About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.

About: Caring for pets has been an important part of my life for as long as I remember and I know how important it is that our furry family members get the best care when we are away. From daily feeding, playtime, and training to handling medications, vet visits, trips to the emergency vet, I've done it all. I volunteer weekly at the Greenhill Humane Society socializing shy and nervous cats and have completed a course in pet CPR and first aid. With an 18-month-old boxer of my own, I know all about working with exuberant dogs and puppies and am always learning new training techniques to help with enrichment and obedience. A few things I would like every pet parent to provide me before I care for their pet. We can discuss this, and anything that I missed, when we first meet. - Expected arrival and departure dates and time - Emergency contacts besides yourself - Feeding schedule and instructions, including treats allowed - Health conditions to be aware of - Detailed medication instructions if needed - Name and address of their vet - Closest emergency vet - Pet temperament (fears, anxieties, etc) - Toys and favorite games - Where pet(s) sleep - Where they are and are not allowed in the house or yard (if dog) Dog: - Their potty habits - Equipment such as harnesses, leashes, poop bags, treats etc. - Anything I need to know about their behavior outside of the home (walking, in the car, around other animals and people) - Crate rules (if used) House (if housesitting): - Alarm instructions if applicable - Trash, recycling, and mail/package handling - Location of pet supplies - Location of thermostats, electrical panels, laundry, etc. - Wifi password, remote controls, etc. - Any service professionals who might visit during the stay (cleaners, yard maintenance, etc.) - Expectations around plants, mail, clean-up before your return I'm retired from the UO, so outside of my volunteer hours (~6 hours/week), my schedule is very flexible! I'm happy to work with the schedule that suits your pets needs. Meeting your pet's needs is my highest priority, whether it is playtime, quiet affection, a long walk, or simple companionship. I ask that all pet owners leave detailed instructions on their pet's needs, including what treats they can have, medications required, how they like to play, what actions or situations might cause anxiety, and all information for vet care and emergency contacts.

About: I've had dogs my entire life and have always loved just being around animals. While I'm away from home, I'd love to spend some time with dogs and help give them the best possible time I can! I'm a college student, so my schedule shifts a bit with the seasons, but pet care fits in easily either way. Over the summer, I'm home essentially all day, every day, so I have plenty of time for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins whenever they're needed. This fall, I'll be taking classes again, but since they're online and my schedule is very flexible, I'll still have plenty of availability throughout the day. While I don't currently have a pet of my own, I've spent a lot of time caring for others' animals and understand how much consistency and attention matters. I'm happy to work around your pet's existing routine, whether that means a set feeding schedule, a mid-day walk, or just extra company during the day. Since I offer dog walking and house sitting/drop-in visits rather than boarding, most of my pet care happens in the client's home and neighborhood, so I always make safety and comfort a top priority there. Before any visit, I like to get a clear understanding of the pet's routine, any commands they know, leash behavior, and specific instructions from the owner. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed, stay aware of traffic and other animals, and avoid unfamiliar areas that could pose risks. For house sitting and drop-ins, I treat the client's home with the same care and respect as I would my own, making sure doors and gates are securely closed, food and water are refreshed as needed, and any medications or special routines are followed exactly as instructed. I also send updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pet is safe and well cared for while they're away. At my own home, I have a fenced yard and no other pets or young kids, which makes it easy to give a visiting dog calm, focused attention with minimal distractions or safety concerns.

About: I have volunteered at the Humane Society of Utah weekly for 5 years with both dogs and cats where I’ve had the opportunity to care for both dogs and cats with all kinds of personalities and needs. Last year I moved to Oregon to pursue my undergraduate degree (go ducks!) and I’m so excited to bring my experience and love for animals to caring for your pets!! At home in Utah I have two dogs (Millie and Iroh) and a cat (Luna) and have been caring for them for the past 5 years. Iroh has epilepsy and anxiety so I am experienced with handling animal medications and special needs. I’m dedicated to making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away, and I’m happy to accommodate their individual routines, personalities, and needs. I'm currently in school at University of Oregon but do not have a job outside of that so I have a fairly flexible schedule. Typically, I am in class from 12-5pm, which means I’m available to spend my mornings and evenings with your pups and kitties! My priority is making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their normal environment. I’ll follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any other care they need. I will treat your home with the same care and consideration I would my own.

About: I've been around pets of all kinds my whole life. Even a little gator at the local pet and pet supply shop. When it comes to dogs, cats, birds, and lizards, I love them all, most of the time they love me, some tolerate until they warm up to me. I love training animals of any kind, or at least trying. :) I have part time availability, but I'm usually able to adjust my schedule to fit in with any client needs. If you pick me, your pet will always take priority and I'll do my darndest to make them comfortable and happy around me. No pets in the home because I don't live alone. As for a clients home I've learned over the years to leave a place the same way I found it. I respect your home and belongings. I can't wait to meet your pet and you.

About: I work in healthcare as my full time job so I have knowledge of caring for humans which can be similar in some ways to caring for the furry population. I have 2 German Shepherds and a golden that I have raised since they were 8 and 9 weeks old! I am familiar with potty training and crate training. I also have some experience with dogs with special needs due to one of my own being in this category at the moment. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I love them as if they were my own! I am available M-Th for walks, drop ins and sittings as I work weekends. I may be able to consider certain requests with advance notice. About: I have always had a dog in my life and have raised both puppies and senior dogs. I also have extensive experience pet sitting for neighbors and family friends. I am available pretty much every day during the week and I have a very flexible schedule. Pet care is apart of my everyday routine and I’d be more than happy to help others. In my client's homes I tend to hang out with the pet all day to keep them company and provide their needs. I don't leave them unattended and don't expect to put them in a kennel unless advised to do so.
