About: Growing up with pets, I learned at a very young age, that our family dog did not like being ridden like a horse! While I've been around dogs all my life, most of my experience has been acquired during my adult years. I (Laura) am a freelancing Designer, and my husband (Lawrence) is a retired Registered Nurse. Together we have many years of experience raising our own family dogs: First we had a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, then two Yorkshire Terrier's, and currently a Pomeranian mix... ...We also raised a couple of boys, and their motley-menagerie of creatures. I think my heart doubled in size, when I realized I could combine two of my favorite passion's; hanging out with furry little Lapdogs, and creating miniature fashion's for Sport! I also really enjoy doing 'Street' photography of doggies and their humans. Dogs bring us so much joy, we just love making a fuss over them! We live near Downtown Cottage Grove, in one of it's walkable historic neighborhoods. Ours is a child-free home, offering 'Boarding' and 'Daycare' services--hosting only small lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. Additionally, we also do 'Drop-in' visits in 'your' home for small and medium size dogs. Our fully-fenced backyard features a variety of tree's and flower gardens, with lots of room to romp and play. It's complete with a covered patio that provides protection from rain or sun year around. Most importantly, we want you to feel worry-free, while we keep your doggie safe and happy! We are available full-time to provide pet care. Occasionally, I freelance from home--where I make and sell custom-fit dog wear, including alterations on existing doggie wearables. My husband is retired, so we have very flexible schedules to accommodate and host our Lapdog friends. We can host up to three Lapdogs per day/night. We also can do 'drop-in' visits to your home, for both small and medium size dogs. Well, around here, it's safety first! We host only Lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. (Also, we only take small breed puppies.) Ours is a child-free home, with a fully-fenced backyard. We can host up to three dogs per day/night. I always sleep in the same room with our visiting doggies--either on our comfy sofas, or our king sized bed. My husband is a retired Registered Nurse. Please be mindful that visiting dogs need to be current with vaccines, flea & tick prevention, and an identity tag. We also have zoned heating and air conditioning throughout our house. There's several doggie-beds, toys, and crate (if requested) or feel free to provide your own. Also, we want to know about anything you think would be helpful in making your Doggie's visit a successful stay. We offer lots of love, cuddles, and belly rubs!

About: I was an animal lover from the start, from dogs and cats, to goats, pigs and parrots, I was raised with them all. I particularly enjoy training dogs and making sure they get a balance of play, stimulation exercise, and lots of love. I’m very consistent and communicative and I send updates, videos and pictures through your animals stay. Rest assured your babies are in loving hands with me! I am fortunate to work from home, this leaves me available most of the week and weekends to play, walk, and snuggle, with your critter. I care for your fur baby as if they were my own so I like to do the things that have your pet be most comfortable in my home. I have had dogs who are crate trained, I’ve had others who sleep with me on my bed, and others prefer to roam and find a spot of their own. My home is their home. I have a fenced yard with grass to run, sniff and of course potty, as well as some toys for playtime. I walk daily and love a pup to keep me company! I also enjoy training dogs on leash or off (inside) in support of the pet parent. If that is not your thing or your pup is older and just needs a safe quiet place to be while you are gone, I adore all the snuggles, chill time and sleepy heads too. About: Ive always been willing to take on family, friends, and neighbors pets. Whether that be just going over to let them out to go potty and play or staying over. I have also had them come to my home at times. I currently work Monday-Wednesdays so I have wednesday night-sunday to hang out with your fur babies. I’m generally home but I do leave the house often. Generally not long periods of time as I have my own fur babies. I have a fenced yard and we also do walks/go to parks. We have one dog, she is extremely sweet despite her size and she absolutely loves other dogs. She’s scared of cats so she avoids our cat and they just do their own thing. Our dog is crated when we are not home, so if needed your baby can be crated as well.

I am currently in school and have a very open schedule. I am able to come and stop by or watch overnight. I am very reliable and have my own transportation. My cats are all free range in the house and we have gates put in place so they can have their own space. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.
