About: My husband and I provide a calm, clean, and loving home for dogs who do best in a relaxed, structured environment. We both work from home Tuesday through Friday, so your dog will have plenty of attention, consistency, and care throughout the week. We have over 15 years of experience caring for our own dogs and have also looked after a wide variety of breeds, including doodles, labs, springer spaniels, French bulldogs, terriers, vizslas, GSPs, and mixed breeds. We truly love dogs and treat them like part of the family. We have a 5-year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer who is well-socialized and gets along great with other dogs. She can be a little skittish with new people at first, but she loves other dogs and is very comfortable sharing her space. She’s also great at entertaining herself and can play independently when needed. Our home is a great fit for dogs who enjoy both activity and downtime. My husband goes on 3+ mile runs every other day, and we take daily walks around the neighborhood. We’re happy to match your dog’s routine and energy level to make sure they feel comfortable and at home. We’re best suited for well-behaved adult dogs who do well in a calm home environment and can be left alone for a few hours if needed. Our goal is to provide a safe, low-stress stay where your dog feels cared for and relaxed while you’re away. We love being part of the Brookhaven community and enjoy a routine, active lifestyle. My husband and I both work full-time, but together we work from home 4 out of 5 weekdays, which allows us to give dogs a lot of attention, consistency, and care throughout the week. We joined Rover because we genuinely love dogs and know how valuable it is to have your dog stay in a real dog-loving home while you’re away. When we travel, we personally prefer having our dog stay with another dog owner rather than a traditional boarding setup, so we understand how important trust and peace of mind are. We intentionally do not leave dogs alone for long stretches, and our routine includes regular walks, playtime, and plenty of time to relax at home. We ask that you pick up/ drop off between 6am - 8pm We have a fenced-in backyard with plenty of space to run and play, and dogs in our home are treated like family. Dogs are welcome on the furniture because we love a cozy, home-like environment, and our own GSP can usually be found curled up under a blanket. We have a 5-year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer who gets along well with other dogs and enjoys both playtime and relaxing independently. She is crate trained, and while she now has free range of the house when we leave, we do have a medium sized crate available if your dog is more comfortable with that routine. Our goal is to make your dog feel safe, loved, and at home while they’re with us.
“I’m so grateful we found Brooke! She agreed to care for our Yuki just 2 days before a need, after another sitter canceled. From the time she walked through our door for the meet and greet our suspicious, 95lb Akita had made a fast friend. Brooke’s gentle and caring demeanor was an instant connection for us. She is clearly an animal lover, responsible and asked thoughtful questions. During the time she provided care she communicated well and left lots of pics. Very reassuring to find someone that we can trust to care for our Bear. Will book her again very soon!”

“Amy is amazing. Very flexible when I changed timing and great at communicating. My cat loved her - she is great with animals. She also got some great pictures. She made everything so easy. And gave me peace of mind while I was traveling. She is perfect!!”

“Kayla - is just the kind of spirit you’d want to watch your dog. She was kind, timely, willing to go above and beyond and made sure our puppy was right at home and on schedule. We will definitely work with her again. We know our dog loved her!”

About: I've been around animals for most of my life and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I grew up with a family dog who came into my life when I was 7 years old, and helping care for him gave me years of hands-on experience with feeding, walks, playtime, and daily companionship. I also have about a year of experience caring for cats, including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and spending time with them to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I work a flexible hybrid schedule, so my exact availability shifts day to day, but I'm almost always able to make time for drop-ins, walks, or boarding intakes, even on short notice. I'll confirm timing with you as soon as you reach out so we can find a window that works. The only fixed commitment I have is an evening class on Mondays and Wednesdays, so intakes those nights may need to happen earlier in the day, late that night, or the next morning. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live directly next to a park, providing a convenient and enjoyable place for walks, exercise, and outdoor time. Whether your pet enjoys long walks or simply exploring at their own pace, they'll have easy access to a great environment. When caring for your pet, I'll be home the entire time to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. I know every pet has their own routine, so I'll do my best to follow your instructions closely to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'm also happy to send regular updates and photos throughout their stay so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Sarah did an excellent job taking care of our dogs. She is reliable and communicated effectively throughout the process. We have four large dogs, and Sarah managed their care with ease. We plan to use Sarah's services again in the future and would highly recommend her to any pet owner.”

About: Hey there! I’m Kayla, a professional dog trainer with over four years of hands-on experience. When your dog stays with me, they’re cared for in a structured, calm environment where training principles are naturally reinforced throughout the day. For safety and balance, all dogs must be comfortable being crated overnight (about 6 hours). This allows me to care for multiple dogs while keeping the household stress-free for the pups. I share my home with my own well-trained, social pup and here each pup receives personalized attention, mental stimulation, clear boundaries, and plenty of affection, so they go home happy, and often more polished than when they arrived. As a professional dog trainer, boarding is a natural extension of my daily routine. Dogs in my care are fully supervised in a safe, structured environment designed to support calm behavior and positive habits. Whether your dog enjoys social play or prefers more one-on-one time, their day is tailored to them. Training is incorporated into the day to day to keep dogs engaged, balanced, and fulfilled. In my home, dogs enjoy safe, fully supervised social time or structured one-on-one interaction, depending on what suits them best. Each day includes multiple engagement periods to ensure dogs stay exercised mentally and physically. For longer stays or owners who want continued mental stimulation while away, personalized training sessions are also available. Feel free to inquire within your request and have confidence that your pup’s stay will be guided by professional experience.
“First time Rover user, and will definitely be using Lauren again if we can! She was such a great help with our pup - she gave me updates throughout her time with him along with a bunch of pictures! I could tell our pup was super happy and tired from all his playtime”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of dogs my whole life from puppies to senior dogs. I also have been a cat owner for 4 years now. I work remotely and have some flexibility during the week and weekends. Will be starting grad school in the summer and will have even more flexibility for all your pet needs! I am pretty Type A when it comes to pet safety due to my own love for animals and the pride I take in being a pet owner. I would be able to offer a puppy proof environment, clean water and supervised feeding (if needed), supervision, stimulation, etc. I know the warning signs for any type of distress and would feel comfortable addressing as needed.
About: I have 4 years of experience watching pets of all sizes. I live in an apartment with a dog park and tons of walking trails. I will provide the best service for your pets! You will not be disappointed. I’m currently working remotely so I can spend a ton of time with your furry friends! My job is pretty flexible so I can take breaks every 2 hours or so as needed. I’m available 7 days a week. I like to get guidance from each pet owner to ensure that I’m properly caring for their pet. I tend to change the way I care for them based on their specific needs. I’m the only one living in my apartment and can provide a nice and quiet environment.

About: Hi 👋👋👋 I love pets from when I was very young, I had a dog in the past, currently I’m happy owner of two British cats. I’m very responsible, love to spend time with animals. I’m not working, so my schedule is pretty flexible, just let me know how it works best for you and I will try to be on time. I care for your pets as I would my own. About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember! I grew up with a family dog, and now I have two pups of my own who are basically my children. Friends and coworkers regularly trust me to care for their dogs when they’re out of town, and I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality! Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, cuddle time, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pup feels comfortable, safe, and loved. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet, so I’ll care for your dog like they’re my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages while you’re away. I work full time and my scheduled days can vary, but I love spending my free time with pups and have a flexible schedule outside of work. I’m available for evenings, weekends, and sometimes mornings with advanced notice. I live in a pet-friendly apartment community with a fenced-in dog park, but I typically walk my own dogs on a leash and am happy to do whatever makes you most comfortable. Every dog is different, so I’ll always accommodate your preferred routine!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
