“She is the best. My dog loves her and Bentley(her dog). I’ve been using her for over a year now and absolutely love her. Thank you for caring for my dog. I truly appreciate you.”

About: My senior dog passed away after we shared 18 wonderful years together. I know how much your family members mean to you. I will ensure my time with them will be fun and show care and love as if they were my own. I'm retired and have plenty of time on my hands. One reason for pursuing this opportunity is to get more involved and out of the house. I currently have only my little Percy - he's strictly an indoor cat with his routine - early am feedings and lots of sleep during the day. I love to walk and enjoy having a pal to share the time outside. I do miss my dog, our daily walks are where I hold very fond memories. She loved to bring sticks home and place them in the yard. I have always enjoyed my experience with pet sitters that I've hired. Each person understood how important it is to follow instructions and established routines. I would ensure I have complete understanding of each request and treat your pet as if they were mine.
“Peggy is wonderful! My high-energy cockapoo received plenty of love and attention while in her care. My dog loved running and playing with her terrier Sparky in her nice back yard. I also loved the check-in photos while away. I’ll definitely use her again.”

“Luis and Sarah are tremendous! We are so lucky to have found them to care for our dog when we are out of town. They do a great job of communicating and just love on our sweet pup. We can’t thank them enough”

“Javier and Cristina took great care of Stella, our 75 lb deaf pit bull! They have a nice large fenced in back yard that she enjoyed. She got along great with their dog. She stayed a week with them and we highly recommend them !!”

“Jada was great. My pup Bandit was happy and healthy when I picked him up. Jada sent regular updates while I was away to six days. I will definitely be asking her to sit again”

“Loved having Colleen take care of our dog for the weekend. Our dog is a true COVID puppy and is not use to being left alone for very long, and we typically have family watch him when we travel. This was our first time using Rover and Colleen truly exceeded our expectations. Our dog was very comfortable with her and her dog. We will definitely be using Colleen for future Rover stays and highly recommend her for your dogs!”

“Julie was absolutely amazing! This was our first time having someone watch our dog that wasn’t family and Julie from the start made us feel so safe and stress free in our decision. We 100% would book again! Our dog is older and has Cushing’s disease which makes her more high maintenance than some and Julie went above and beyond in ensuring all her needs were met. She’s phenomenal in providing picture and videos with daily recaps throughout our dogs stay. Hazel truly was living her best life while we were gone :) thanks so much Julie!!”

“Cocoa had a great time with Meredith. Thanks for taking Good care of our puppy. We will definitely work with Meredith the next time we need pet care. Thanks!”

“Chris took excellent care of my dog, Circe. He was very attentive and patient, and I could tell that she was happy and comfortable during her stay. He regularly took the dogs out to a large park, which Circe really enjoyed and benefited from a lot. Circe got along very well with Chris’s two dogs, and it was clear that they interacted in a calm and positive way. Chris also sent frequent photo updates, which made me feel very reassured while I was away. It was obvious that he truly cares about the dogs he looks after. I felt completely comfortable leaving Circe with him and would absolutely book with Chris again. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Dog was happy and exhausted when we picked him up. A good sign he was well taken care of and got plenty of play/outdoor time. She has a nice back yard and her dog makes for a nice playmate. Very good sitter.”

“Thank you so much, Lauren! Our two dogs (both pit mixes and 60+ lbs) loved their stay. Our baby (3 yr old) wouldn't eat at first and Lauren tried multiple bowls and got her to do so :) They got all the snuggles, all the play, all the good times. Loved the pics, video, and updates! Will definitely be having them stay with Lauren again.”

“Leeandra has a very nice and clean home and was wonderful to Augie. He came home happy and healthy and even smelled good. She sent us great pictures that looked professional enough to have printed. Will use again.”

“Mark was a great sitter for my dog... he was an excellent communicator; sending me photos twice a day. He was very flexible with the pick-up and drop-off arrangements due to last minute changes. Would hire his services again!”
“Josh was incredible with watching my dog and sending plenty of pictures and videos of him having fun his entire stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to watch your pet.”

“Chimere did an amazing job watching our pup! She sent lots of messages and pictures and my dog looked so happy. I have an older dog and felt like she was in great hands. Will definitely book again!”

Clarissa was HEAVEN Sent! She came through after another Sitter, didn’t show up. She was very responsive and sent many photos while I was gone. Made me feel extremely comfortable leaving my cat Benz w/her. I would definitely recommend her & will book w/her again. Thank you so much again Clarissa :)

Erica was wonderful. Our cats were cuddled with and played with. She got litter for us because our persnickety cat is particular about scent. And she was very patient when one of our cats, who was ikely anxious about being elsewhere threw up a lot. Erica was also very communicative, so we knew the animals were very well cared for.

Rocco always has a wonderful time with Sarah! She is so sweet with him and keeps us updated with pictures of his adventures; she is also flexible and understanding, which we really appreciate. We trust her completely and Rocco is looking forward to his next stay with her!

Joselyn was amazing! You can really tell she enjoys being around dogs and caring for them. Don’t be scared off by the low rating previously. I was in a pinch and needed a sitter and I’m glad I gave her a chance. She told me that was because of a miscommunication from the customer end about timings which I don’t think was her fault and she has been penalized for ever since because of it being an early review. She was one of the most communicative sitters I’ve had. Constantly keeping me in the loop and updating me. . I’m glad I believed her because my dog came back smiling, happy, and she kept us updated with lots of pictures along the way. I will definitely be leaving my pup with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
