“Kristen and her husband took amazing care of my 1.5 year old Wheaten while I traveled this past weekend. Every pic I got was of Georgia playing happily with Kristen's dog and others - she was so happy! Kristen put me at ease and stayed in contact daily, I'm so happy I found her!”
“Anika was awesome! She sent us so many pictures of our Boone having a great time. Lots of active fun, we will definitely be using Anika again! Boone loved her.”

“I had a great experience with our dog sitter! He were reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of our dog while I was away. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. My dog came home happy and well cared for. I would definitely book with him again and highly recommend him to other pet parents!”

“Luna stayed with Hope for the week. She was treated like family the entire time she was there. Able to cuddle up with the blankets on the couch, running around in a fenced in yard, and all the kisses she could get. I will definitely be using Hope's services again in the near future.”

About: Dogs have had a special place in my heart ever since my own was rescued on Valentine’s Day after being found tied to a tree. Watching her adjust, gain confidence, and become part of our family made me appreciate how different every dog is. Since then, I’ve loved getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Whether your dog is staying with me, I’m coming to your home, taking them on a walk, or simply stopping by for a check-in, I’ll follow their routine and give them the attention they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated with pictures and messages so you always know how they’re doing. My goal is for both you and your dog to feel at ease while you’re apart. I’m currently on summer break, so my schedule is very open. During the semester, I’m typically available for boarding after 5:00 PM on weekdays and as early as needed on weekends. If you have a specific time or date in mind, just reach out. I’m always happy to communicate and find a schedule that works for both of us. I provide attentive, consistent care tailored to each pet’s needs and the owner’s instructions. In my home, I maintain a calm and safe environment with regular walks, feeding schedules, and supervised activity. Since I live in an apartment, daily walks are a key part of the routine, and nearby Phoenix Park is where we usually go for exercise and stimulation. I make sure pets get the opportunity to stay active, explore, and release energy in a healthy way. If a dog is social, they may interact with other dogs, but if they are shy or the owner prefers one-on-one time, I always adjust accordingly. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walking, medication, and routines exactly as directed. I respect the home, keep things clean and organized, and prioritize the pet’s comfort, safety, and normal routine so they feel secure while their owner is away.
“Rachel was so wonderful with my boys. She was kind enough to accept a last minute booking and was so flexible. They seemed to settle down and get comfortable very soon. They got a lot of outdoor time, and I got a bunch of photo updates. I would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone needing a stay for their pups.”

“My 4 month old yorkie came back happy, fed, walked, and ready for a nap! We were visiting from Washington, D.C. and was in a crunch for a dogsitter once my boyfriend surprised me with concert tickets for the next day. I quickly logged onto dogvacay and came across Danielle who is accompanied by her 8year old yorkie Valentino; she quickly responded and confirmed our reservation. Danielle has a great spirit and being a dog owner of a yorkie herself a true love for dogs! She sent many pics and text throughout the overnight stay which made me have a worry free evening! A plus was her flexibility with time... We will be revisiting her and Valentino.”

“Hayley was amazing and really accommodating, she did a meet & greet with us, was open to get my pup a little earlier to adjust to our flight times and she was able to put eyedrops in for a small eye infection that our pup got before our trip. We got lots of pics and our dog had lots of walks. Thank you!!”

“Patrick and his pup took amazing care of my little dog. She misses them! Patrick is a very organized and thoughtful sitter who takes great update photos. I knew she was receiving great care the whole time. Will definitely book him again!”

“Mark has an incredibly gentle spirit and way about him. He was super communicative during the entire process. He sent us daily pictures of our dog and she looked incredibly happy. Will definitely use his services again!”

“This is my second time booking with KeryKay and she has been amazing both times. She was able to take my dog Cookie last minute with no issues, which I really appreciated. She sends daily pictures and updates, so I always know how Cookie is doing and feeling, and that peace of mind means everything. Cookie is always well cared for and comfortable when she’s with KeryKay. I’ll definitely continue booking with her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! She’s AMAZING!”

“Leigh and her husband are absolutely amazing. I knew Keets was in great hands and she looked right at home in all of her pictures on walks and snuggling. 10 out of 10 would recommend!”

“Daisy was incredible! This is my first time looking with Rover so I was a little bit stressed but from the jump she made me feel comfortable – and was extremely communicative the entire time as well as flexible with my schedule. She provided lots of daily pictures and updates. Love her so much we’ve already booked our next day with her!”

“I'm SO glad I found Misty! She sent pictures every day and really made Daisy a part of their family while she was there! Daisy can sometimes get weird with other dogs, but she and Misty's dog Kiya were best friends immediately. I will always use Misty when she is available from now on. Thanks so much, Misty!!”

“Chasity was great! She kept me updated with my dog throughout the day and was flexible with my pick-up time the following day. Indigo enjoyed her time and we would definitely book again!”

Hayley is the BEST. She provided a wonderful 2 week boarding stay at her home for my dog Briggs. She lives in a very dog friendly community/neighborhood, and Briggs absolutely loved spending time with her and her sweet pup! She is extremely responsive and proactive about communication/providing updates. I had so much peace of mind boarding Briggs with Hayley. She gave him the same kind of love and attention that he normally gets from me, and he was so comfortable with her. Highly recommend!!!

Patrick was fantastic with our two senior dogs, Finn (12) and Pip (8), during their 5-day stay at his place. From the very first conversation, you could tell he's an experienced dog sitter — he asked all the right questions about their routines, needs, and quirks before we even dropped them off. He reliably gave Finn his daily medication without any issues, which was a huge relief for us, and he sent regular photo updates throughout the stay so we never had to wonder how they were doing. His communication was excellent from start to finish. Most importantly, our dogs came home happy and relaxed. It's not always easy leaving older dogs with someone new, but Patrick made it completely stress-free. We'd book with him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive sitter!

I can’t say enough great things about our experience with Anna! Max was so well cared for and felt completely at home during his stay. One of the biggest surprises was that he was comfortable enough to snuggle with her cat, which is something he normally never does. That alone showed me how relaxed, safe, and happy he felt in her home. She was incredibly communicative throughout his stay and sent plenty of photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind and let us know exactly how Max was doing. She truly treated him like family. We will absolutely be using her for all of our future travel needs whenever Max isn’t coming along. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jennifer and Nicholas were absolutely amazing with Dolly! From the moment I dropped her off, they made me feel completely at ease. They were fantastic communicators and sent me so many pictures and updates throughout her stay, which meant so much to me. It was clear they genuinely cared about making sure Dolly had the best time. They had a little pool set up for her to splash around in, a huge backyard where she could run and play, and they were incredibly thoughtful about slowly introducing her to the other dogs they were watching so she felt comfortable and safe. When I picked her up, they even surprised us with a little treat bag to take home, which was such a sweet touch! Dolly came home happy, tired, and clearly well loved. I couldn't recommend Jennifer and Nicholas more. If you're looking for sitters who truly treat your dog like family, they're the ones to book. We'll definitely be back!

Tyler was fantastic! Fendi is a chihuahua-mix with the personality to match, but I was shocked as several times during the week Tyler sent phots of personal interactions that Fendi doesn't often allow. Fendi was in aa good mood when she got home, so she must've been well-fed and taken care of. I would happily use Tyler again if needed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
