My name is Laurel and I have been caring for dogs and cats my entire life, but professionally for 14 years (dog walking was my first job, at 13 years old 😊). I have volunteered at animal shelters in multiple states, and taken Dog Behavior courses through the ASU Psychology department and canine behavior lab in addition to my status as an accredited GoodPup Certified Trainer. I am experienced in basic medical care and training techniques and can even teach your cat a few tricks! My cat, Tito, has a whole routine he loves to show off. Animal care is my full-time job and I do not work remotely, but I have a flexible schedule and can usually accommodate animals in need of more frequent care. Safety, trust & environment
Building a relationship and establishing trust with animals is of the utmost importance to me. For this reason, I prefer to have at least one meet and greet with a pet and pet-parent before staying in the home or walking/dropping in on the pet. This also allows you to feel confident we’re a good match :)

Another great set of visits with Laurel! We were gone about 10 days with limited reception some days and I knew I had nothing to worry about. Everyone was happy and healthy when we got back!
Laurel is the BEST!!!!! She has been walking my dog weekly for about 5 months now and am so thankful everyday for her! She is so great with my girl and has gone above and beyond! I have a very anxious girl with pretty specific instructions and Laurel does AMAZING with her! Cannot recommend enough!

Schedule
Currently, I do dog walking, training, behavior consulting, and petsitting full time. Because I build my own schedule, I have plenty of flexibility and time during the day to pay attention to pets and their needs. I have some availability every day with notice. I have a very adaptable schedule and attitude— I know that things come up, so I’m always understanding about last minute shifts, changes, and requests.
