About: I grew up with cats and dogs in my house and I had pet frogs! I previously was a pet sitter for dogs, cats, and sometimes other critters. Afternoon/evening/overnights during the week, or weekends work best for me as I do work. My job is flexible with me being in and out of the office, so with a day notice I could potentially do mornings and mid days. I am very open to respecting what the pet owner ask of me. I will happily send cute pictures throughout the visit! I am comfortable asking clarifying questions.

About: Hi! I’m Rachelle, thank you for checking out my profile. I’ve been dog sitting, walking, and boarding for a few years now. I enjoy meeting new breeds and making sure their needs are taken care of while their parents (you) are away. As dog mom of 3 loving and rambunctious breeds I can personally say your pup will feel right at home ❤️ I have five dogs of my own therefore I make sure that their needs are taken care of before mine are. With as much play time as I can give. First thing first I let the dogs out to play and go use the potty. Then I give them food if it’s time to eat. And of course we go out to play after.

About: HAPPY TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR SPECIFIC PET NEEDS. I am a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. I've probably already met your dogs, cats or chickens or peacocks on my shift. I have several years experience in the professional pet care community; that includes 5 years in the veterinary field and 6 years as a small business owner. My side-hussle/ animal passion is dog-hiking, but I am a pet-sitting pro. **Bonus: I HAVE FARM ANIMAL EXPERIENCE!** I have multiple years of assistanting with sheep, goats, alpaca, including several years of experience in care and handling of birds such as chickens, ducks, geese and parakeets. Additionally, I am confident with reptiles (snakes, turtles, collard lizards, salamandars, aquatic frogs), hampsters, guinea pigs, bunnies and large rabbits all of which for whom I have cared. I have raised fish in both tanks and ponds. Other services I provide include Drop-In Visits, Nail Trims, Administration of Medications and House Sitting. I am trained and skilled in recognizing abnormal behaviors and I am quick to act when care is necessary. *As of 2026 I am not currently up-to-date in animal CPR, but have previously completed this course for cats and dogs through a licensed veterinarian in Lake Oswego, Oregon and have real life experience using this life saving technique. PLEASE NOTE IN ADVANCE if your fluff baby does not yet handle children. I am a homeschooling mom and my Mini-Me is often with me on my visits. I currently have 3 dogs, 7 fish, a collared lizard, and a human child (and a husband lol). My rate varies and I accommodate sliding-scale needs. About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.

About: I worked as a veterinary technician for over 4 years and have lived with and cared for dogs my whole life. This means if your dog needs special medical home treatment (pills, SQ fluids, insulin injections, etc.) I am comfortable administering these, but I would most likely charge more for special needs pets. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for almost 20 years, but took a break while abroad in the Peace Corps. I have a masters degree in environmental science, and work from home in environmental communication. I love pets and will treat your dog or cat like my own. In my pet sitting career, I have also cared for every type of animal, from hand fed fish to chickens to fat tailed geckos, so if you have more than just dogs and cats, I'm glad to take care of the whole menagerie! I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I work from home and take my own doggo out a bunch! He has episodes of back pain and when he does, we don't walk as much, but when he's feeling good, we walk about 2 miles a day. I'd LOVE for your dog to join us! I have a fenced yard and a super friendly pup of my own that will love to play with yours. I will treat your dog like my own, give them tons of cuddles and reach out to you if anything goes wrong while they're staying with me to make sure I'm caring for them like you would!

About: Hi pups and their humans! I'm Kiana — a Registered Nurse with a big heart for animals and a lifetime of experience with dogs. I share my home with my sweet pup, Penny, who gets along great with every dog she meets. When your pup stays with me, they'll get plenty of walks, belly rubs, playtime, and potty breaks every couple of hours. I'll send regular photo updates so you're never out of the loop. I prioritize staying home during pet-sitting periods so your dog always has company and comfort. My house is spacious, pet-friendly, and close to a dog park — perfect for exercise and fresh air. I'm happy to offer virtual or in-person meet-and-greets beforehand to make sure we're a great fit. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family member! Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I only work three nights a week, so I'm home with your pup most of the time. And on the nights I do work, my partner is home to step in and make sure your pup gets the best care possible. I care for pets in my apartment by making sure all safety hazards are nonexistent. I am home all day so I can ensure your pup gets frequent restroom breaks.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 811 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Veatch. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Veatch. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Veatch.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Veatch. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
