“Scar was amazing with my two kitties and stayed over a few nights with them. I have a super shy girl that Scar won over and gave lots of pets to, and an extra hyper kitten that they played with and didn’t mind her kitten antics. I received fantastic photos of my kitties that made me feel so much better about my trip. Would definitely rebook and recommend!”

“Gabriyela was prompt, professional, and very patient with our senior pups. We came back to a spotless house and happy dogs. We are so appreciative of the care and service she provided!”

“Linda is the best! This was my first time using Rover and my first time getting a dog/house sitter for my rescue, Duncan. My dog is a sweet but anxious little guy and I was so worried to leave him. Linda gave me updates everyday and went above and beyond taking care of Duncan and spending so much time with him. I was able to enjoy my two week trip so much because I didn’t have to worry. And she left my home cleaner than I left it for her! I will use Linda for as long as she’s dog sitting!”

“Raymond was the best with our pups! He took great care of them and kept them on their routine while we were away. He was very respectful of the house and left it in tip-top shape before he left. His communication was awesome and we will booking with him again!”

“Koda loved Ryan and they become buds real quick! This was my first time using Rover and leaving Koda with a dog sitter! He sent me updates and lots of pics everyday! Best experience and would rebook with Ryan!”

“Viva is the best dog sitter!!! Our boys have such a wonderful connection with her and while we miss them when we are away, we never worry about them. She always sends the best pictures and videos, too! 15/10!”

“Anna was amazing!!!! She helped out with a last minute request to watch our two pups and was extremely communicative, friendly and sweet. She showed up on time and the pups absolutely loved her. We will definitely book again!”

“Gabriela was the best sitter anyone could ask for - respected time, communication, sent photos and checked in often. She’s patient and trained my puppy to sit in just two days. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Mina is clearly passionate about dogs. She was super communicative and sent pics and updates which we loved. We also appreciated her flexibility. Very friendly and easy to coordinate with.”

About: I am organized and reliable. I have had dogs since I was a little kid, and have experience walking big dogs that pull and little dogs that need breaks. I am currently training for a half marathon and would be happy to take your dog on a short run or long walk! I am able to keep up with crazy puppies or just relax with lazy dogs that need endless petting. I’m currently home for the summer from college. I am taking a summer class online. So, if you want someone to stay at home with your animals while you’re gone, I can take my schoolwork with me and keep them company, as well as lots of play and walk breaks. I am willing to play with dogs outside in a fenced yard or go on a walk with a leash. I am used to opening and closing doors to ensure no dogs try to run.
“Drea did a wonderful job sitting for my 2 dogs. She was attentive, thoughtful, and the dogs absolutely loved her. I arrived home to a clean house and happy dogs. Thank you Drea!”

“Jakobi was Great with Poppy! He was courteous, knowledgeable and did fantastic job of helping Poppy. Jakobi sent texts, pictures and messages regarding Poppy while I was away. I knew she was in great hands While I was away! Thank you for taking such good care of my girl. Will definitely request him to dog sit again and told my neighbors who had dogs about Jakobi. I”
“AMAZING!!! This was my first Rover experience and I couldn't have been happier. Nancy stayed at our home with our Golden Daisy for a long weekend and was the best companion. Nancy sent pictures every day, went on walks and lots of snuggles. (Not to mention our house looked better than we left it). Can't recommend Nancy enough and she will definitely be watching Daisy again in the future!”

“Julia was great! She maintained Ching's normal routine (including lots of walks) and sent lots of pictures every day. She left the apartment in great condition too. Will definitely book Julia again when travelling in the future!”

About: I have lived with cats my whole life and have great attention to detail for them. I am also experienced with dogs of different ages and sizes. The most important thing to me is that your pet is happy and healthy. I am open to any opportunites, I have also taken care of chickens and rabbits. I also can take care of plants and maintain the house if you are away. I am currently not working so I am able to devote a lot of my attention to your beloved pets. I am very flexible and always try to communicate if there is an issue or I don't know something. I am always free on weekdays but I may have limited availability on the weekends. I always take care of the space I am in and try to leave it cleaner than I found it. And of course the pets are the main focus and the center of attention! I am very good at following written instructions and if I have any questions I will always ask.
“Bryan is wonderful! He is warm, caring, responsive, and always reliable. He was even able to stay longer at the last minute due to a delayed flight, which made everything much less stressful. I recommend him to everyone!”

“Jose was a fantastic in-house sitter for my Labrador Retriever, she took to him immediately and he was a great communicator, sending plenty of updates and pics. He left my house neat as a pin, I will definitely utilize his services again!”

“Adele is such a sweetheart! My pup can be super anxious when I go out of town and often won’t eat because of nerves. Adele stayed at my place and made him super comfortable, got him to eat, take his meds, and tired him out with walks. She was easy to communicate with and sent great update pictures!”

Maya was incredible! She went above and beyond taking care of my puppy, Thelma, as she is house training. She also was so considerate and tidy in my home, and even went as far as washing the sheets on the bed and her towel. 10/10 sitter. She also took so many cute pictures and daily updates. Thank you Maya!

Jessica was so easy going and I felt confident leaving my cat in her charge. She house sat for me so my cat would be comfortable with me leaving for 9 days. It seemed like they got along great and my cat was happy when I got home. She took great care of my house and my cat!

Excellent service, looked after the dogs brilliantly, took care of the home, great communication and a lovely, friendly and professional dog and home sitter, just what we were hoping for! Our dogs can be a little nervous and wary, but got on really well with Lindsay.
I gave Anna a pretty difficult task… Her first sit ever with my dog was for two weeks solid while I was overseas, and honestly, she couldn’t have done a better job! She provided regular daily updates that made me feel a lot more comfortable with a new sitter that I would’ve been otherwise, left my house very clean, and all in all was very easy to work with. I will definitely be hoping to use Anna again! She is a rockstar.

Phoebe did a fantastic job with Buster and Bella during our weekend away. She sent pictures multiple times a day, played ball in the yard, gave medicines and administered eye drops. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We will definitely be using her services again!

Rosemary gives our Royal hounds the Royal treatment. We have one who is terribly scared when thunderstorms roll through and she takes extra steps to make him feel as safe and as comfortable as possible. Senior dogs can require extra patience. Rosemary gets that and our senior greyhounds love her for it.

Tegan is an amazing sitter! She stayed in our home with our pups for 3 nights. She was communicative and sent great pictures. We had a issue with our AC during her stay, and we were so appreciative of her flexibility and helpfulness in communicating with maintenance and sharing updates. When we returned, our home was spotless, and our pups were relaxed and stress-free. They clearly enjoyed their time with her!

We adore Linda, and our pets do, too. She's conscientious and thorough and left our house better than she found it! She cares for plants, packages, and mail, too. I know when Linda is housesitting we are in the best hands. She's dependable, communicative, kind, thoughtful, and sends regular updates about our quirky pets. We have a very senior dog, and Linda is sensitive to her needs and neuroses. Linda is our go-to pet care giver, and we will rebook for sure!

Anna is a phenomenal pet sitter! She kept us fully informed, with updates and photos. She was diligent in taking notes about care instructions, followed them, and kept our critters happy and healthy while we were away. We trust her completely and will definitely be using her in the future.
Scar house sitting and taking care of my cat and senior dog makes traveling really easy because I know they’re happy and well taken care of. Scar gives thorough, frequent updates, takes wonderful care of my home, and I trust them completely. Will continue to look at their calendar before considering anyone else!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Druid Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Druid Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Druid Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
