About: Hi. I'm Grant and I am a retired high school Drama teacher and now stay at home full-time. I have a great dog-friendly home with an awesome fenced backyard and love animals. I am switching from being a Rover client to being a sitter now. I lost my two beloved Chocolate Labs to old age in 2018 and really miss having dogs around. I would love the chance to host your pups. I would like to also take your dog for walks while they are staying with me. I live in a wonderfully quiet and wooded neighborhood here in the Marietta Historic District. Feel free to call or message with any questions or to set up a meet and greet. I hope to meet you and your furry loved ones! FYI: -My wife and I love pit bulls! The ones we’ve had have been some of the sweetest animals we’ve kept. -I only work with one owner at a time, so your pet would not be around dogs from other households while in my care. -If you are experiencing unemployment please inquire about sliding scale rates for my services. I am retired. When I have a dog boarding I try not to leave them alone at all or for less that three hours at a time. I have a great 6-8 foot wooden fence around all of my backyard. Dogs are always monitored actively in the backyard and are not left alone there at any time.
About: I have been a dog and cat sitter for years, and love providing great care for your pets. My entire family has Boston terriers, so they’re my favorites! I work from home most days, so I love to get out from my house and my desk for a bit for a change of scenery. You can trust me to take great care of your dogs and cats, and treat your home with the utmost respect while I am there.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fair Oaks
Absolutely amazing!! Tonya was so wonderful with my very stubborn, large dog when I had to leave him with my elderly parents for two weeks. She took him on his nightly long walk to get his exercise and he loved her! Tonya was also so kind to my parents when she picked him up and dropped him off each evening. I was able to enjoy my trip because I knew my pup was well taken care of! I cannot say enough great things about her!

Tamera did a great job helping to take care of my dog while I was away on vacation! She was prompt for taking him on walks each day and gave a detailed review of how the walk went. She was very kind and professional. Will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you so much, Tamera!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
