I love animals! I signed up to host your fur baby because I miss loving on fur babies! After having fur babies and fosters for over 15 years, I am on a hiatus from adopting a new dog for the next year. So, I want to host your fur baby to get get our dog and cat snuggles in. I am a PhD scientist —so I’m out of the house during the work day. I live in a two-story townhouse on a cul de sac in City of Decatur. We have a gate from my neighborhood to the dog park if your snuggle bunny likes the park. At my house pets are allowed everywhere. On the furniture, in the kitchen, and especially on our laps! Of course, we will always first follow any rules you have about preferences for your bébé. We don’t have any pets so your bébé would be the center of attention! My kiddos are big now so there are no young children in the house. I look forward to having your furry friend to love on! As I would want for my human children, I am happy to accommodate any requests your fur-child needs. Extra long walks, dog park time, medicine administration, crate or no crate; when your fur-baby Is in my home I will follow any routine you have to make things as consistent as possible. I will also update you with photos if you like! I’m also happy to offer a free bath while your doggo is here with professional, sensitive skin products.

This was my first time using Rover and I am so thankful I chose Jessica. She took such great care of my kiddo and was so helpful and understanding. I would recommend anyone who wants their pet to be well loved to have Jessica as their sitter.

Jessica likes to interact with cats and provides them an environment where they try to thrive. She is a loving person. However, she needs to improve her communication skills. While on vacation, it took her 5 days fo respond back to me after I involved Rover and a friend. I got extremely worried about my cats. She tried to give a daily update afterwards. Although it was elaborate, she then defaulted again on the last three days although I requested daily updates about their food, litter and behavior.
Jessica was great! I have a new puppy and didn't want to leave her home alone, but was also nervous about using the service. Jessica made me feel really comfortable and sent me updates throughout the day which was awesome! She was also very flexible with pick-up and drop-off times. Overall it was a great experience!
So grateful for Jessica. She was able to keep Grace on short notice and was extremely flexible with pick up and drop off times. She was home all day with Grace who seemed to have a great day.

Schedule
I am very, very fortunate to live in a walkable neighborhood and would love company on my walks! I’m always shoot to have a fur baby as the reason to adjust any of my schedule.

A typical day
We base activities on each fur baby. For social doggies, we live adjacent to the Decatur dog park. For more shy ones we have a great trail that shaded and usually fairly empty!

- Ahhh one strange GPS thing. Our neighborhood has a gate at the back of the property to keep people from cutting through the neighborhood. Almost all GPS services send people to the back gate! The secret: I’d you put in the Mary Gay House as your destination it will take you the entrance of our neighborhood and then you can follow the directions to the house :)
