“Jada was great. My pup Bandit was happy and healthy when I picked him up. Jada sent regular updates while I was away to six days. I will definitely be asking her to sit again”

“Ayelet did a great job dog sitting for us for a week long vacation. We received regular updates, videos, and we knew our pup was in good hands while we were away - she had great attention to detail regarding our dogs feeding and rituals. Her dog, Luke, was a great companion and shares his space generously!”

“I can’t thank Shea and Brandon enough for taking care of Ivie when I was out of town. I think Ivie had such a good time that she is not that thrilled to be home with me 🤣. If the need arises I would definitely not hesitate to use them again!”

“She was excellent. Very attentive to both dogs and understood their personalities so quickly which is a plus. My senior dog is in charge and an old angry man sometimes and other times he's chill. She understood that right away. My other dog is playful and loves pets and she picked that up right away as well. I have never picked my dogs up before and they were so calm. They really liked her and I will be using her again in the future.”

“Kim is the BEST OF THE BEST! At this point, I have to add her to my will as Polo’s next of Kin 🤣. I recently had an intense work travel season, and Kim didn’t hesitate to lean in and look after Polo. She is overly communicative (in the best way) to ensure that I feel comfortable, especially since this was the longest I’ve been away from my dog. I’m so grateful for her services and would 10/10 always recommend. Thanks again, Kim for everything!”

“Lauren took such great care of our sweet boy. This was his first time staying over night with a sitter. She ensured he was comfortable and engaged during our time away. Will definitely be working Lauren again!”

“Bones had a wonderful time! I can tell that he got lots of attention and play because he’s very high energy but has been super relaxed since I picked him up. Isabella was great with communication and sent me lots of photo updates while I was away. I would highly recommend her, and I know Bones would love to stay with her again in the future.”

“Chris was a great sitter for my Ruby girl. She is a GSP with a ton of energy to expend. He offered lots of daily exercise for her. She quickly made herself right at home. Lots of fun photos and videos, showing she was having the best time and getting all her energy out. She came home happy and healthy”

“Kelsey was very friendly and professional. Provided tons of great updates and photos of our Dog Rapunzel while we were away. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a safe and fun place to leave their pet.”

“Because of my severe cat allergies, we had to temporarily leave our cats, Waffle and Ellie with Dianicia and I’m so thankful we found her. She was incredibly kind and understanding, kept us updated, and treated them like her own. It gave me so much peace of mind during a stressful time. Highly recommend!”

“Thanks for take such good care of my furbaby. Krystale was great and gave me daily update on Kobe. She was very informative of Kobes day and when we picked up he was happy. Thanks Kystale”

“Sydnie was awesome for our dog, Louise! Very responsive, personable, and kind. I think Louise was actually a little depressed when she got home because of all the love and attention she'd been getting from Sydnie. A lovely experience!”

“Meredith was just great We left her with our 2 little dogs and were very comfortable with her care of them Our senior boy has a lot of demands and we could tell Meredith took excellent care of him We liked receiving daily updates and will definitely book with her again”

Joselyn was amazing! You can really tell she enjoys being around dogs and caring for them. Don’t be scared off by the low rating previously. I was in a pinch and needed a sitter and I’m glad I gave her a chance. She told me that was because of a miscommunication from the customer end about timings which I don’t think was her fault and she has been penalized for ever since because of it being an early review. She was one of the most communicative sitters I’ve had. Constantly keeping me in the loop and updating me. . I’m glad I believed her because my dog came back smiling, happy, and she kept us updated with lots of pictures along the way. I will definitely be leaving my pup with her again!

Our dog Lyra had another amazing stay with Elisabeth! Our dog stayed for about 1.5 weeks and had a wonderful time cuddling, playing, and going for walks. Elisabeth is very capable and attentive to detail - I trust her entirely with the care of our girl, who can be a bit anxious. Elisabeth administered meds, ran out to the store when they ran out of food, and sent us lots of updates and photos. Elisabeth and her husband are basically our dog's other parents now. :D We will be working with her again next time we need a sitter!

This was my first time using Jaquana and she was very sweet and caring for my pup during his stay. She meet me the week of for a meet and greet and I was very appreciate of that. Her communication was thorough and she also sent updated pictures during the stay. Remi and enjoyed his stay and I couldn’t recommend her enough.

Colleen was wonderful!! We had a different sitter cancel last minute but it worked out because Colleen was perfect to care for our pup. From our first interaction, we could tell how much she cares for her own pup and the dogs in her care. We were super comfortable leaving our pup with her, knowing he would be in great hands! She provided updates and he was having a great time. He came home exhausted and is fast asleep now! She created the perfect doggie vacation for him while we were away. Would definitely have Raptor stay with her again :)

Josh was an incredible long stay sitter for our dog Remy. He sent multiple videos and photos everyday and we were so excited to see what Remy was up to each day. He felt incredibly well cared for and was clearly happy throughout his stay. We will definitely rebook with Josh the next time we go out of town!

The meet and greet gave us peace of mind that our dogs would be happy while we were gone. Lauren took wonderful care of them! They aren’t usually happy with strangers but they warmed up to her immediately! She was accommodating of our schedule and the daily photos/videos/updates made it easier being away from them.

Erica was absolutely wonderful with my two girls. From all the pictures and videos she sent, it truly looked like they were on their own little vacation! They were happy, relaxed, and clearly very loved while in her care. The updates gave me so much comfort and reassurance while I was away. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Erica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter. She took amazing care of my girls! 🐾💕

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
