“Hongyang is very kind, responsible, and genuinely loves animals. She is someone you can trust with your home and pet. She was able to handle my 'senior citizen' cat with no issues. I am happy to be another one of her clients happily leaving a 5-star review!”

“Maura did a great job watching my girls! She responded quickly and she cared for my girls like they were hers. I felt very comfortable being away for my girls. I am definitely booking with her again soon!”

About: I have been caring for dogs since childhood. I ran a neighborhood dog-sitting business that cared for over 4 dogs a week. I currently love my family dogs: the feisty corgi and the loving german shepherd. I have been relied on to feed, groom, walk, and care for pets for years. I am a recent medical school graduate who has been taking care of healthcare patients and dogs for several years. I have been trusted with pets, children, and adults for years, but animals have a special place in my heart. My first dog lived for over 12 years, so I do have experience with older dogs as well. I am currently working as a dog-sitter full-time. I am free to take your doggies anywhere you would like in the area. I currently live next to a dog-friendly park and am also free to take your dog even for just a few hours. Whenever you need me, I am there! Caring for your pets at your home is fully up to your discretion. I have offered this at my previous dog-sitting business and it worked amazingly. I can come in to check on your doggie at any time or stay in house. I am very flexible and a great listener to instructions.
“It was an easy adjustment to leave my dogs at home with Katelyn while she stayed at our house. She cleaned up after herself and I was happy to receive all the updates while we were away. I’ve already rebooked her!”

“Khadijah was absolutely phenomenal! Leaving you pet with someone new can rattle the nerves but I felt so comfortable with Khadijah watching my pup. She provided great updates and wonderful pictures. She also responded at any point I messaged her promptly. I’d highly recommend Khadijah for your pet services.”

“Alana was awesome with Marvin! He’s dog reactive and has tummy troubles (GSD) which make him sometimes not want to eat. She patiently worked through it with him and kept me updated, kept in mind the hot weather and he’s a double-coated dog and he might poop out pretty quickly. My flight was delayed bringing me back home at 2am instead of 11pm and she even changed the sheets so I didn’t have to when I got there. Marvin was clearly calm and happy when I returned, the house looked cleaner than when I left it, and best of all Marvin was in great spirits. Thanks Alana!”

“Paige did a great job taking care of our Golden. She was super responsive and communicated often, with updates and photos. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog and our home in her care.”

“Lydia, stayed in our house with our cat for a week, while we were on vacation! She is very friendly and took excellent care of our fur baby. She also left the house in a very nice way!”

“As Alia was a perfect overnight dog sitter. Our pups loved her and felt safe with her care. She went above and beyond with feeding, playtime, and keeping them happy while we were away for a two week trip. Even when a medical emergency arose, she acted quickly and was able to get our dog care without hesitation. I would recommend her to anyone. She’s one of the best sitters we’ve had!”
“Valarie took excellent care of our 2 dogs and home, while we traveled out of the country for 2 weeks. It’s such a relief to have a sitter as reliable, kind and caring as Valarie,”

“Camila did such a great job, I will definitely be a repeat client. She was my my puppy all day at my home, and she kept me well informed with plenty off updates, pictures, and videos.”

“I had a good first experience with my Chelsey. She was very patient and present with Chima, especially since it was their first time meeting. My kitten can be a bit shy at first, but she took her time, stayed in the room with her, and gave her a lot of attention, which really helped Chima start to open up. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, which made me feel more at ease.”

“Rebekah and her daughter took good care of our dogs while we were away from home. They sent daily pictures and updates, which I appreciated. The house was well cared for also. My dogs have allergies and, therefore, challenging feeding routines, but Rebekah followed the instructions faithfully. She walked the dogs as well. I’d be very happy to have her take care of our home and dogs again. She even did the dishes and washed all the bedding for us!”

“We booked Jamie to stay with our dog, Piper, for a full week over a holiday. From meet & greet to final checkout, Jamie communicated clearly and proactively. We got photo/video updates every day and came home to a happy pup in a clean, tidy house. I'd recommend Jamie for housesitting!”

“Kamille is amazing my Milo was so happy! She kept me so informed with daily photos and videos. She made sure he was comfortable in our home! She gave him a lot of love for 10 days. I will use Kamille again she's amazing! Highly recommend her !!”

“Gabriela took such good care of our Willow and our home! Willow is reactive and took some time to warm up and through the process she communicated so well and was incredibly understanding and patient! She also sent plenty of pictures to let us know all was going well so we could enjoy our time away!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Vinings
So grateful for Sha’Pri and the excellent care she took of Ari & Boss in our home! She had such calm energy and patience, the dogs were instantly at ease with her. She was understanding of their needs and went the extra mile to meet them where they are: a slow moving senior gal and a terrified-of-fireworks guy (on 4th of July). Her care gave us all peace of mind. We would happily book Sha’Pri again!

Jayne stayed at our house with our 2 dogs while we went to visit my sister for a few days. I could tell my girls were in great hands already when she came over for a meet and greet a few weeks before, and I was not disappointed. She was punctual, communicative, and sent plenty of great pics and even a couple of videos. My girls are very anxious during storms, and it happened to be a super stormy couple of days — Jayne was so kind and patient with my scared babies and kept me updated throughout. I could not ask for better peace of mind and will certainly book with her again in the future.

We had a wonderful experience with Beth! She stayed at our home while we were away and took excellent care of our dogs and our house. Communication was outstanding throughout the entire stay-she sent frequent updates and lots of photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were traveling. When we returned home, everything was just as we left it, and our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter.
Rebecca went above and beyond for Lucy when she pet sit at my house. She worked on training her which was incredible!! She also took Lucy to the vet when she was sick and cared for her like her own. Rebecca also sent videos, updates, and instructions on how to keep her training up. I will be recommending Rebecca to all my dog parent friends!!

Alana stayed at our home to watch our 2 pups and cat. She was fantastic. From the time that I reached out until after the visit, she communicated every step of the way. She sent pics the entire time we were away. She’s very conscientious and caring… I never worried the entire time. And, I came back to happy pups and a happy kitty because they were so well cared for. Thanks Alana!

McKenna did a great job pet sitting for my Dog Lucy and Cat Leo! She followed my instructions well and reached out with any questions she had. She was very attentive with both animals making sure she was caring for them the best she can! I came home from a long vacation and felt like they were very happy and loved for while I was gone. Additionally she said over my apt some and was very clean! Will book McKenna again for future pet sitting!

Megan was excellent in house sitting our two 9 month old kittens. She was very attentive to their needs and went out of her way to take care of them like her own. She was also super communicative and made sure to clarify things with us. She even sent their pics to us on a daily basis. The kittens seem healthy, happy and well taken care. Will definitely be rebooking Megan for future house sitting.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Vinings walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Vinings maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Vinings choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
