“Koda loved Ryan and they become buds real quick! This was my first time using Rover and leaving Koda with a dog sitter! He sent me updates and lots of pics everyday! Best experience and would rebook with Ryan!”

“Mina was wonderful!! She took such good care of our 2 dogs including one that needed some medical attention. We highly recommend Mina and will be utilizing her services again soon!”

“Jordyn is awesome! She takes such good care of our 2 dogs. She stayed in our house this past weekend to take care of them, and it was such a relief having somebody there that you knew was responsible and loving towards your dogs.”

“Jay is the best! Our puppy, Minnie, absolutely loves him! He is amazing at dealing with my long lists of instructions and he always keeps us in the loop with cute photos and other updates. I would 100% recommend Jay to anyone who is looking for a caring and responsible dog walker or sitter! You and your pup won’t be disappointed.”

“John was a fantastic pet sitter as well as house sitter. This is the first time that I have used a house sitter. I just returned from my trip and the house looks better than when I left it. I will definitely book John again whenever I have to be away from home. I also really appreciate the daily photos/updates that John sent to me. Being an over-protective doggy dad, that helped to put my mind at ease. I could see that Ozzie was being well cared for in my absence.”

“Evie and Icarus had a great time during their sleepover with Nina. She was very attentive to them and very responsive to us. Very happy to rebook with Nina the next time we go out of town.”

“We are new to Rover and we lucked into Maria to take care of our puppy Jojo . Maria is kind , responsible and great with Jojo who is presently a very energetic enthusiastic little girl. We appreciate Maria’s patience and ability to keep Jojo busy I highly recommend Maria”

About: I’m an experienced and caring pet lover who has been around dogs and cats my entire life. Growing up, I regularly cared for pets in my neighborhood and spent much of my high school years pet sitting for local families. I’ve also worked at a pet store, which gave me additional hands-on experience and a strong understanding of pet care, safety, and different animals’ needs. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, including young, energetic dogs who need plenty of exercise and attention, as well as senior dogs with allergies and more specific dietary or care requirements. I understand that every pet is different, and I’m happy to follow their individual routines, medications, feeding schedules, and any special instructions you provide. I work remotely and am able to switch around my schedule to best suit the needs of your pets and work around your schedule . I am able to take care of your pets and follow instructions. One thing I find important is ensuring your pet is still on their set schedule whether that includes potty breaks, crating, etc.
“Linda is the best! This was my first time using Rover and my first time getting a dog/house sitter for my rescue, Duncan. My dog is a sweet but anxious little guy and I was so worried to leave him. Linda gave me updates everyday and went above and beyond taking care of Duncan and spending so much time with him. I was able to enjoy my two week trip so much because I didn’t have to worry. And she left my home cleaner than I left it for her! I will use Linda for as long as she’s dog sitting!”

“Bryan is exceptional from start to finish. He took amazing care of our dog, kept us consistently updated, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s clear he truly cares, and we came home to a happy, well-loved pup who absolutely adores him. Highly recommend!”

“Elizabeth was great! Her main charge, Babycat was well cared for and didn't seem to notice that I was gone. It was comforting knowing Elizabeth was at the house in my absence as the Baby can get a bit stressed when alone for too long. She also took great care of all the plants inside and outside. I got near daily updates with cute photos. All great!”

“I gave Anna a pretty difficult task… Her first sit ever with my dog was for two weeks solid while I was overseas, and honestly, she couldn’t have done a better job! She provided regular daily updates that made me feel a lot more comfortable with a new sitter that I would’ve been otherwise, left my house very clean, and all in all was very easy to work with. I will definitely be hoping to use Anna again! She is a rockstar.”

“Gabriela house sat and watched my 5 month old puppy while I was out of town. She was great! Sent video/photo updates every few hours and was understanding and accommodating of my dogs puppy’s needs and growing pains. She left my house in great condition and my puppy seemed totally fulfilled when I got back!”

“I couldn't recommend Andrea more! She truly cares about her clients / the pups and has an attention to detail that is hard to find. She's been able to accomodate short notice stays and always asks enough questions to be able to give my pups the same experience they would have if I were there myself. I absolutely love all the pics as well. Will continue to use Andrea in the future for any of my pet care needs.”

Sarah was awesome with our boys! Our normal sitter had to cancel last minute, and Sarah didn’t hesitate to help us out- we were so thankful!! Our beagle is very anxious (separation anxiety from mummy) and she did so well with calming him. Our chiweenie is a puppy and filled with that puppy energy — but she balanced them both fantastically. 10/10 recommend Sarah- especially if you have dogs and high maintenance ones at that! 😆

You can tell a wonderful pet/house sitter both by how they interact with you, the state of your home, and your pet’s temperament when you return. Samantha is exceptional. We had a meet-and-greet that made us feel so comfortable, she sent the best updates while we were gone, and we returned to a pristine house and a happy kitty. Look no further if you need care for your fur babies!!

Writing a second review after Claire stayed in our home with our dog Bobbie for almost a full week while we were away! Claire stayed in touch with us every day, sending pictures and updates, which was so reassuring. It was clear that Bobbie was being well taken care of, and our house looked like no one had even been there! We really appreciate Claire and will definitely continue to use her! :)

As always, Linda is just the best! Our dog Penny can get pretty nervous when she is away from us but Linda's place is like a second home to her now. She is well loved and it shows in how excited she is to see Linda and her roommate. Can't say enough great things about her-communication is top notch, she is flexible, just everything we could ask for in a pet sitter.

Elizabeth was great! All great!
Maya was incredible! She went above and beyond taking care of my puppy, Thelma, as she is house training. She also was so considerate and tidy in my home, and even went as far as washing the sheets on the bed and her towel. 10/10 sitter. She also took so many cute pictures and daily updates. Thank you Maya!

Excellent service, looked after the dogs brilliantly, took care of the home, great communication and a lovely, friendly and professional dog and home sitter, just what we were hoping for! Our dogs can be a little nervous and wary, but got on really well with Lindsay.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Druid Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Druid Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Druid Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
