About: I am an experienced pet sitter and a true animal lover :) I have provided caring and compassionate pet care for the cats and dogs of my friends, family members and neighbors for several years. About: I helped raise our family dog, a golden doodle for his 10 years so far with us. We also just brought in a stray puppy in January, so I am familiar with the puppy stage. He was probably 3 months when we got him and he’s now a year old at least. I am currently free all day everyday during the summer. About: I've owned, loved, and been around animals my whole life - dogs, cats, and miscellaneous farm animals. Growing up in the country and having animal based chores from a young age helped me develop a love for animals, tolerance and patience, and the capability to care for a variety of animals in a variety of settings and environments. Depending on what you request, as long as it's within reason, I am open to catering to your wishes and will do what you ask of me to keep you and your pet happy! :) ie. although I marked "allowed on beds/furniture", I understand this is not for everyone. I personally love having animals near me but also understand the importance of not allowing in my home, what is not allowed in your home. Also, I have access to my family's property out in the country where I can take your dog on hikes away from the public, run freely in large fields that are fenced in at the property line, and explore the great outdoors with them for an even more special experience while you're away! Experience (in general): listed 28 years as I've closely helped family members since ~at least~ 8 yrs of age. My sitting history mostly includes requests to house/dog sit for friends and family members over the years (both in their home or in mine). The "official" dog sitting experience is less, as this is my first time creating a professional sitting profile and I am excited to start work with people outside of my circle! :) I only marked the days I am off work completely as my available dates. These are the days in which I can provide the best/full attention care. If while in the country on family property, as long as we both feel comfortable with it and your dog's behavior, leash wearing is whatever you prefer. I will of course put them back on if I feel the need to. Although I'm easy going, I'm also a reliable and responsible person with common sense and enough experience with my own animals to properly care for your pet. I will always do what's needed in any situation to protect your pet and keep them safe. After knowing an animal longer and understanding their behavior/tendencies, sure, I can ease up some - but will always take more precautions at first while I am still getting to know them. And again, in any case, it's whatever you are comfortable with and would like. Details can be discussed and figured out along the way. For example, if your animal gets uncomfortable in unknown places - I am more than happy to come to you and care for them in your home! If they need this medicine at this time, you've got it! If they do better when you take them for a 45 min walk and then snuggle them for an hour, sure! If you need them to eat these specific things, at these specific times, and anything else you may need - just chat it out. I'm sure we can work the details out - and if not, I'll just say no and ask that you find another sitter who may suit you and your needs better. We'll figure it out.

Ky was wonderful with our dog and cat and clearly built a genuine bond with both of them over the course of our trip. We were especially nervous about finding someone new for our dog because she can be territorial and reactive with new people, but Ky handled her confidently and quickly learned how to redirect her energy. By the end of the week, our dog was cuddling with her, waiting by the door for her, and clearly very comfortable around her. Ky was also very respectful of our extremely shy cat and let her warm up at her own pace. By the end of the stay, our cat was actually coming out while Ky was there, which says a lot. Communication was a major strength. We received very detailed updates and lots of photos throughout the week, and Ky regularly spent extra time playing with our dog, giving her attention, and making sure both pets were cared for. Overall our pets were happy and clearly very comfortable with Ky. We really appreciated the care and attention she gave them.
Rosa is a wonderful cat sitter! She’s really taken the time to understand my cat, her personality, emotional cues, and boundaries. My cat generally hides from strangers but now comes running to Rosa for pets when she comes over. Rosa has also been very accommodating and will continue to be my first choice for future bookings. Joshua is the best. My dog can be super protective but the two of them clicked immediately, feeding off Joshua's energy and dog-expertise. My kitty is nervous in her own ways but I always coming back knowing that she felt safe with his presence as well. I can't recommend Joshua enough, he has been such a savior when I have to be away from my two favorite critters and gives me peace of mind with updates and reassurances that he can handle whatever my goobers throw his way.
