About: I have experience caring for my own dog as well as pets for friends and family. I’m comfortable with walking, feeding routines, crate training, and providing a calm, structured environment for dogs of all sizes. I am a teacher so I am currently on summer break. This means I have a very open schedule to provide pet services. Inbox me to learn more! I have both a front and back yard, but they are not fenced, so all dogs are always safely supervised and kept on a leash while outside. Inside, I provide a clean, calm, and comfortable environment where dogs can relax, play, and feel at home. Max is my friendly, well-socialized rescue dog who loves meeting and playing with other dogs. He’s gentle, adaptable, and does well with different personalities and energy levels.
“Ben took excellent care of our dog, Ernie - he sent detailed updates and was very patient with our quirky rescue! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring and thorough dog sitter!”

“Bindi - my high-energy, somewhat skittish Italian greyhound - absolutely adores Jeanmarie! Bindi immediately felt comfortable both playing with and curling up next to Jeanmarie, and that is a first. I can't leave Bindi with just anyone, but I am confident in Jeanmarie's skills. She's got the magic touch!”

“Shirley is an amazing sitter! One of the more thoughtful ones we’ve had based on the questions she asked. My dog did incredibly well under her care and we will certainly book with her again!”

About: I’ve had my pitty for roughly two years and have had to deal with training, medicinal application, behavioral management and hardcore cuddling. I also have experience dealing with smaller dogs as well and tailoring my care to suit their needs as well. I work in the food service industry so my schedule can be a bit sporadic but I have taken care of my dog for two years without incident and it’s been great! I can be as flexible as you need me to be. Frequent walks and playtime. Your buddy will get the attention they deserve! I currently do not offer services in my home because my dog does not get along with intact dogs and my apartment is small.
About: I grew up with always having at least one dog and several cats at the same time, so I am used to a little pet chaos! Currently a cat mom to 3 cats, and am a self-proclaimed cat whisperer. I know it can be anxious leaving your pet at home while you are away, and promise to take care of your pets as if they are my own. I currently work Mondays thru Thursdays 9-5 but am very flexible before or after work to care for your pets. I do work from home on Fridays, and am available most weekends. My 3 cats are indoor only cats, so I am very aware and vigilant of keeping pets safe in their environments. Since they are indoor only, I have gotten very creative with activities to keep cats stimulated and active.
“What an awesome individual Dan is to work with! The girls LOVE seeing Dan and he is so calm and patient with us! Even when we have last minute schedule changes he is so great about understanding and being flexible with us and ours girls needs☺️ thank you so much Dan!!”

“Ryan is great with our dog Wylder. He drops in over the weekend and takes him for walks/potty breaks. He sends photos of him playing and info on what they did. Wylder definitely seems happier and calmer since Ryan has been dropping in.”

About: I have been the proud fur mom of several animals over the years. Now that I am working from home, I have the flexibility to help others care for theirs. I have experience with administering oral medication and working with high energy pets. If there are special requests I am more than happy to discuss what is needed. I also have experience with taking care of cats, so if there are extra animals I am more than happy to care for them as well. I am available mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights during the week and have open flexibility on the weekends. Having someone you can trust to care for your pet is a huge relief, I promise that your fur baby (or babies!) will be in good hands and feel the love when you are not able to be there! Im currently working from home with schedule flexibility, so your pet will have the time and attention they need while you are away. Whether it’s an early morning walk or time needed after dinner, I can assist. I like to keep to the same schedule that the pet is used to. I ensure pets are fed and walked at times they are used to. I make sure to spend time with pets after feeding and then take them out before leaving. We currently do not have pets in our home, so if boarding is needed you do not need to worry about other pets. We also have a large fenced in backyard and live in a dog-friendly neighborhood that includes a lake with lots of ducks and geese, a fun time for everyone :)
“Jordyn was great! She came over to meet our dogs beforehand and was so good with them. Provided us a rover card each day so we could see what the dogs were up to when she came! We will definitely be using her in the future :)”

“My second time booking with Zerandrian and another wonderful experience! I had a last minute change to my travel plans and Zerandrian was super flexible and communicative. Will definitely be re-booking again next time my 4-legged babies need a sitter! Thanks so much, Zerandrian!”

“Our 2nd visit from Julie, but not the last. Everything so well done, food, litter, water, daily pics and great communication, don't hesitate to book her for your kitties!”

About: I grew up with a Doberman (Raven) and a Shih-Tzu (Salem) who I loved dearly. Now, I have a cat named Harvest who I adopted a year ago! I spent my senior year of high school volunteering with Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) in Houston, TX. I also volunteered at a shelter in Alexandria, VA during the brief time I lived there. I am available weekdays after 6pm for drop-in visits and dog walking. I can house sit Fri-Sun, beginning Fri evening and leaving Sun evening. I will have more daytime availability starting mid-August and will update this then. I live in a quiet one-bedroom apartment with my cat, Harvest. I'm often reading or sitting out on my balcony enjoying the peace.
About: I've owned dogs my entire life. My family has a special place in their hearts for dogs. We've had multiple at once with each set. I'm open days and nights. Dogs seem to always love me because maybe they smell the upbeat personality I am very willingly to share with them. I've helped my friend who volunteers at the shelter a couple of times when they would have wild storm days. I want to work at a vet someday. I love animals and I will dedicate my life to ensuring they have a beautiful one! I also love to exercise so I take walks that the dog can most definitely join in on. I am perfect at timing so she/he will always be feed and cared for on time.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Avondale Estates
Aiiaha was great and Cali loved her, which I’ve had a hard time in the past finding people that Cali would like. Cali is a dog that goes on vibes and doesn’t get along with a lot of people. Aiiaha was right on time and very professional and was great with both of my dogs! So glad to have found her to help!!

We had a great experience! Our boy has some anxiety and can take a little while to warm up to new people, so we appreciated how patient and understanding she was. She came by for a meet and greet beforehand and took the time to let him get comfortable at his own pace. She was great with him during their first hangout, and we feel comfortable having her for future drop in visits!

Kamron was awesome with our dog and friends dog that was staying over. We asked for a last minute drop in and Kamron came through! He left great feedback. It was such a relief having someone we could trust to check on them. He was super quick to respond. He also paid attention to detail and took great care in what we needed. We will use him again for sure! Above and beyond, excellent experience.

I can always count on Jax to take wonderful care of my two dogs. She is incredibly patient, especially with my very slow skittish dog and all the shenanigans of her trusty sidekick. Jax gives them the time and space they need to feel comfortable, while taking everything they throw her way in stride. It means so much to know they’re in such caring, capable hands. I truly can’t say enough good things about Jax.

Lindsey was awesome and did a fantastic job caring for my dog, Angel. The pictures and videos took the story. Angel was so happy and surprised me, on how Lindsey could bring the best version of Angel. It has taught me where I need to work on to better our relationship. I was impressed with Lindsey’s professionalism and all the extra things done (bushed Angel’s undercoat) I highly recommend Lindsey dog care services. I was was truly delighted and would rebook without hesitation! Thank you Rover!!

We were pleasantly surprised to see our Barley so relaxed and himself when we arrived back home after the visit. We knew Jennifer and he would be great together since Jennifer has such a peaceful and attentive nature. We received wonderful photos of him looking happy and calm. Love them! Thank you, Jennifer, for taking such good care of Barley and allowing us to get out of the house for a bit without the worry. We appreciate your time and looking forward to the next visit very soon!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
