsters, a snake, and even a chinchilla throughout my life, so I’ve truly never known life without being surrounded by animals. I’m a huge animal lover, and caring for them has always come naturally to me, whether they’re my own or belong to family and friends. I have roughly 10+ years of non-professional experience and 3 years of professional experience caring for pets, including pet sitting and working with animals of different personalities and needs. A lot of the photos on my profile are actually with pets I’ve cared for, pet sat, or even strays I’ve come across and helped. That being said, I’ll be moving into a townhome with more space at the end of August. “Josh was Incredible! My dog, Ziggy, is a bit apprehensive meeting new people and especially welcoming people into our home. Josh listened to my requests for their first meeting and had such good vibes and body language that it was a mere matter of minutes before Ziggy was literally eating out of his hands and Ziggy had no problem with Josh following us upstairs and hanging out inside. I didn't doubt for a second that Josh could handle Ziggy's antics and his strength on the leash. Josh sent daily updates and pictures of Ziggy out on walks and snuggling with him on the couch. I had a friend checking in on my kitty but Josh noticed that she (the cat) had thrown up in the spare room and not only let me know about it, and kept an eye on her mood/behaviors but even took it upon himself to clean up the mess! About: I've been cat-sitting for family friends and neighbors since I was around 7 or 8 and am very comfortable working with them. I've had cats in my house with me since I was born. I've also been around a lot of different kinds (and personalities!) of dogs since I was little--a lot of my friends and family have dogs and I love walking and playing with them. I'm a UO student looking for fun ways to make a little bit of money and meet some new furry friends. I have lots of time in between classes for walks, drop ins, and I ALWAYS have time for dog cuddles! I work and play with pets differently depending on how comfortable they are with me--I will play with more excitable dogs and cats in a more high energy way than with pets who are more calm, and I will not force a pet to play or interact with me if they feel threatened (as some more skittish dogs and cats might). Above all I will always make sure that the pets are safe and that their comfort is prioritized over my desire to play with them.
