“Ryan is great with our dog Wylder. He drops in over the weekend and takes him for walks/potty breaks. He sends photos of him playing and info on what they did. Wylder definitely seems happier and calmer since Ryan has been dropping in.”

“Stacy was fantastic! This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit nervous but Stacy made it easy and took great care of my cats. Will be re-booking her for my trip next month!”

About: We were lucky to have two amazing dogs for 15 and 16 years, caring for them from playful puppyhood all the way through their senior years—including supporting one through cancer. They’ve since passed, and we truly miss having that love and energy in our home. Because of our experience, we’re comfortable and equipped to care for dogs at every stage of life. More than anything, we understand how much your pups mean to you, and we’ll give them the same love, attention, and care we gave our own. I work from home full time, so I have plenty of flexibility for walks, playtime, and snuggles throughout the day. Most weekends we spend time at home playing in our fenced in backyard. At my home, pets enjoy a safe, comfortable environment with a fenced-in backyard for play and potty breaks. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, and any special instructions. Crates are available if needed, and I make sure pups get plenty of love, attention, and snuggle time. When visiting a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s usual schedule to keep them comfortable. I handle feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions so your dog feels safe and loved in their own environment.
“Really loved the pictures and the feedback Reese provided. He noticed that the dogs could benefit from a second visit each day just to ensure they were the most cared for. He was very attentive to their temperament, fed them according to instruction, and made me feel secure about leaving them in his care. Reese went above and beyond by cleaning up small messes my babies made around the home and reported all concerns immediately. Highly recommend booking Reese!”

Whether hosting in my own home or house sitting at clients
“We love Stacie! First time that she watched our pups and they love her already! Communication is stellar, tons of pics of our furbabies and she took the time to bring in our cans and packages while we were gone. Thanks Stacie!!”

“Great job as always. Fabulous job of communication through texts and Rover cards. Nice use of short video clips to show my cat Fizzy was doing just fine. I can’t recommend Joyce enough.”

“Ella is the BEST. She is responsible, warm, thoughtful, and reliable. She took excellent care of our cat while we were away - I had total peace of mind that he was being lovingly cared for!”
“Jessica was amazing with my dogs! They can be challenging, and they absolutely love her! She is wonderful and provides time with each of my 3 dogs. She is extremely patient and affectionate! I will definitely ask her to watch them many more times in the future! Thank you so much!!!”

“Tory was wonderful! So pleasant, communicated well, and our cats loved her! One of our cats usually hides when a sitter comes over, but she was all over Tory -- very good stamp of approval.”

About: I’m a reliable and compassionate house and pet sitter with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for homes, pets, and family members. Growing up with a mother who has worked in the veterinary profession for over 26 years, I’ve been around animals my entire life and have learned a lot about proper care, behavior, and basic medical attention for dogs. Because of that background, I’m comfortable with many aspects of dog care, including: • Administering basic medications • Monitoring behavior for signs of illness or distress • Cleaning and dressing minor wounds • Bathing and grooming assistance • Feeding routines and special diets • Walking and exercise schedules • Senior dog care and mobility support • Providing calm care for anxious pets Dogs are truly a passion of mine. While I do like cats, I unfortunately have allergies, so I prefer dog sitting and other household care rather than cat sitting. 🩷 Pet care fits easily into my daily routine even while working a Monday–Friday 8–5 schedule. I’m able to provide care before work, during my midday break, and after work, which allows me to maintain a consistent routine for pets. In the mornings, I make sure pets get walked, fed, and settled comfortably before I leave for work. I also have a midday hour break, which allows me to return for a potty break, quick walk, feeding if needed, and some attention/playtime. In the evenings, I dedicate time for longer walks, exercise, feeding, and companionship so pets feel relaxed and cared for. For house sitting, I do my best to keep pets on their normal routine and make sure they receive plenty of attention and care while their owners are away. I’m also very communicative and happy to send regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I always follow the pet owner’s routine and care instructions so pets feel comfortable and stay on their normal schedule. If a routine isn’t provided, I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise, attention, and playtime, including walks of at least 45 minutes. I’m happy to help with feeding, fresh water, outdoor play, potty breaks, and lots of attention. With the owner’s permission, I can also take dogs to dog parks or longer walks for extra exercise and socialization. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, maintaining their routine, and providing updates so owners have peace of mind while they’re away. 🐾
“Eryn is so great! I use her services every weekend because I work long hours. She is so great with my dogs and also helped by bringing some packages in my house that had been delivered without me having to ask! Thanks Eryn!”

About: Hi, my name is Brittany and I love animals. (I'm sure everyone here says that.) I have been volunteering at various shelters for years, as well as fostering dogs and house sitting for dogs, cats, and chickens. I am trustworthy (I have client references if needed) and I take great care to make sure every pet feels love like they should. :) I do request dogs to be house trained. I can offer a nice walk on sidewalks or the trail, or just throwing a ball inside, if your pet is anything like mine was. (Miniature Rat Terrier, we played a lot of fetch in this condo.) I work from home so there will be a lot of one-on-one time. I’m that someone to water your plants and get your mail while you are away! Prices are based on a 24 hour cycle. (Example: If you drop off pup(s) at 10 am, your pick-up time is 10 am.) If you need to extend your time, 1-3 hours is $5, 3-6 hours $10, 6-9 hours, $15, 9+ hours, full day's rate. This is per dog. My standard routine is working from my laptop, occasional grocery trips, lots of watching Hulu and couch cuddle time. I try to take a daily walk around .5 miles but can adjust to shorter or longer walks based on dog needs. I prefer staying at client’s home, I’ve found most pups feel more comfortable that way. A meet and greet is preferred, just a walk through of how you keep your house, how your pup/s like to be cared for, etc. I’m a homebody, pets will be left alone for no longer than a trip to Kroger.

We were pleasantly surprised to see our Barley so relaxed and himself when we arrived back home after the visit. We knew Jennifer and he would be great together since Jennifer has such a peaceful and attentive nature. We received wonderful photos of him looking happy and calm. Love them! Thank you, Jennifer, for taking such good care of Barley and allowing us to get out of the house for a bit without the worry. We appreciate your time and looking forward to the next visit very soon!

Really loved the pictures and the feedback Reese provided. He noticed that the dogs could benefit from a second visit each day just to ensure they were the most cared for. He was very attentive to their temperament, fed them according to instruction, and made me feel secure about leaving them in his care. Benjamin was absolutely wonderful with Blu and Puddin! From the very first message he was communicative, professional, and genuinely caring. It's not easy finding someone you can trust with a high-energy Husky AND a 13-year-old teacup Yorkie, but Ben handled both of them with ease. He followed all of our care instructions perfectly and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Puddin can be a delicate little lady and Blu keeps you on your toes, but Ben took it all in stride. We came home to two happy, well cared for pups and that says everything. We will definitely be booking with Ben again; highly recommend! 🐾

I hate to brag on her because that books her calendar and makes reservations tight. However, there is no way to say anything contradictory. Sarah has become part of our family. I totally trust her with my fur babies. I think my cat loves her more than me sometimes. And she is very attentive to any changes. Like this visit she knew something was up when my dog didn’t eat the last day. She notified me and made an extra visit to come to check her condition. She is proactive when anything is abnormal. Not only does she notify me but offers suggestion on what to do. My babies are seniors like me now and she adjust their activity as needed. I could write a book on how wonderful, loving & caring Sarah has and continues to be. I am so glad Sarah came into our lives. My fur babies say 5 stars are not enough. They see her as a special Aunt that has always been there for them, loves on them and makes them happy. Oh the eating problem turned out that my dog was missing me. Since I retired we are together all the time. Once I brought my suitcase inside she ate all her food. Nice to know that my dog loves me that much and not just Sarah ❤️
Faith is amazing with our two boys (13YO Shiba Inu and 8YO GSD/hound mix)! Especially the Shiba, who can be a little stubborn. But for her, he’s his best self, and even lets her brush out his coat! Faith is our go-to and makes leaving our pups home so much easier on us, as we don’t need to worry about their health, safety, or happiness!
Again Ms. Cat did an amazing job with my 2 babies. She is very attentive with them and knows each of their personalities really well. The biggest struggle for me is ensuring that my older dog, Walker, could get his medication. We talking through his needs each day, twice a day and she had no issues administering his eye drops. When I arrived home they were both comfortable and not stressed as I have experienced with other sitters.

Can’t say enough good things about Meredith! She is super reliable and communicative and just does such a great job with my 2 cats and bulldog. Wish I could give her another star for crawling through one of my windows to get in my house when the door was jammed. I can always count on her!!

We’ve used Elisabeth in the past and we had such a great experience we used her three times this week! My wife went out of town and I needed help making sure my two dogs got a midday potty break and play time. When I reached out to Elisabeth to see if she could help, she answered me kindly and quickly! Each of the three days Elisabeth was on time, provided me with thorough updates and sent lots of good pictures. She was very sweet with our dogs! Elisabeth is great!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
