I have had a love and passion for animals—specifically cats—ever since I was little. I grew up with cats in my household from the moment I was born, and when I was 7 years old I had the honor of meeting and adopting my soul cat Gabby, who lived a wonderful life by my side for 19.5 years. As soon as I was old enough, I frequently offered to cat-sit for my friends and neighbors as often as I could. When I was 13 I even volunteered at a local cat shelter just to get more kitty time! Interacting with cats genuinely just brings me so much joy. I currently have two cats of my own: Boo Radley and Lychee Peachy. They both bring such a light to my life and are my pride and joy. Boo is also an eyeless blind cat, so I do have experience caring for kitties with special needs! In addition to my two cats, I care for my hamster Linguine Tortellini, so if you are also in need of small or exotic animal care I am more than happy to care for your tinier babies! I make sure to offer the highest quality care for your kitties while you are away so that you can feel at ease knowing your babies are in good hands. In addition to ensuring they have the basics met like food, fresh water, and clean litter, I also love to provide them with enrichment through playtime or offer endless cuddles. I also understand that every cat is unique, so whether your cat is skittish and prefers to keep their distance, or is an outgoing cuddle monster, I always respect each individual cat’s needs and boundaries. I also know how much I miss and worry about my cats when I’m gone, so I make sure to send lots of photos and updates each visit. I would be honored to set up a meet and greet with your kitties to learn all their habits, routines, and needs so I can ensure to provide the best care possible for them! I do work from home full time, so on Mondays-Fridays I’m available for drop-in visits before 9am and after 5pm (I can occasionally take a lunch break if you need a visit midday!). Saturdays and Sundays I’m extremely flexible to come care for your babies. I like to arrange a meet and greet with you and your kitties before officially starting the booking so that I can get to know your cats’ needs, habits, and routines, and make any notes of special care they might need. Every cat is different and unique, so I adapt and adjust my care based on what they need. If your cat wants lots of cuddles and interaction, then that’s exactly what they’ll get, and if they’d prefer for me to keep my distance or sit quietly in the room with them, then I’m happy to admire them from afar.
About: I've forever had a love for dogs. Shadowed in a vet office for two years and have seen animals been given oral meds and other treatments. Have owned several dogs. Currently have 1 dog named Chester. Also have worked with pregnant dogs (my mom has bred several litters). Comfortable with any breed or size. Passionate about every animal not just dogs. I love to go on walks and I'm an excellent trick trainer I might add. I work full time, but I work from home so I am flexible to work with a schedule for feedings and walks. I also can have portable monitor so I can work from other locations besides my home. If I plan to watch you dog overnight, I prefer to do it in the client’s home. Generally, it makes it more comfortable for the dog. Adjustments can be hard and they are already getting used to an unfamiliar face taking care of them. About: I love animals but can’t have pets in my apartment so would appreciate sharing that love with your pet! About: I have been a dog owner my entire life! Love all shapes and sizes! You can feel comfortable with me as I am a retired elementary school teacher and adore dogs. I treat my two yorkies as my children and will treat your dog with love, empathy and patience. Very reliable and walking is my favorite activity! Overnight stays can be arranged if needed. I have had an old English sheepdog, German short haired pointer, collie, Rottweiler, an Irish Setter, and I currently own two Yorkshire Terriers Lilly and Brutus.
