“John has done such an amazing job taking care of our fur babies! We trust him completely and he has been extremely flexible with our ever-changing schedule. Highly recommend!”
About: I grew up with all kinds of different pets in my life, from birds, to turtles, gerbils, a rabbit and of course cats and dogs. I love animals & I would love to watch your babies for you while you’re away! I’m currently on the hunt for a full time gig. I’m super flexible with feeding times & letting your pets out due to this! I do not watch animals from my own home, but always take the utmost care of the pets I watch, in addition to their owner’s home!
“Ray is always a great dog walker for our large lab. Ray responds quickly and readily to our dog walking needs, which we greatly appreciate. Ray has suggestions on how to help our dog.”
“Talya was truly incredible with my baby Royce! I was nervous about using a dog sitter, especially because my dog is very strong, has lots of energy, and takes a while to get used to some people...but Talya and Royce got along great from the start! She was always timely and sent pictures during walks. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter.”

“Melissa and Jordan are great! They communicate very well and they really do care about your pet! They always go over and beyond- and they have the best attitude. HIghly recomend!”

“Barron was even better with CharliePoo as he’s quite a handful. My dog is very attached to me. However, he was quite comfortable with Barron. Great dog walker. I highly recommend.”

About: I am a dog enthusiast and a walking enthusiast. So naturally, dog-walking is the best of both worlds. As an aspiring dog-mom, I probably follow more dog accounts on social media than people. I am pretty sure golden retrievers are my spirit animal. I am new to the Atlanta area and I am excited to meet all your doggos and puppers. I take great pride in making sure that your dog is safe and happy. I grew up with dogs (Collie & Golden Retriever). During my time in Los Angeles & Chicago, I had the opportunity to dog walk/sit many different breeds of dogs. Dog walking is more than just a job to me - it really brings me a lot of joy to spend time with these rad dogs! I currently mostly work from home and create my own schedule and I also work a couple of afternoons per week at a local boutique. But mostly it’s just working from home at the moment I currently do not host dogs at my apartment. While I am at your home I make sure your dog is always on leash during walks. I usually avoid interacting other dogs while on walks to ensure there are no incidents. I like to ensure that your dog has proper stimulation and feels safe and loved.

“Laurel was so communicative and great with my dog! I loved hearing about everything they got up to during their walk and I got to have a stress-free day at work.”

“Jiayue is amazing! She and her boyfriend take excellent care of our two Aussies! While I was recovering from a hiking injury, they walked Piper & Gypsy for eight days. They were punctual and the dogs loved spending the hour each day with them. Dogs each have their own personality and it takes a special person(s) to understand and adapt to the dog and its eccentricities. Jiayue has an intuitive knowledge of how it works and our dogs love her as a result. Thank you Jiayue!”
“Renee is great! She’s punctual, communicative and my dog loved her at first meet!! She’s been walking my pup for a couple weeks now and we’re already scheduled for more. Highly recommend her! :)”

“Bryan has done an amazing job walking my dog, Moose, while I have to go into the office. He is punctual, a great communicator, and always sends plenty of pup pics during bookings. I highly recommend Bryan for all your pet needs!”

About: I grew up with cats and adopted a rescue dog of my own in 2023. I have also worked at a Dog Daycare facility in Atlanta as a back of house attendant and have cared for every type of dog from a Frenchie to a German Shepard! Through that experience, I have become accustomed to dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperament. I am such a pet person and get along with every animal I meet! I have experience handling and navigating dog obedience and behavioral training, leash reactivity and dog reactivity training. I can handle any walk, long or short, and live a very active lifestyle. Should your dog or cat need an individualized experience, I am happy to provide space for that. I work full time during the week from 9-5. I have plenty of time after work for dog walks and am fully available on the weekends (and certain holidays), to walk, watch or house sit with your pets! I walk my own dog three times each day and live walking distance to the Beltline, quiet side streets, Old Fourth Ward park and the O4W dog park for plenty of exercise! I live in an apartment with my dog Wallaby! I am very attentive and will make sure your pets are fed, watered, and cared for on their schedule - not mine. Whether it’s a walk or house sitting, I will make your pet my top priority and am happy to provide 1-1 individualized attention!
“Thank you for walking him! I loved all the pics you provided as well. It’s not you! we’ve been working on the potty outside but he’s on his own agenda lol i appreciate it! let’s try again tomorrow if you’re free? same time?”

“Ilaria walked Donut twice this week, and I would happily book her again in the future. She arrived on time, walked Donut for a full 30 min, and I came home to a happy dog. Thanks, Ilaria!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Druid Hills
We are so grateful to have found Stephen and he was a joy to work with! He was super responsive, gave wonderful daily reports with the cutest pictures of our little baby having fun on her daily walks. He also gave her a lot of extra attention when back at home after walks, which she loved. Highly recommend!

Nathan came through for me at the very last minute and gave my babygirl what she needed. After losing another pet just days before I really needed someone flexible, trustworthy, and kind. Nathan was just that. I lucked up and he definitely made this transition a bit easier.

Lauren has been amazing with my dog, Chrissy! She is always reliable, on time, and spends quality time with her during every visit. Chrissy absolutely loves her, which says everything. Lauren has also gone above and beyond, helping me out with last-minute house sitting and always being incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. She’s communicative, dependable, and someone I completely trust with my dog. I couldn’t recommend her more for dog walking or pet sitting!

- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
