“Kaitlyn is a competent and trustworthy pet sitter who's skilled and confident in giving medications and injections. We're so happy that she gave great care to our cats and communicated with us regularly.”

About: I grew up with a Doberman (Raven) and a Shih-Tzu (Salem) who I loved dearly. Now, I have a cat named Harvest who I adopted a year ago! I spent my senior year of high school volunteering with Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) in Houston, TX. I also volunteered at a shelter in Alexandria, VA during the brief time I lived there. I am available weekdays after 6pm for drop-in visits and dog walking. I can house sit Fri-Sun, beginning Fri evening and leaving Sun evening. I will have more daytime availability starting mid-August and will update this then. I live in a quiet one-bedroom apartment with my cat, Harvest. I'm often reading or sitting out on my balcony enjoying the peace.
“Kinsey was wonderful with my two dogs during her drop-in visit. One of my dogs is very shy and apprehensive around new people, but Kinsey was incredibly patient and took extra time to help her feel comfortable and safe. I really appreciated how attentive and understanding she was. I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in her care, and I will definitely be booking with Kinsey again.”

“Hayley was able to accommodate our very last minute booking, and she even managed to squeeze in a meet and greet with the pups beforehand. Our shy girl warmed up Hayley right away, and our high-energy girl definitely found someone to match her energy. Even though it was a short trip, Hayley took lots of photos and wrote up detailed reports. Hayley took great care of our pets while we were away and we would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’m not just looking to walk or watch your dog. I truly love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for. I am reliable, communicative, and attentive to each dog’s personality, routine, and needs. I’m currently working part-time on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. I have a flexible schedule on Wednesday, Friday, and the weekends. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their familiar environment. I carefully follow each pet’s routine. I also keep the home clean and make sure pets always have fresh water and attention. I also can send regular updates so owners know their pets are in good hands!
About: I’m an experienced dog owner with two huskies of my own, and previously I had a Jack-Russel terrier I took on lots of walks, so I understand high-energy breeds, strong personalities, and the importance of structure, routine, and exercise. I have a 6 foot fence, that my huskies cannot jump, so if you have a dog that likes to jump, my fence can probably keep them contained in my backyard for their safety. I’m comfortable handling energetic dogs, leash manners, and dogs that need consistent exercise to stay happy and calm. Walks are never rushed—I tailor them to each dog’s energy level, weather conditions, and comfort. I also pay close attention to hydration, behavior cues, and overall well-being. Your dog will receive individual attention, affection, and calm supervision in a home environment. I take pet safety seriously and follow owner instructions closely, including feeding routines, medication schedules (if applicable), and house rules. I am also a mom to two humans, 7 years old and 9 months old. I am a stay at home mom, so my schedule is very flexible for dog walking or drop-ins, but I may have my baby in stroller with me for walks, please let me know if that’s not ok. I recently quit my job at the CDC, I was a biologist, to spend time with my girls during their formative years. I am a stay-at-home mom, taking care of my huskies and baby. As long as you don’t mind me bringing my baby to walk alongside your dog in my stroller, I can walk your dog anytime of day during the week or weekends. I have a 6 foot tall, fenced-in backyard, so I am ideal boarding spot for high energy dogs. I have a 6 foot tall, fenced in backyard and 2 sweet husky ladies to keep your dog company in doors. I can crate your dog in my house if needed. I believe clear communication is key, so I provide updates, photos, and honest feedback during each booking. My goal is for you to feel confident and for your dog to feel secure, exercised, and cared for while you’re away.
About: I've taken care of house animals for over a decade, working with all types from small dogs and puppies to my very large white lab Drake and a few different cats! I'm comfortable walking, feeding, crating, managing potty breaks, and diffusing stressful situations (I have a dog who was abused as a puppy and struggles with certain new people so I'm no stranger to barking/feelings of threat). As a sitter, I believe a gentle touch and strong boundaries truly help our pets thrive and grow safely. I can't wait to meet your furry friends! I'm currently babysitting part-time, so I have a very flexible schedule during both weekdays and weekends to check in on and take care of your pets! While caring for pets in others' homes, the first thing I seek to establish is trust. I get it, I'm a new person invading your pet's space and it's scary! That's why I initially take some time to build rapport through playing and petting, and I start with slow, gentle movements. Once they feel more comfortable around me, my focus shifts to making sure they have all of my attention, everything they need (food, water, clean bed, etc.), and keeping the home a safe space for them while you are away!
“Dan was wonderful and so great with our girls! He was attentive and patient with everyone and we can’t wait to work with him again in the future! Awesome individual to work with!”

“Morgan was the perfect pet sitter- our cat was better than when we left him! She truly cares for the pets and is extremely responsive/ communicative! Will definitely use Morgan again!”

About: I’ve always loved animals ever since I was young. I grew up in a house with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, you name it. I can’t wait to love on and care for your animal(s)! I work a full-time job Monday-Friday. I’d be available for evening walks every night of the week and would be available for Tuesday and Thursday morning walks. Available all weekends! I will treat your home and animal with the same respect and attention I would give my own! I make sure pets are safe, happy, and well-exercised, following all instructions carefully—from feeding schedules to favorite walking routes. I keep the home clean and secure, tidying up after walks, locking up properly, and ensuring everything is just as you left it.
“Amazing pet sitter! He sent pics and detailed reports every check in. My cat was in great hands with him. He was even able to give my cat his meds. 10/10 recommend Remington to take care of your fur babies.”

“Jay was an excellent communicator and sent lots of picture updates. Jay checked on our dog several times while we were out of town, and I felt very comfortable knowing he was in good hands. I highly recommend Jay as a trustworthy and reliable sitter!”
“Jeanmarie is a gem. My husband and I went on a 5 day trip and we just needed someone to check in on our car to make sure she didn't get into too much trouble. Que a hurricane right before we left and I was a ball of anxiety. Jeanmarie updated me every day and assured me everything was fine. I can't thank her enough.”

Decatur dog parents share their Rover experiences
Couldn’t recommend Elizabeth enough! She was watched my dog and 2 cats while I traveled internationally. She was incredibly accommodating and communicative. This was our first time leaving our dog for so long and she did a wonderful job of making him feel comfortable and relaxed. One of my cats also is usually incredibly shy around strangers and Elizabeth is the only sitter I’ve used from Rover who he comes out for. Our flight got delayed and Elizabeth was very accommodating to the change in the schedule. We are so appreciative!

Kinsey was wonderful with my two dogs during her drop-in visit. One of my dogs is very shy and apprehensive around new people, but Kinsey was incredibly patient and took extra time to help her feel comfortable and safe. I really appreciated how attentive and understanding she was. I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in her care, and I will definitely be booking with Kinsey again.

Tatiana is great! She takes great care of our pup each time she visits. We have a dog that is spoiled rotten and quirky. Tatiana willingly plays bubbles with her and pays attention to the details . We trust Tatiana completely. Our doodle seems to really enjoy her visits.

Micah was fantastic, we had a great experience and highly recommend for any dog watching needs! We appreciated the pictures and updates from Micah and trusted that our dogs would be well taken care of, which they were. Micah was very attentive to the dogs and their needs, our expectations were exceeded!!

Lynn is amazing! She took on the responsibility of my pups, last minute, having never met them, and did wonderfully! Lynn communicated with me at every step. She is thoughtful and totally wants to do everything she can to make my pups, and me, comfortable and taken care of. She is highly recommend! I will definitely want to book Lynn again!
