“Took good care of our kitties while we were away, plus kindly did a few misc tasks around the house like bringing in a package from the porch. Appreciated her time and would book again.”

“Skyla is our person!! We’ve booked dozens of drop in visits this past year for our special needs kitties and she is just the best. So caring, reliable, responsive, reassuring, flexible (when we’ve had some glitches like stuck over night at the airport), and extremely trustworthy. Her pics are always so cute and the reports crack me up. Blaze and Flash absolutely adore her. We just appreciate you so much, Skyla!!”

About: I've been housesitting and petsitting since 2009! I have experience primarily with cats and dogs, and I also have extensive plant and yard care experience for those extended vacations! I would love to take care of your pets and home during your much-needed vacation. I'm also comfortable caring for your furless babies, too, including birds, fish, and reptiles! I currently work part-time and attend school online at OSU part-time, so my flexible schedule will fit perfectly with you and your pet's needs! I am primarily available in afternoons and on weekends. I frequently split my time between Eugene and Corvallis. Your home is you and your pets' haven! I aim to take care of every home and all pets with the same attentive care I would give my own. Safety, cleanliness, and respect are my top priorities! For housesitting requests, please be clear about your expectations for how much/little time you would like for me to spend at your home during the day, potty break routines, sleeping arrangements, etc. I love getting as much information as possible so I can do my absolute best caring for your pets and home!
“Nicole did great! She helped us out by being available last minute - after our original pet care fell through. Tim (our yellow lab) really seemed to love and have fun with her :) She was great at communicating and reaching out when she had questions. I loved all the pictures she sent. Would book again!”

“Hayden has been great with our elderly dog. Good communication and flexible as we have a unique scheduling situation. She is very patient as our dog is just getting used to a new person in his life. This is our first time using Rover and she has also been great at helping us navigate the app for our situation.”

“Mia was wonderful with our cat and very responsive and always sent a bunch of pictures to us!! It was so sweet she even found out our cats little quirks such as his favorite thing of having a human scratch his scratching post with him haha. She also provided him with his oral steroids throughout. Would recommend Mia to anyone!”

About: I've had pets since I was born. Cats and dogs of all shapes, sizes, and age. I've spent the last 14 years with my soul dog. He was a Golden/Lab/St. Bernard with a lot of anxiety and a huge love of food. In his old age he had mobility problems, incontinence, was on several medications, and needed as much attention as I could give him. I am fully prepared to give any animal I meet the same level of love and care. I've been the main care provider for my dogs for the last 14 years and always put their needs before mine. Taking them potty is the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night. Furry friends rely on us for care and I want to make sure they are doing great. When I care for pets in your home I will follow your instructions to a T. Make sure they get lots of love, cuddles (if they like them), and attention.
“Joshua was fantastic. Texted me updates throughout and even sent photos. It’s really nice to have someone who obviously loves animals as much as I do watching over my babies.”

“Caralisa did a great job with my senior kitties while we were away, which included giving meds and keeping up with our Litter Robot! She should get a 10/10 for responsiveness and communication, and went out of her way to get to our meet-and-greet after she was traveling all day. Would definitely recommend for your pets.”

“I was initially very concerned about leaving my dogs for a few days however Sarah was wonderful. She was great with my dogs and took great care of them. I will definitely use Rover again.”

“Justine is amazing! She is very sweet, accommodating, and trustworthy. We were a little worried about finding someone who would be a good fit, since one of our cats is not very friendly, but she reassured us and put our minds at ease. It was so nice not to worry about the cats while we were out of town. We got great updates and adorable photos. We will definitely be rebooking with Justine.”

“Stone was an absolutely incredible pet sitter. We received consistent communication, photos, and quality updates at every visit while we were away. Stone was attentive with our pet and provided an excellent experience for our first time using a professional sitter! Thank you Stone 😊”

“I needed someone to watch my dog while she recovered from an injury and Natasha was a great help. She made sure Melon was leaving her stitches alone while giving her lots of love and attention. I would recommend Natasha to anyone who needs pet care and will definitely ask for her help if we need it again.”

“Emily was great, highly responsive and always went above and beyond. She was very flexible and was able to accommodate requests for additional visits. She ensured my two fur babies were well loved and played with the entire time I was gone.”

“Amy did an excellent job with our cats, and was very communicative when issues arose. Our cats were happy and well cared for, and I would happily recommend her to anyone!”

“Julie did great! Max loved the walks and the ball tosses. Sasha is 16 and has trouble walking, taking her medicine and sometimes has accidents and Julie took good care of her, took her for short walks, got her to take her pills most of the time.”

“As always, Abbigail is a wonderful sitter for my pet and I feel very at ease knowing that my cat is well cared for. She keeps me updated with texts and pictures and is always on time for her visits.”

I seriously couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter. Kezia is so reliable. She always provides a detailed account and lots of photos to make me feel like I’m at home with my kitties. We had an ant invasion and she made sure to clean it up and put out a trap to prevent further ants from coming in. I am so thankful for her!

Just had Maya for two weeks worth of drop-ins on my kitties while I was gone for a work training, and she was amazing!! I just got home and was so happy to see my boys happy with clean litter, food, and water upon my return. She sends great check-ins with lots of pictures and it’s obvious she dedicates quality time to your pets. She played with my boys and gave treats on every visit. I like to peek in on the cats via my cameras when I’m gone and they disconnected one day due to a WiFi outage, and she even came over an extra day to reset my WiFi so I could see them. On top of that, she is so polite, responsive, and easy to work with. Highly recommend her!

Alexis did a beautiful job caring for our cats Chloe and Oatis, even while feeling under the weather. She sent a bunch of pictures and gave our lovey girl tons of pets and play. She even managed to snag a photo of our boy hiding under the office bed (lol). Left the place tidy with fresh water/food and clean boxes daily. Thank you so much! Would definitely seek your services again.

Karina is the best! She is thorough, conscientious, caring and truly gives her whole self to connecting with our cat. I feel absolutely secure knowing she is there while we are away. Her messages about her time with our cat helped us feel very close while away. I can not recommend karina highly enough!

Hayden has been an amazing cat sitter while I’ve been traveling. She goes above and beyond to make sure my cat is well cared for and comfortable. When my automatic feeding system malfunctioned, she quickly figured out the problem and got it working again, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. She always keeps the litter box clean, makes sure my cat has fresh water, and spends quality time with him during her visits. It’s obvious that she genuinely cares about animals, and I know my cat appreciates all the love and attention she gives him. I always feel confident leaving my cat in Hayden’s care and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and compassionate pet sitter.

Siobhan did a great job looking after our shy kitties while we were away. She was professional and friendly, prompt to reply to our request, and everything looked great when we returned. We recommend Siobhan as a cat sitter, and would be happy to have her take care of the cats again.

Rosa did a wonderful job again! She has been gaining the trust of my not so trusting cat and is very respectful of her boundaries. My cat now runs up to greet Rosa and allows pets. My elderly mother who lives in the house is also very fond of Rosa and feels very comfortable having her here. Rosa sends pictures and videos during her visits which helps me feel confident that my cat is being well taken care of. I would definitely continue to book with her and encourage others to do so. She is a very kind and thoughtful caregiver.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
