About: HAPPY TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR SPECIFIC PET NEEDS. I am a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. I've probably already met your dogs, cats or chickens or peacocks on my shift. I have several years experience in the professional pet care community; that includes 5 years in the veterinary field and 6 years as a small business owner. My side-hussle/ animal passion is dog-hiking, but I am a pet-sitting pro. **Bonus: I HAVE FARM ANIMAL EXPERIENCE!** I have multiple years of assistanting with sheep, goats, alpaca, including several years of experience in care and handling of birds such as chickens, ducks, geese and parakeets. Additionally, I am confident with reptiles (snakes, turtles, collard lizards, salamandars, aquatic frogs), hampsters, guinea pigs, bunnies and large rabbits all of which for whom I have cared. I have raised fish in both tanks and ponds. Other services I provide include Drop-In Visits, Nail Trims, Administration of Medications and House Sitting. I home-school my gifted 3rd grader and work super-part time with my government job. This means I'm very flexible! I can mold my day around your furbabies schedule. **I can do doggy day care or over nights at my home for well established clients only.** I have a fully fenced, dog and child-centric acre with grass and gravel, sun and shade. I keep all gates closed or locked. With the exception of the doggy door so pups have freedom to come in from the elements or to go out for fresh air and potty breaks.

“Josh was Incredible! My dog, Ziggy, is a bit apprehensive meeting new people and especially welcoming people into our home. Josh listened to my requests for their first meeting and had such good vibes and body language that it was a mere matter of minutes before Ziggy was literally eating out of his hands and Ziggy had no problem with Josh following us upstairs and hanging out inside. I didn't doubt for a second that Josh could handle Ziggy's antics and his strength on the leash. Josh sent daily updates and pictures of Ziggy out on walks and snuggling with him on the couch. I had a friend checking in on my kitty but Josh noticed that she (the cat) had thrown up in the spare room and not only let me know about it, and kept an eye on her mood/behaviors but even took it upon himself to clean up the mess! About: I have a dog and three cats, I do school online and have a very open schedule. I grew up with animals and babysit frequently. I’ve watched rabbits to horses and everything in between. I am currently in school and have a very open schedule. I am able to come and stop by or watch overnight. I am very reliable and have my own transportation. I have fostered a wonderful environment for my pets at home. My dogs fully trained on and off leash. He has excellent recall and trust with me. My cats are all free range in the house and we have gates put in place so they can have their own space. While watching others pets I am very proactive and careful of where I bring them and watch them carefully.

About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.

About: I grew up with dogs my whole life. I have one of my own. I have trained and raised a couple puppies and housesit and cared for many dogs. I also have veterinary care experience. My schedule is currently very open and I am looking to add caring for animals more into my life as it is something I really genuinely enjoy so I’m available for last minute or prepared ahead of time plans I have a fenced in backyard, with access to a doggie door. We can discuss this, and anything that I missed, when we first meet. - Expected arrival and departure dates and time - Emergency contacts besides yourself - Feeding schedule and instructions, including treats allowed - Health conditions to be aware of - Detailed medication instructions if needed - Name and address of their vet - Closest emergency vet - Pet temperament (fears, anxieties, etc) - Toys and favorite games - Where pet(s) sleep - Where they are and are not allowed in the house or yard (if dog) Dog: - Their potty habits - Equipment such as harnesses, leashes, poop bags, treats etc. - Anything I need to know about their behavior outside of the home (walking, in the car, around other animals and people) - Crate rules (if used) House (if housesitting): - Alarm instructions if applicable - Trash, recycling, and mail/package handling - Location of pet supplies - Location of thermostats, electrical panels, laundry, etc. - Wifi password, remote controls, etc. - Any service professionals who might visit during the stay (cleaners, yard maintenance, etc.) - Expectations around plants, mail, clean-up before your return I'm retired from the UO, so outside of my volunteer hours (~6 hours/week), my schedule is very flexible! I'm happy to work with the schedule that suits your pets needs. Meeting your pet's needs is my highest priority, whether it is playtime, quiet affection, a long walk, or simple companionship. I ask that all pet owners leave detailed instructions on their pet's needs, including what treats they can have, medications required, how they like to play, what actions or situations might cause anxiety, and all information for vet care and emergency contacts.
