“Hannah was great with our puppy. Got her exercised and fed while we were out. Our puppy had a little fear of me people, but Hannah won her over right away and was able to win her over easily.”

“Ryleigh went above and beyond with our little Chihuahua Stella. She was a great communicator and very respectful of our home. She made sure to lock up and take care of any details along the way. If she is available in the future, we will certainly be reaching out.”

About: I’ve been with dogs and loved them since I can remember and I have had two of my own. I love spending time taking care of them, playing with them, feeding them, etc. If anything this is more of a joy to take care of them! :D I am very much available except for weekdays from 9:30-1:30 due to college classes. Other than that I am more than happy to watch your pet, check in on them, or take them for a walk. Unfortunately I can not house them due to my relative being slightly allergic. I have no concern doing anything asked for dogs even if it’s a strict schedule or routine. I know how some dogs need strict routines for example with feeding.
“Natalia loves dogs! I could tell since the first day she met Elvis. She has been very responsible with Elvis Walking schedule, always on time, very communicative and very respectful when inside our house. I can tell Elvis loves his walks with her. Thank you so much Natalia for all your help with Elvis!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner myself for 9 years. I have raised a few breeds of dogs including a Bull Mastiff, Mini English Bulldog, and I’m currently raising a Coton! I also recently adopted my first cat! I find pet sitting to be very important, they are just as vital as human babies and I always go all out for my babies or any under my care. I would love to get to know you and your fur babies! I update my schedule weekly! I am a part time esthetician and my off days are sundays, mondays, wednesdays and thursdays. However, my partner is always home helping out with our own fur babies! you may travel to me so that I may watch your dogs/cats! This is what I prefer but if you need transportation for your dog we can discuss! I’m very courteous of others personal spaces and respect is non-negotiable for me!
About: Since I’ve been caring for dogs for some years I have become very passionate about making the pet and their parent comfortable and happy. I am attentive, honest, and your pup might be spoiled when you get them back. In my home I have a full living room open for your dog to play if they have a lot of energy or want to be alone, and your pet will have plenty of access to me if they have separation anxiety. I do have a crate in home for puppy use. I also do crate training, potty training, leash training, and I can apply or give medication to pups who may need. Thank you for considering as your sitter! I am in college, but I have a flexible schedule since I take classes online. I always update my calendar in advance and make plans accordingly. I have 1 crate I use for puppies who stay overnight. There are also two dog parks in my apartment complex for some fresh air and play time with a fence.
“Jessica has been walking my pup for the last few months and has been amazing! She always fills out the Rover card thoroughly and handles my very excitable dog well. 100% recommend!”

About: I had a dog some years ago who passed away. I truly love him as he was apart of my family. I also grew up with cats, a parrot & a turtle. I currently do not have a dog but truly enjoy spending time around them when I can. Animals are a joy to experience. Im currently working part time from home so I have a ton of time to play, feed & walk furry friends! I live near a dog park & a great walking trail for long walks! I have a designated sleep space & bowls for food. Its a quiet environment if your dog is a bit anxious. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

“Sydney was amazingly communicative and handled my dog with care respect and compassion! Will definitely be using her again. Very reliable, attentive, and easy to work with too. I really felt safe & secure receiving all of her timely updates and pictures like I was right there with them :) Thank you Sydney.”

“Marcus was great! He did everything we asked of him and he was so kind to our dog. He even stayed to hang out with him for a little bit after the walk. Great dog sitter”

“Hailey has been Maya's walker for some time now and she is absolutely amazing! She has an awesome attention to detail and regard for both Maya and our home. Thank you for all that you do!”

About: What sets me apart is that I am not just a sitter, I am a dog mom myself. I currently have a puppy at home, so I am actively learning, training, and supporting a dog through every new stage. I understand potty training, crate routines, teething, leash work, socialization, and managing all the big feelings that come with growing up. I have patience, structure, and a calm presence that helps pups feel secure. I also live with and care for an adult dog, so I know how to support more mature pups as well. Adult dogs often have different needs than puppies, whether that is mental enrichment, slow paced walks, or just steady company. I adjust my care based on age, personality, and comfort levels so every dog feels understood and respected. Because I work with my own dogs daily, I understand how much consistency, routine, and love matter. I take time to learn what your dog enjoys, what comforts them, and what keeps them happy and relaxed. My goal is always to treat your fur baby the same way I treat mine. Whether your dog is young and curious or grown and wise, I am prepared to meet them where they are and provide care that makes them feel safe, stimulated, and loved. Pet care fits into my routine naturally because I already care for my own dogs every day. Feeding, walks, training time, and enrichment are part of my regular schedule, so adding another pup into that flow feels easy and intentional. I am a law student in my final year, which means my schedule is much more flexible now. I am usually available in the mornings and evenings on weekdays, and I have even more availability on weekends for longer walks, park trips, or extra attention. Since I already build pet care into my daily routine, it is simple for me to adjust to your dog’s needs. Whether your pup needs structured activity or a calm companion to relax with, I can create the routine that keeps them comfortable and cared for. When I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my first priority is comfort, safety, and keeping their routine as familiar as possible. Every dog is different, so I take time to learn their schedule, feeding habits, potty timing, sleep preferences, and energy levels. If your dog is used to morning walks, enrichment time, or cuddles before bed, I keep that rhythm the same so they feel secure. In my home, dogs get walks in the morning and evening, plenty of play and sniff time throughout the day, and a cozy space to relax when they want downtime. I keep water fresh, rotate toys for enrichment, and provide a calm environment that feels like a second home. I supervise closely, especially during introductions and transitions, and I give dogs the space they need to settle in and feel comfortable. If I am in your home, I follow your rules fully. I respect boundaries, furniture rules, crate expectations, feeding instructions, and any training you are currently working on. I clean up after pets, monitor behavior, and make sure your home is treated with care. I send updates, pictures, and check-ins regularly so you always know how your pup is doing. My goal is always the same. I treat your pet the way I treat mine, with attention, patience, love, and routine. Whether you prefer in-home care or care in your home, your dog will be safe, understood, and well loved.
“Heather is great! While we had an issue with the keyless entry, Heather was diligent about determining how to get in so she could complete the walk with Katie. I appreciate all that she did to make sure that Katie was taken care of for me. I would highly recommend her!!!”

About: Hi! My name is Marie, and I am a lifelong animal lover and proud dog mom who raised and trained my own puppy while balancing life as a Division I athlete in college. Through that experience, I learned the importance of patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or extra cuddles, I’ll treat them like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. 🐾 I am currently waiting to start my full-time corporate position and am fully available for the next week and a half! My schedule can include early morning, afternoon and evening drop-ins. I am also available for longer check-ins and/or house-sitting! I live in a pet-friendly apartment with my well-trained dog, so I understand the importance of maintaining a safe, clean, and structured environment for pets. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping owners updated with photos and messages for peace of mind. My goal is to help every pet feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while their family is away.
“Ms. Emily is Phoebe's new bestie! When l started looking for a walker I knew I needed someone with patience and extra TLC for my 1 year old puppy! Phoebe's got high energy and is still working through some fears with the goal of improving and perfecting her loose leash walking and socialization skills. After sharing these details with Emily she jumped right in with suggestions and other tips to consider. She's been on time, caring and always provides great communication but what I love the most is now I 100% feel Emily and I are jointly working TOGETHER and tag teaming our own skills to get Phoebe through her zoomie puppy days with ease. We look forward to more walks with Emily and building a bond with her to set us up nicely in scheduling overnights when I may travel. Thank you, Emily, for your help, doggy skills and experience and of course, your fur kid friendship!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Vinings
Sarah was a phenomenal dog sitter! She is friendly and professional. My baby absolutely loved her. She went above and beyond my standards. This was my first trip without my dog and she was polite enough to answer all my questions, send me pictures and videos. She also played with him/spent time with him so he wouldn’t be stuck bored in the cage/house alone. She is easily 10/5 star candidate! If you’re looking for a trusted sitter , choose Sarah! (:

Alana is not only an amazing dog walker (my dog is obsessed with her!). But she’s also an amazing human. I often foster dogs, and many of them can be very nervous and require specific instructions or often times, just have to figure it out as we go. But Alana is always willing to help out and test and learn on what works and what doesn’t for our fosters. She follows instructions well and is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure our fosters feel comfortable with her. It can be often chaotic with a new foster and a new routine, but she handles it with calmness and grace and I wouldn’t be able to foster dogs if it wasn’t for her! Thank you Alana for your help not only with my own dog, but helping the community as well by taking care of my foster dogs!!!

Carlos and Paula G were wonderful. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. My dog loved them both. They kept me informed during their walks and they spent time with him after each walk. Thanks again for accepting my service request last minute and helping us out.

Sophia was great! She walked our two dogs — a 70 lb Labradoodle and a 50 lb Border Collie/Poodle mix — and handled them both confidently and with ease. They can be a handful together, but she clearly has experience with larger, high-energy dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and sent updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away. The dogs came back happy and well exercised. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
