“Danielle is wonderful we appreciate her commitment to excellent care for our fur baby and great communication while we are away. We will definitely continue to utilize her services!”

“Lisa was amazing with my boys!! Even my shy and timid baby came out to greet her!! She was on time and sent pics. Lisa was also flexible in accommodating my last minute plans to leave. I highly recommend Lisa!!”

“Raven was definitely the perfect fit to care for our fur kids! Our pets seemed to warm to her quickly and her caring personality and professional work ethic remained obvious throughout. Both our dogs are senior gals, and Raven was wonderful in approaching them with the extra tenderness necessary. She was also great about providing daily updates, photos, and occasional videos that really helped our comfort level while gone. I’m sure related to the additional stress caused by our absence our dogs seemed to have more “accidents” than usual, which Raven not only cleaned up readily, but she also patrolled daily for further accidents or other abnormalities in the environment…she even discovered some mischief our cats had caused and sent us photos!. We are so happy to have found Raven, her compassion and professionalism is first rate, and we will not hesitate to reach out to her in the future to care for our kids!”

“Hannah clearly has a heart for animals! I had her come over for a "meet and greet" with my pup Luna who can be very timid around new people, but Luna clearly thinks Hannah is okay! We look forward to doing some doggie day care with Hannah in the future :)”

About: I have a dog and three cats, I do school online and have a very open schedule. I grew up with animals and babysit frequently. I’ve watched rabbits to horses and everything in between. I am currently in school and have a very open schedule. I am able to come and stop by or watch overnight. I am very reliable and have my own transportation. I have fostered a wonderful environment for my pets at home. My dogs fully trained on and off leash. He has excellent recall and trust with me. My cats are all free range in the house and we have gates put in place so they can have their own space. While watching others pets I am very proactive and careful of where I bring them and watch them carefully.
“Kelsee is always such a phenomenal dog sitter! Our pups are so happy that she snuggles and plays with them during her drop in visits to our home. She is so thoughtful, thinking of the smallest details and she always sends the most fun pictures of our pups. We recently had one of our pups pass and Kelsee was so understanding of our changes in routines as the dynamics have been so different since losing a beloved and important member of our pack. We never have a worry when Kelsee is taking care of our dogs and she is the only sitter we ever want to use!”

Dogs are special friends who add a high level of joy to my heart ❤️ I say hi to all the dogs I pass on the street ☺️ I am a single parent with 50% custody and work part time so I have extra time for full time love for your dog family members ❤️ I live 2 minutes from a sweet dog walking area around a lake and I prioritize making sure the dog’s needs before leaving for the day!

I am easy going, very reliable and will follow all instructions for your pet’s care. I care for both domestic and farm animals. ❤️ I’m retired so my schedule is flexible. That makes it easier for drop in visits. When I stay over, I may need to leave for an errand but I will be at your home as expected. I respect your privacy and will care for your home like it is my own. I depend on repeat bookings so you can expect the best service!
“Kelsie was an absolute dream to work with! Kelsie did weekly drop-in visits for me for 6+ months. My very shy and nervous dog loved her and I never had any concerns for his safety or happiness when he was in her care. She is communicative, flexible, and exceptionally trustworthy. I would highly recommend Kelsie to care for your fur babies!”

About: Hello, my name is Virginia, I go by Gin. I am a dog momma to a 5 year old Great Dane. She is pretty much my whole world. I volunteered at the Willamette Valley Humane Society for nearly 3 years walking dogs, reading to dogs, comforting, feeding and cleaning up after so many precious dogs. Volunteer work takes a toll emotionally as some of you might know. I love animals in general but I just have a very special place in my heart for dogs. I am available anytime for dog walks or drop in visits to feed and water. I also can provide some play time on site if you have a fenced yard. My dog is well behaved and knows most commands. She loves to snuggle and be close to her humans. I treat her very much like I would a human.
About: I was an animal lover from the start, from dogs and cats, to goats, pigs and parrots, I was raised with them all. I particularly enjoy training dogs and making sure they get a balance of play, stimulation exercise, and lots of love. I’m very consistent and communicative and I send updates, videos and pictures through your animals stay. Rest assured your babies are in loving hands with me! I am fortunate to work from home, this leaves me available most of the week and weekends to play, walk, and snuggle, with your critter. I care for your fur baby as if they were my own so I like to do the things that have your pet be most comfortable in my home. I have had dogs who are crate trained, I’ve had others who sleep with me on my bed, and others prefer to roam and find a spot of their own. My home is their home. I have a fenced yard with grass to run, sniff and of course potty, as well as some toys for playtime. I walk daily and love a pup to keep me company! I also enjoy training dogs on leash or off (inside) in support of the pet parent. If that is not your thing or your pup is older and just needs a safe quiet place to be while you are gone, I adore all the snuggles, chill time and sleepy heads too. You know your baby best so feel free to communicate yours and their needs, I’m happy to oblige 🙏🏽
“Nicole was the first person we've had watch our dog, and wow did we pick the right person. Not only were there no issues with her checking in when scheduled, she went above and beyond to play with, take care of, and love on our dog. She is a genuine animal lover so if you want your pet not only well taken care of, but also loved while you're away, I can't recommend Nicole enough! Nicole also sent updates daily as requested along with lots of great photos and even a few videos! For my wife and I, these were wonderful and really put us at ease about the well-being of our dog while we were gone.”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life, along with horses, chickens and goats. they are always treated like a part of the family and that's what is in store for your furry babies as well while in my care, I don't mind watching for the day or doing over nights. I plan to spend most of our day outside playing unless it's raining then of course potty breaks and drying, playing inside and cuddling on the couch.while I watch them I will brush them and for those shedders out there I will brush until I dont get any more hair hopefully minimizing in home shedding for you. because our pets are like family I don't mind giving text updates on how they are doing during the time that they are in my care. Please message me anytime I would love to watch your furry family member.I am also comfortable watching non house pets,I have horses and chickens and I've had goats,so if you have a farm that needs looking after,I'm your gale it's been a while since i've watched goats and cows so if they need milking I would need a refresher and if by some chance you have a less common pet like a alpaca or other I'm willing to be shown the ropes and will love to care for them,I really want to learn farm care, because having one of my own is something I've been interested in forever. December 18th I am going to become a stay at home mom. This means my son and I can watch your fur babies. any time day or night, with small amounts of time that I'm gone if during the school week to drop off and pick up my son. I won't be boarding just home sitting,I will treat your pet like my own safety and comfort for them along with lots of loves and attention.
“Nathan is a truly special Rover; if you are considering extra help for your furry companion please do not hesitate! He has trained service dogs - he will be humble about this and say he is not a trainer, but regardless he clearly understands dog behavior unusually well. He has a wonderful way of just looking at my high-octane rescue pup Cappy that tells him to sit, and he recommended a collar that has been really helpful for Cappy's walks. He also showed up to walk Cappy on a day he was not pre-booked (or paid!) due to a misunderstanding, and gave him a great walk anyway. He always checks Cappy's water bowl, and his paw since he injured a claw, and I really appreciate his advice (this rescue has been a lot to handle, and I've had a lot to learn). I wanted to leave a second review for Nathan since I meant to say more the first time, and since I have had a few months working with Nathan since my first review; we were so lucky to have found him!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Walker. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
