“Terry took fabulous care of our cat for over a week while we travelled. She watered our house plants and contacted us with a potential issues in our home, which successfully resolved.”

“Yana was amazing! She was patient with my one trouble child and great with updates and photos. She seems to really understand dogs. I highly recommend her!! Thank you!!”

“Sheena is the best pet sitter we’ve worked with! She ran into a problem and she completely solved it on her own and then just sent us a message to keep us updated. Her pics of our pets are honestly NatGeo worthy and she always gives a detailed update on their health / temperament. She’s my go to!”

“Emily was great. She met with us before we left to establish a relationship and sent us pictures/video updates every time she same over. Our Cane Corso loved her and was really happy. Will definitely be using Emily again next time we need him watched!”

“I’ve used Clara twice now and she’s great! I needed a dog walker last minute and she was able to accommodate. She’s reliable and always comes on time. My fur babies love her!”

About: After having two young kids, I’ve learned how to temporarily block out stress and to-do lists and just be fully in the moment. When I’m with pets, I’m really with them—playing, watching their body language, and giving them my full attention. Pet care is just part of my day. I always start the morning by feeding Miumiu and taking her out for a quick walk. She loves the fresh air and saying hi to people, but now that it’s getting colder, she usually drags me back home pretty fast. In the evenings, after dinner, I take her out for a longer 30-minute walk if the weather’s decent. We also go to Piedmont Dog Park a lot—it’s her favorite place. She gets to run around and play, and I get to hang out with my dog-parent friends, so it’s a win-win. I do my best to keep each pet’s routine as close to normal as possible. They get fed on time, plenty of fresh water, and regular walks or playtime. I pay attention to their habits and moods, and I always follow any special instructions—whether it’s medication, feeding preferences, or little quirks that matter to them. I make sure the environment stays safe, clean, and calm, and I give them lots of attention and cuddles (only if they want them!). They also get enough exercise to stay happy and relaxed. I like to send updates and photos so owners always know how their pets are doing. When I’m in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow their house rules.

About: I have had my own dog for 12 years! I love having pups over and he loves friends. I work from home and take great care of the babies: consistent food, water, tons of soft chewy toys, multiple walks a day, and lots of playing! As long as your pup is friendly and gets along with others, they’re more than welcome! I work from home and have my own dog. He loves friends and company. My dog is not neutered and is 12 years old. He is very loving and friendly. I believe in making the dogs feel comfortable and at ease. We will go out multiple 3+ times a day, walks around the neighborhood, food and water always available, tons of soft chewy toys. I allow the pups on the couch. They’ll be taken care of, always considered, and loved on always.
“I’m so grateful we found Brooke! She agreed to care for our Yuki just 2 days before a need, after another sitter canceled. From the time she walked through our door for the meet and greet our suspicious, 95lb Akita had made a fast friend. Brooke’s gentle and caring demeanor was an instant connection for us. She is clearly an animal lover, responsible and asked thoughtful questions. During the time she provided care she communicated well and left lots of pics. Very reassuring to find someone that we can trust to care for our Bear. Will book her again very soon!”

“Monica was very communicative throughout the process! She was on time for her drop in with my sweet Athena girl 🩷 I’m happy I trusted her with my first Rover drop in.”

About: I have trained my own pet by myself and my experience has improved and expanded due to the fact I use to work at a animal clinic. I know how to do more than the basic feeding and walking such as I can give you tips or give you awareness on a problem your pet had/have. I’m currently working part time and I’m on summer break from college so I have a lot of time available for walking, home visits and even boarding. I’m willing to work with you with any arrangement that will work for the both of us. I live in a apartment complex that provides two doggy parks which I take both of my pets as much as I can. I have no problem with clean pets on my Funiture and if you prefer them to be crated you will need to provide a crate. I keep both of my pets on a food and potty schedule so if you don’t have one already I will use my schedule for your pets as well.

About: Hi! I have fallen in love with volunteering at the CAC shelter the past months and want to spend more time with animals 🐾 I grew up with family dogs (yorkie, maltipoo, & husky) but I currently have a mischievous tuxedo cat! I currently work remotely so as long as there’s wifi I’m good to go for weekdays and weekends! I also can take pets out or play during my breaks. I will follow any instructions given about food, walks, cat quirks, or however you want me to care for your pet. Whatever makes you and them most comfortable!
About: Kobe, my shihtzu of 10 years, survived with a heart murmur before heart failure kicked in. I spent 6 years giving him medication and a decade fighting him to let me brush his hair and clean his paws after walks. He taught me patience and proper animal grooming! I do have a full time job and my off days vary however, I’m usually available before 3pm on most days for pet sitting & walks as well as drop in visits. Feel free to message me and we can work something out as well! I unfortunately cannot care for pets at my home due to the kids I live with, but I am open to pet sitting in your home. I will abide by your house rules & be respectful, all while still making sure your pet is well taken care of.
About: I have had dogs and cats all of my life and cannot imagine my life without them. I have taken care of all of my neighbors pets for the past 10 years and would love to take care of yours. I have two dogs currently who always enjoy extra visitors. I have worked as a nurse for the past 26 years and when I retire I would love to make this a full time job!! Let ME love and take care of your babies!!! I am currently working part time and would be available after 4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and all day on Wednesdays and the weekends. I have a lovely fenced in yard and two of my own babies to keep yours company. I will sit outside with them and love on them as much as they let me!!
About: I've had the joy of growing up with dogs my whole life, and have experience caring for both senior pups and playful puppies. Whether it's a tiny companion or a large breed, I’m comfortable with all sizes. I've been walking dogs since I was 10, so I bring years of hands-on experience and a deep love for dogs of every kind! I recently graduated with my Master in Neuroscience and currently spend my days working from home with the company of my dog Blueberry. My flexible schedule allows us to spend lots of time on walks or going to the dog park. In my care, whether at my home or yours, I prioritize creating a comfortable, safe, and stimulating environment for your pet. I live in close proximity to Piedmont Park and enjoy walks at any time of day!

“Simone is wonderful, she is really patient with one of my little dogs that take time to get comfortable with new people. She is in constant communication and sends pictures how the pups are doing. Thank you!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Danielle! A lifelong dog lover, former Rover boarder, and proud Husky mom to two large (and very strong!) Siberian Huskies. I recently moved to the Atlanta area and, while I no longer have a fenced yard for boarding, I’m excited to offer dog walking and drop-in visits to families who want someone reliable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their pets. Dogs have been a huge part of my life, and I have experience with all types of breeds and personalities — from shy pups who need gentle patience to high-energy dogs who love a good run. If your dog tends to pull, that’s no problem at all, I walk two Huskies daily, so strong leash-handling is second nature to me! I work a typical M-TH/9–5 with evenings and weekends available, and I often have flexibility throughout the day in between meetings and through lunch. With a little advance notice, I’m happy to accommodate special requests that make you and your pet feel comfortable. Most importantly, I’ll treat your home and your pets as if they were my own. I know how much trust it takes to let someone care for your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. You’ll always receive honesty, integrity, a bunch of photos, and lots of love for your pet . I promise they’ll be in great hands! I have a typical 9-5 job with weekends off so I can assist with dog walks or drop in visits in the evenings Monday-Thursday and I’m wide open on Fridays and the weekends! I can work remote and I do have some flexibility and can accommodate special requests with advance notice. I will treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I give my own. I’m big on safety, clear communication, and following your instructions exactly as given. I know how much trust it takes to let someone care for your fur baby, and I don’t take that lightly. You can count on me to be gentle, reliable, and fully focused on your pet’s comfort and well-being.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sandy Springs
Brooke has been a godsend, allowing our nervous senior dog to remain in our home while we’re away. She has been extra helpful- bringing in mail and putting our trash can at the curb without our even asking. We appreciate her prompt communication and her photos and updates. We have peace of mind knowing that our pet and our home are in good hands. Can’t recommend her highly enough!
Daniela has been the perfect sitter for our dogs. She has taken care of them so well and we will totally be getting her back when we need her. If our dog Numan can get warmed up and be excited to see her, that means he trust her and that’s why we trust her with them. Fantastic job and highly recommend.

Yiwen was amazing! Perfect communication, thorough notes were taken during our meet-and-greet before our trip, our boys were happy, safe, and healthy when we returned! She was very willing to add on taking care of our dog as well as our cat. Both required medications and she nailed it all.

Laura was extremely helpful, professional and cared for our sweet boy, Duke, with ease and no issues. She was caring, gave us informative updates and sent many pictures so we knew exactly how Duke was doing while we were away for work travel. This was the first time that Duke spent a couple of nights at home by himself so Laura made sure to arrive in the mornings earlier than her scheduled time to ensure Duke never felt forgotten. We highly recommend Laura and would book her over and over again!

Sheena is the best pet sitter we’ve worked with! She ran into a problem and she completely solved it on her own and then just sent us a message to keep us updated. Her pics of our pets are honestly NatGeo worthy and she always gives a detailed update on their health / temperament. She’s my go to!

Geena was absolutely amazing while taking care of my dog while I was out of town. From the very beginning, she was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. She made sure my dog was well-fed, exercised, and comfortable, and I could tell she treated him like her own. What really stood out was the peace of mind she gave me. Being away from my dog can be stressful, but Geena kept me updated and made sure everything was going smoothly. It was clear that my dog felt safe and happy in her care. I truly appreciate the level of attention and kindness she showed, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again in the future. I highly recommend Geena to anyone looking for someone dependable and compassionate to care for their pet.

Lolly is a fantastic dog walker! Highly recommend. She checked in on our pug multiple times a week until she had to move. Consider yourself lucky if she is in your area now! Lolly is very communicative, committed and kind. We could tell that our dog really loved the time she spent with Lolly and hope to find another person just like Lolly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
