“Gabriyela was attent e to Chloe's needs, provided excellent communication before, during and after her stay. We appreciated the photos and cute comments that made us feel comfortable and confident about being away. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”

“This was the 2nd time Jordan stayed with our dog and two cats and we have been more than pleased both times! She is communicative sending pictures and updates daily, leaves the house straightened up and clean, and was even willing to water our garden and bring our trash cans out and back while we were gone. Millie, Milo, and Cali were VERY loved and cared for while we were gone. 5 stars!!!”

About: Hi! I have fallen in love with volunteering at the CAC shelter the past months and want to spend more time with animals 🐾 I grew up with family dogs (yorkie, maltipoo, & husky) but I currently have a mischievous tuxedo cat! I currently work remotely so as long as there’s wifi I’m good to go for weekdays and weekends! I also can take pets out or play during my breaks. I will follow any instructions given about food, walks, cat quirks, or however you want me to care for your pet. Whatever makes you and them most comfortable!

“Sherri was amazing! She stayed at our house with our 2 senior dogs and 2 senior cats and took great care of them. We appreciated the photos and updates daily. We completely trust her and couldn’t have asked for better care for our furry family. We would definitely love to have Sherri back.”

“Koda loved Ryan and they become buds real quick! This was my first time using Rover and leaving Koda with a dog sitter! He sent me updates and lots of pics everyday! Best experience and would rebook with Ryan!”

“Aaliyah did a great job watching both our dogs!!! She took lots of picture and they looked so happy the whole time! She left our house in great condition and highly recommend!”

“Jackie watched our two dogs and our house while we were out of town and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. She kept us in the loop the entire time with updates and photos, which made being away a whole lot easier. The pups were happy and well cared for when we got home, and somehow the house was cleaner than we left it. If you're looking for a responsible, animal loving person to watch your home and pets, Jackie is the one. We'd have her back in a heartbeat.”

“I cannot say enough about Omeria!! I have a 4 yr old rescue who can be aggressive/protective out of fear and Omeria is the only person in all her years who gave her a chance and actually worked with her. She has so much compassion and she is SO professional in how she cared for our sweet baby. I have FINALLY found a person I can trust to keep our pup and I cannot wait to have her come back!! If you need a reliable, prompt, compassionate, trustworthy, hard working and honest dog sitter.. Look. No. Further.”

“Savannah is an absolute gem! She recently took care of our 3 pups and our home while we spent a week at the beach, and she went above and beyond! She made sure we were updated on how the pups were doing and actively looked for ways to help us around our home to make our return so much easier. Our pups were so happy when we came home, we could tell they received so much TLC. Highly recommend!”

“Lorie is wonderful. She took such good care of my boys that I had not one moment of concern during the week I was away. She texted me often during the day with updates, photos and videos. I would highly recommend Lorie.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my home for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been pet sitting and dog walking for about eight years. I truly love animals and treat every pet I care for like part of my family. I have experience with all kinds of dogs and cats, from energetic puppies to calm seniors, and I always focus on keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable. Since I work primarily from home, I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pets lots of time, attention, and check-ins throughout the day. I make it easy to keep your pet’s routine consistent, whether that’s regular walks, playtime, or feeding schedules. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. I make sure pets feel relaxed and at home by keeping their routine familiar—same feeding times, walking schedule, and the level of affection they’re used to. Whether I’m in your home or caring for your pet during a walk or visit, I create a calm, safe environment and pay close attention to their needs, behavior, and comfort.

“My dogs were extremely happy and relaxed when I came back home after being in Bri’s care. She took incredible care of them and my apartment was immaculate. She is professional, trustworthy, and interested in learning about your pets to best caew for them and accommodate their routines as much as possible. Highly, highly recommend booking with her.”

“Gabriela was super communicative and reliable. She took good care of my dog and cat and sent lots of updates and photos. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Sara did a wonderful job taking care of our Willow and house! With Willow being reactive, she was kind enough to come for 2 meet and greets for her to get comfortable and was so patient. Definitely recommend and will be booking in the future!”

About: As a newish widow and empty nester I have a lot of love and affection to give, and I want to give it to your pets. I’m a home/pet sitter because I believe your pets already have to handle not having their loved ones around. Uprooting them and taking them from their safe place to go to a strange location on top of that is too much on some animals. If you have the spare room, I’ll come to you. I’ll stay there while you’re gone, following your routine and schedule, and even take pictures/videos (if allowed) to send you updates, if you want. I’m willing to take your pets to any vet or grooming appointments as long as you have all payments for said appointments handled beforehand. Let me help make your travels easier on you and your animal family. I follow whatever schedule your pet usually has at home. You tell me (written or typed) their wake and sleep schedule, walk schedule, eating schedule, and any medication instructions. That’s what I follow. *Any free time will be filled with as much love and enrichment as your pet allows. At the beginning I will take whatever time is necessary for your pet to become comfortable with me. Once they’re comfortable with me in their space I will follow any and all instructions given, to provide the best care possible for them. It’s your home, so it’s your rules. *Your private space stays off limits.* I try to leave where I’m at better than it was when I got there. So, I will clean up after myself. Insuring you have as smooth a transition as possible. If any issues occur I will follow your instructions for both non-emergency and emergency issues, for your home and your pet, and notify you in your preferred method.
“We had a great experience with Angely house sitting and watching our St. Bernard and two cats for 4 nights. She was prompt, followed all instructions and schedules, and left our home tidy. We received plenty of pictures and updates of the pets while we were away. Will definitely use Angely's services again.”

“Rachel was amazing! I felt completely comfortable with her in my home and knew she was taking the best care of my elderly dogs. She sent updates, pictures, and truly seemed to love my dogs well. She also even cared for my house and left it better than we left! I will definitely be using her again and recommend her for anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate animal care-giver.”

My pup Albie could not have been in better hands. Cynthia was very communicative while I was away, and the house was spotless and everything well taken care of when I got home. For example, she let me know when my dog randomly freaked out about a noise outside and made sure to comfort him and figure out what was going on. She is such a sweet, interesting person— a true animal lover— and I would definitely book her again.

Jakobi was Great with Poppy! He was courteous, knowledgeable and did fantastic job of helping Poppy. Jakobi sent texts, pictures and messages regarding Poppy while I was away. I knew she was in great hands While I was away! Thank you for taking such good care of my girl. Will definitely request him to dog sit again and told my neighbors who had dogs about Jakobi. I
Carla was great with my two dogs when I was out of town! She was responsive and sent photos and updates while I was gone! She was able to give my dogs medication and keep them on their schedule. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to watch my friends/family’s pets!

Alex was great - she stayed at our house and took very good care of our dogs during our vacation. We got enough photos and updates to assure us that everything was good, and didn’t have any issues the entire time. Our house was exactly as we had left everything, and the pups seemed very happy staying home with her. We would absolutely hire her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Chamblee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Chamblee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chamblee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
