I love animals and honestly consider getting to hang out with someone’s pets one of the best parts of house sitting. I’m patient, attentive, and more than happy to spend plenty of time playing with them, keeping them company, feeding them, and sticking to whatever routine they’re used to. I know every animal has their own personality, so I’m also completely happy giving shy or independent pets their space and letting them warm up to me at their own pace. I’m also an EMT (one of the guys in the ambulance), so I’m used to being responsible, staying calm in unexpected situations, and paying close attention to details. While that obviously doesn’t replace veterinary care, I think those skills carry over really well when someone is trusting me with both their pets and their home.

I’ll treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I’d want someone to give my own. I’m happy to follow whatever feeding, walking, medication, crate, or household routine you normally use rather than changing what your pet is comfortable with. I’ll also keep you updated while you’re away, and I’m always happy to send pictures because I know I’d want the same reassurance if someone else were watching my pets!

Schedule
I’m currently a graduate student taking my classes completely online, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I’m home most of the day studying anyway, which means your pets won’t just get a quick morning and evening visit, they’ll actually have someone around to hang out with them, give them attention, and keep them company throughout the day.
