About: I've taken care of house animals for over a decade, working with all types from small dogs and puppies to my very large white lab Drake and a few different cats! I'm comfortable walking, feeding, crating, managing potty breaks, and diffusing stressful situations (I have a dog who was abused as a puppy and struggles with certain new people so I'm no stranger to barking/feelings of threat). While caring for pets in others' homes, the first thing I seek to establish is trust. I get it, I'm a new person invading your pet's space and it's scary! That's why I initially take some time to build rapport through playing and petting, and I start with slow, gentle movements. Once they feel more comfortable around me, my focus shifts to making sure they have all of my attention, everything they need (food, water, clean bed, etc.), and keeping the home a safe space for them while you are away!

Stephanie took perfect care of my house as well -- I arrived home to a clean house, fresh sheets on the bed, and some homemade banana bread! Elizabeth exceeded all expectations. I was lucky enough to book her last minute to watch mine and my neighbor’s dog. She asked a ton of questions prior to sitting for us that showed she really understood dogs and really wanted to make sure she stuck to our typical routine. Both dogs were instantly obsessed with her when she came for a meet and greet. She kept me updated on how the dogs were doing, sent tons of great pictures, and generally just made me feel relaxed about being away from my pup. When I got home, both dogs were relaxed and happy. The house looked even better than how I had left it. I hope to have Elizabeth stay with us again soon!
Jade was just a dream. Exceedingly polite, courteous, warm and friendly, and genuinely loves dogs. She and my energetic hound got along beautifully, and I felt safe and assured that Puck was being cared for. She communicated frequently, sent lots of pics, and left the house neat and clean, even changing the bedding. She's already booked for two more visits, so while I hate potentially missing out on her future availability, I highly recommend her!
