“Scar jumped in and did a last minute walk for us. They were proactive making sure they knew where to pick our pup up. They communicated well and were on time. Nice pics too. Will book again.”

“Lauren was self sufficient and responsive! She took lots of photos on her walk with our pup, and she provided a great summary of her time with Louis. She provided 10/10 service!”

“Ella was an outstanding dog walker for our pup. She was always prompt, caring, and communicative. She managed to craft unique messages each day, keeping us updated while we traveled, and took great pics. This resulted in worry-free travel for us and a great experience for our senior pup.”

“Jessica was great with our pups! She went above and beyond just their walks, making sure everything was okay when arriving and before leaving. Highly recommend Jessica to help with your pups.”

About: I have taken care of and been best friends with cats and dogs all of my life. Nothing brings me more joy than loving and caring for an animal. I have collaborated with animal rescues on many occasions to provide assistance for needy animals and continue to be an advocate for animals. Pet care is something I am active in doing every day, as an owner of four cats. Every day is about feeding, watering, and litter box maintenance, in addition to plenty of love and attention (which is gladly NON-STOP). My number one priority is animal safety and owner-security. I always am very anxious leaving my animals in the hands of someone I don’t know very well and I can assure you that I will take the task of caring for your pet with the utmost importance.
“Morgan is a true dog lover and such a professional. She is so thorough with her updates every single day. She includes multiple (super cute) pictures of our dogs with details of their time together on walks. She also stays beyond walk time to play fetch with the pups and always makes sure they have water and food before she leaves! Morgan is truly the best and her praises can’t be sung enough. We feel so happy knowing that our dogs are in such loving care with her. You won’t regret choosing Morgan!”

About: I have had two dogs and one cat: an 11-year-old Bichon Frise, a Chihuahua who passed away at 17, and a cat who is now four and a half years old. I got my first dog when I was 11 years old, and from then on, I spent all of my allowance on my pets’ spay/neuter surgeries, routine checkups, treats, and supplements. I have an unusual amount of patience when it comes to animals, because I grew up in a family that truly loves them. I also have a lot of experience caring for very young pets under two months old, as well as experience being around large dogs. My work schedule is three days in the office and two days remote, so I have plenty of time to do the part time job during the week. When I take care of pets, I focus not only on their physical needs, but also on making sure they feel emotionally cared for. I like to keep a regular routine for them every day, including dedicated playtime and treat time. I also often buy them new toys and talk to them about my day, even though they may not fully understand.

About: I am organized and reliable. I have had dogs since I was a little kid, and have experience walking big dogs that pull and little dogs that need breaks. I am currently training for a half marathon and would be happy to take your dog on a short run or long walk! I am able to keep up with crazy puppies or just relax with lazy dogs that need endless petting. I’m currently home for the summer from college. I am taking a summer class online. So, if you want someone to stay at home with your animals while you’re gone, I can take my schoolwork with me and keep them company, as well as lots of play and walk breaks. I am willing to play with dogs outside in a fenced yard or go on a walk with a leash. I am used to opening and closing doors to ensure no dogs try to run.

“Brooke was so considerate to accept my last minute request and also to take care of my pup with much love and care. She also turned on the tv to play bluey for him while leaving him back at the home. She gave him treat after his walk. He was very careful with him and communicated exceptionally all along. She clicks so many pictures to send me as well. I would trust my dog with her anytime.”

“We just love Grace!! Zoey is always so happy when she gets her time in with Grace! She sends me the best pictures and updates regarding their walks! I’d highly recommend her to anyone!!”

“Stacie is awesome! She is reliable, flexible and responsive. She also clearly cares about my dog and I can tell she loves him and treats him well. I highly recommend her!”

“Stephen was responsive and took excellent photos of Sarabi while watching her. He also alerted me of a problem with her treats and was willing to help out with the situation should the solution call for it, which was very much appreciated. Sarabi had a good time with him and was all smiles.”

About: I helped care for my family’s two cats since I was about five years old. One of whom was diabetic and needed insulin shots twice a day, which gave me experience giving injections. I have also volunteered with the Humane Society and helped to care for my neighbors' pets. My family now owns a dog (Juno) and I own a cat (Blue). I am a full-time student at UGA, so my schedule will change every semester. However, I almost always have time for pet care in the afternoons, on the weekends, and for holidays! Just discuss any needs with me and I will let you know what my specific day-to-day schedule is looking like. I engage and play with your pets to keep them entertained while also keeping them well-cared for and safe! I ensure that they enjoy their time with me and I with them.
About: Hi! I’m a medical student at Emory who is new to this app and excited to meet your pet! I used to work at an animal hospital and cared for animals by giving them medications, going on walks, and cleaning up after them. I’m currently in a gap year so have wide availability at all hours of the day, seven days a week. Though I prefer advance notice, I’m also happy to take same-day appointments! I am diligent in following any instructions and preferences at the client’s house, and hold myself to a high standard. I am not available to have pets stay at my home at this time.

Georgia is fantastic. We have a big pup that is a softy and a bit fearful of people. Georgia spent time letting him warm up and now he has no problem going right out the door with her. Finding someone to trust with your loved fur babies can be hard. But you know that they're in good hands with Georgia.

Scar is always reliable, highly communicative, friendly, and amazing with our doggies. I was nervous about whether our younger dog would be ok with someone else walking him, but he’s done great with Scar and is calmer and happier after visits from their friend. Our dogs are always happy to see them and come home from their walks satisfied and happy to get a few treats and pets from Scar. Our neighbor suggested Scar and I’ve since recommended them to another friend. So glad to have a new, reliable pet sitter we like and trust with our babies and our home.

Georga is great and my dogs loved the time and cuddles they spent with her! She was amazing with my timid pup and my very enthusiastic/loud pup. She was awesome about sending updates and playing with both my pups and cats! I really appreciate all the care Georga took of them and I felt great knowing they were with her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
