“Amanda is truly fabulous! This is my first time navigating a puppy and leaving them with a sitter. She sends so many videos and photos, I have so much peace of mind leaving her with my pup. Highly recommend booking with her!”

“The sitters are very friendly and had plenty of indoor and outdoor space for both play and alone time. My pup was all worn out when I picked him up from daycare, so it seems he had a blast! If your pup is friendly with other dogs, I definitely recommend bringing them here”

“Tracy was so attentive and caring when she watched Coco. She took her on two long walks, kept her on her potty routine, and made her a nice cozy bed in her home. Coco can’t wait to go back!”

“Edward was amazing with my rescue dog, Dunkin. He took care of him the entire day, sent pictures and video updates through the app, and made me feel like my pup was in really good hands. Edward allowed Dunkin to roam freely around the house, didn't mind him getting on furniture, and made the whole experience really easy and stress free. He provides a laid back environment that really allows the dog and the owner to relax and not worry about a thing. I would 100% recommend him and I will definitely be using Edward again!”

“Doug was extremely accommodating with our short notice request and took fantastic care of our treasured pup in a welcoming environment. Multiple walks, pictures and updates. Dingo is awesome too!”

“Megan was great, our dog seems to have had fun with her and came back happy! Communication with Megan was very smooth and friendly. She was flexible with drop off and pick up times. Also kept us updated with pics!”

“Cheeni had the best time with Leighann and Cali!! Leighann sent us lots of pictures and videos throughout the day and she was just as excited to send them as we were to receive them! If you’re thinking of booking Leighann, just do it without a doubt that she is going to take care of your fur baby just as she takes care of her own dog Cali! And Cali is the sweetest friendliest dog your pup will ever meet! :) Thank you so much for taking such good care of Cheeni! We’re lucky to have found you!”

“Chad and Soyun are just awesome. They treated our puppy with so much love. We needed a break from our puppy blues, and they just did what we wanted. They kept our puppy separated from other pets as he was not fully vaccinated. And Soyun had Theo by her side all the time. I will definitely go with them every time we need a break.”

“Highly recommend Vanessa as a sitter! Kelli came for her meet and greet and Vanessa was very attentive. It was obvious she loves animals and Kelli warmed up to her right away. Vanessa responds to texts immediately and is very reliable. We were very happy with her service!!!”

“Second she has watched my pet and she is so understanding. I was late for pick up and she was ok with it. She sent beautiful photos of my dog throughout the day. She took him on long walks and made sure he potty in between. Even though it’s the second time my dog jumped for joy when to approach my car to grab him. He remembered her from just one visit. Highly recommend for dog sitting”

“Kristina was fabulous! A true dog lover. She is very personable, available for any and all questions. Lives in a house with a nice yard for walking pets. She sent us several photos during Christmas morning. This was only Ziggy's second time with a sitter. (8lb. chihuahua). He had a wonderful time playing with another small dog and did not even miss us. He was tired out from all the fun and napped a long time while we traveled home. I would definitely use her again — the best sitter ever! We tipped her in person. ❤️❤️❤️”

“Chang took excellent care of my senior pup. She was attentive, thoughtful, and truly catered to his individual needs. She made sure he was comfortable, got plenty of time outside, and had adequate rest throughout the day. I had to request a same-day schedule change, and she was incredibly accommodating. Her husky is also an absolute sweetheart, and I’m so glad my dog got to spend the day with both Chadni and her wonderful pup. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sandy Springs
Amanda is an amazing sitter. Milo started daycare with a little while ago. She goes above and beyond to make sure your dog is cared for. She literally makes the time to take the pups for walks in small groups. In my experience, most doggy daycares don’t walk the dogs at all. They typically put the dogs in a yard or home and let them play. I was impressed that Amanda actually walked them. She cares for Milo like he’s her own. She’s really a gem of a human. Milo and I thank you ♥️🐶

Melissa was a great communicator, she sent texts messages ,videos & photos of our Jax looking very happy! Jax loved running in her big yard! I’m so happy that Jax was well taken care of. We definitely recommend Melissa and look forward in having her care for Jax in the future:)

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
