“Maya was AMAZING!! My 13-week-old German Shepherd puppy, Nina, loved her from the moment they met. Taking care of a puppy that young is no small task, and Maya gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She even left my home cleaner than she found it! Maya will absolutely be my go-to whenever I travel. So grateful to have found someone I can trust with my girl ❤️”

“Mariangely was AMAZING with taking care of our pups while we were out of town! She kept us super informed throughout the entire stay, sent multiple pictures and checked in consistently. The dogs loved her even our shy fur baby. We’ve never seen him welcome someone so quickly before. Would book her over and over again. She also left our home spotless! Definitely recommend her services.”

“We had the pleasure of having Emily take care of Philip while we were away, and she did an outstanding job. We came back to a spotless home just as we left it, and most importantly, Philip was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend her!”

“Sahriya is our go to sitter and we’re so grateful to have her! She has open, honest communication and fit us into her schedule when we had to do a last minute request due to work commitments. I can also tell my princess loves to be around her and feels at ease when she’s watching her while we’re at work!”

“Robin is the best. Our dog was all smiles and completely relaxed when we returned home which is saying a lot for our semi anxious senior boy. If you're looking for someone trustworthy and friendly and just delightful, definitely reach out to Robin.”

“Khalima helped me with the booking process, and was so sweet to my 2 cats while I was away! You can tell she really cares for animals, and made me feel very comfortable with her pet sitting for me. As she recognizes cats like routine, she stuck to the feeding instructions every time, as well as regular updates and play time, which i’m sure my cats really appreciated :)”

“This was our first time using Alana to pet sit our sweet baby girl Pepperoni. We can't thank Alana enough for taking the best care of her, sending us tons of updates and photos, and keeping Pepperoni safe and happy. Alana was attentive to the needs of our little girl (who is very shy) and took her on many walks throughout the day! Alana was happy to accommodate Pepperoni and left our house spotless when we got home from 5 days away. 10/10 would recommend!!”

“Gabriela took such good care of our Willow and our home! Willow is reactive and took some time to warm up and through the process she communicated so well and was incredibly understanding and patient! She also sent plenty of pictures to let us know all was going well so we could enjoy our time away!”

“Sherri is very thorough and helps with our dog’s specific needs wonderfully. We trust her to help keep our pets safe while we are out of town and to communicate all details. Thanks Sherri”

About: I've been around animals for most of my life and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I grew up with a family dog who came into my life when I was 7 years old, and helping care for him gave me years of hands-on experience with feeding, walks, playtime, and daily companionship. I also have about a year of experience caring for cats, including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and spending time with them to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I work a flexible hybrid schedule, so my exact availability shifts day to day, but I'm almost always able to make time for drop-ins, walks, or boarding intakes, even on short notice. I'll confirm timing with you as soon as you reach out so we can find a window that works. The only fixed commitment I have is an evening class on Mondays and Wednesdays, so intakes those nights may need to happen earlier in the day, late that night, or the next morning. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live directly next to a park, providing a convenient and enjoyable place for walks, exercise, and outdoor time. Whether your pet enjoys long walks or simply exploring at their own pace, they'll have easy access to a great environment. When caring for your pet, I'll be home the entire time to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. I know every pet has their own routine, so I'll do my best to follow your instructions closely to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'm also happy to send regular updates and photos throughout their stay so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Summer is incredible!!! She goes above and beyond for our pups and even cleans the house before she leaves. Our pups love her so much and so do we! We couldn’t be happier we found her.”

Victoria was AMAZING!! We were gone for 10 days and a little nervous to leave our pup with a new sitter, but Victoria was phenomenal!! She was so informative and sent lots of pictures. Our dog loved her and was so well taken care of and loved. She left our house spotless and nicer than it was when she arrived! She was the best!

My husband & I have booked Girishma (G) multiple times and at this point she is our preferred sitter/walker, as in there is no one else we're looking to book! That should explain how wonderful she is at what she does but in case it doesn't please keep reading. Our two pups are not quite ‘pups’ any more and are actually over the age of 10. They move a bit slower nowadays and have some issues we keep a close watch on. Having them wth G is just about the same as them being with us. This is the type of care and attention she applies to dogs that are in her trusted care - she ensure every direction was followed exactly as we outlined and even sought to go above and beyond for their comfort, and ours. We’ve often dropped our dogs off at boarding facilities previously and received many pictures of them active and happy. This is great, but G’s updates showed us the realistic range of our dog’s temperament, especially at their age. There were playful photos but also many where they were relaxed and comfortable. We never had to guess if they were getting enough rest, being overexerted, or if they’d had a chance to hang out at the park or play for the day. She quickly learned our dogs personalities and adapted her care to them. In emergencies, G makes her best effort to accommodate in impossible situations. No-one ever travels across open water wishing to get stuck in the country they’re in—it’s never happened to us previously, but did happen while they were in G’s care. She made every best effort to continue to care for our dogs and give us a realistic solution until we could figure out alternative arrangements and return home. Having never been in that predicament, we continue to be incredibly grateful for G’s pragmatism and genuine heart for what she does…which brings me to who she is. Even in the few months that we’ve gotten to know her, we can attest to her genuine love and enjoyment for dogs. For her, it’s more than just another booking, she takes care of your dogs (whether it’s a walk or longer booking) as if they are her own. I don’t know any dog owner who drops their dog off and doesn’t hope they’ll receive the same love and attention that they would from you if you could be there. [For the humans that’ll interact with G lol] Overall, G is kind, considerate, and also incredibly friendly which makes checkin/checkout and overall communication with her a breeze. If you’re looking for someone that doesn’t just have “availability” but is also the type of person who you can trust to care for your dog in your absence, Girishma is your person.

Kailee did a fantastic job with in home dog sitting for my 3 dogs. I have a difficult young Belgian Shepherd that is scared of people. Kailee worked with her and had no problems dealing with her. She also had to handle the 4th of July fireworks and big storms with all the dogs and handled it like a pro. The house was clean and she watered the plants.

Nurii was fantastic. I am a bit neurotic and my dog is quite spoiled and Nurii was so accommodating of every request! She sent me multiple daily updates with many photos and videos and was very sweet with my needy, high maintenance Yorkie. I will absolutely book Nurii again. Thank you!!

Carla was great with my two dogs when I was out of town! She was responsive and sent photos and updates while I was gone! She was able to give my dogs medication and keep them on their schedule. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to watch my friends/family’s pets!

We had a wonderful experience with Ling. She took excellent care of our dog for a week and making him feel at home. The regular photos and updates gave us peace of mind, and our dog came home happy, healthy, and relaxed. We really appreciated her kindness, reliability, and attention to our dog's needs. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend.

Brianna did a great job taking care of Mabel and Mango. She sent us lots of pictures and sweet comments to keep us up-to-date. She also did the great job of troubleshooting a medication issue that came up while we were gone. Both of our furry friends seemed to get comfortable with her very quickly, and we will definitely use her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sandy Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sandy Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sandy Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
