About: Growing up with pets, I learned at a very young age, that our family dog did not like being ridden like a horse! While I've been around dogs all my life, most of my experience has been acquired during my adult years. I (Laura) am a freelancing Designer, and my husband (Lawrence) is a retired Registered Nurse. Together we have many years of experience raising our own family dogs: First we had a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, then two Yorkshire Terrier's, and currently a Pomeranian mix... ...We also raised a couple of boys, and their motley-menagerie of creatures. I think my heart doubled in size, when I realized I could combine two of my favorite passion's; hanging out with furry little Lapdogs, and creating miniature fashion's for Sport! I also really enjoy doing 'Street' photography of doggies and their humans. Dogs bring us so much joy, we just love making a fuss over them! We live near Downtown Cottage Grove, in one of it's walkable historic neighborhoods. Ours is a child-free home, offering 'Boarding' and 'Daycare' services--hosting only small lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. Additionally, we also do 'Drop-in' visits in 'your' home for small and medium size dogs. Our fully-fenced backyard features a variety of tree's and flower gardens, with lots of room to romp and play. It's complete with a covered patio that provides protection from rain or sun year around. Most importantly, we want you to feel worry-free, while we keep your doggie safe and happy! We are available full-time to provide pet care. Occasionally, I freelance from home--where I make and sell custom-fit dog wear, including alterations on existing doggie wearables. My husband is retired, so we have very flexible schedules to accommodate and host our Lapdog friends. We can host up to three Lapdogs per day/night. We also can do 'drop-in' visits to your home, for both small and medium size dogs. Well, around here, it's safety first! We host only Lap-size dogs up to 18 lbs. (Also, we only take small breed puppies.) Ours is a child-free home, with a fully-fenced backyard. We can host up to three dogs per day/night. I always sleep in the same room with our visiting doggies--either on our comfy sofas, or our king sized bed. My husband is a retired Registered Nurse. Please be mindful that visiting dogs need to be current with vaccines, flea & tick prevention, and an identity tag. We also have zoned heating and air conditioning throughout our house. There's several doggie-beds, toys, and crate (if requested) or feel free to provide your own. “Josh was Incredible! My dog, Ziggy, is a bit apprehensive meeting new people and especially welcoming people into our home. Josh listened to my requests for their first meeting and had such good vibes and body language that it was a mere matter of minutes before Ziggy was literally eating out of his hands and Ziggy had no problem with Josh following us upstairs and hanging out inside. I didn't doubt for a second that Josh could handle Ziggy's antics and his strength on the leash. Josh sent daily updates and pictures of Ziggy out on walks and snuggling with him on the couch. I had a friend checking in on my kitty but Josh noticed that she (the cat) had thrown up in the spare room and not only let me know about it, and kept an eye on her mood/behaviors but even took it upon himself to clean up the mess! About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.

I have several years experience in the professional pet care community; that includes 5 years in the veterinary field and 6 years as a small business owner. My side-hussle/ animal passion is dog-hiking, but I am a pet-sitting pro. **Bonus: I HAVE FARM ANIMAL EXPERIENCE!** I have multiple years of assistanting with sheep, goats, alpaca, including several years of experience in care and handling of birds such as chickens, ducks, geese and parakeets. Additionally, I am confident with reptiles (snakes, turtles, collard lizards, salamandars, aquatic frogs), hampsters, guinea pigs, bunnies and large rabbits all of which for whom I have cared. I home-school my gifted 3rd grader and work super-part time with my government job. This means I'm very flexible! I can mold my day around your furbabies schedule. **I can do doggy day care or over nights at my home for well established clients only.** I have a fully fenced, dog and child-centric acre with grass and gravel, sun and shade. I keep all gates closed or locked. With the exception of the doggy door so pups have freedom to come in from the elements or to go out for fresh air and potty breaks.

I enjoy meeting new breeds and making sure their needs are taken care of while their parents (you) are away. As dog mom of 3 loving and rambunctious breeds I can personally say your pup will feel right at home ❤️ I have five dogs of my own therefore I make sure that their needs are taken care of before mine are. With as much play time as I can give. First thing first I let the dogs out to play and go use the potty. Then I give them food if it’s time to eat. And of course we go out to play after.
About: I have trained my own dog to be a good citizen canine as well as a service animal. So I have experience teaching dogs to sit, stay, leave it lay down, as well as other commands. And hope to be able to use this training to help with your dog or puppy. Ever since I was young I've had a real affinity for animals and they're really drawn to my sweet and caring nature. I can be a bit shy at first but you won't regret giving me a chance to help your pets out. Right now my schedule's pretty open any day of the week as long as I can get to address have a driver license,I look forward to getting to know more dogs and spend time playing with them. I'm not currently working so I have as much time in the world to spend with your dog and to make sure it gets its daily exercise and other basic needs. I have unfenced yard , will always take precautions and have leash on a dog when taking it for potty breaks I do have a dog of my own he is a service dog for a living but I can always kennel his to keep your dog safe or put him in my bedroom.

I currently work part-time, so I’m available Thursday evening through Monday evening.
