About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I have trained many dogs, including pitbull’s Saint Bernards, Chihuahuas, Maltese, etc. I have taken care of dogs at all ages in stages of life, elderly, puppy, pregnant. I absolutely adore dogs! I am an avid walker and walk over 6 miles daily. I would love to help out some people with furry friends who aren’t able to walk them as much! In my home, your dog will receive the pet-centered care they deserve per your directions (feeding, walks, etc) They will have a room to feel safe, inside or outside a crate. They will be encouraged to sit on the couch or in a dog bed for chill time, receive frequent walks (I do not currently have a fenced yard) and will be left alone for 2-3 hours max.

About: Over the past year, I've pet sat regularly for friends, including overnight house-sitting stays and drop-in visits. My friends have trusted me with repeat visits because I stick to routines, pay close attention to each pet's needs, and communicate clearly while they're away. My schedule is wide open right now (the place I worked went out of business) so I have plenty of availability for pet sitting throughout the week. I keep a regular daytime schedule and don't stay out or up late. A couple of evenings a week I have roller derby practice or networking events, but I'm typically home by 10 PM so this won't affect overnight availability. I try to be a calm, attentive presence during visits, and I carefully follow instructions on how to care for your pets. I make sure to have vet and emergency information before you leave and will let you know immediately if anything comes up while you're away. I make sure to lock up and set the alarm every time I leave and leave your home as I found it. I have references from repeat clients if you'd like to check with them first.

I have experience with administering oral medication and working with high energy pets. If there are special requests I am more than happy to discuss what is needed. I also have experience with taking care of cats, so if there are extra animals I am more than happy to care for them as well. Whether it’s an early morning walk or time needed after dinner, I can assist. I like to keep to the same schedule that the pet is used to. I ensure pets are fed and walked at times they are used to. I make sure to spend time with pets after feeding and then take them out before leaving. We currently do not have pets in our home, so if boarding is needed you do not need to worry about other pets. We also have a large fenced in backyard and live in a dog-friendly neighborhood that includes a lake with lots of ducks and geese, a fun time for everyone :)

We had a great experience! Our boy has some anxiety and can take a little while to warm up to new people, so we appreciated how patient and understanding she was. She came by for a meet and greet beforehand and took the time to let him get comfortable at his own pace. She was great with him during their first hangout, and we feel comfortable having her for future drop in visits!
