About: I volunteered at animal shelters throughout high school and college and have had my own dogs throughout my life. I also have formal education in behavior modification so I know a thing or two about training animals. I’m currently mom to a 3-year old Shiba Inu named Shuri and we work hard on her skills every day. I’d love to meet your fur baby. Let’s chat and see if I’m a good fit for you and your furry one! I’m a full-time gig worker, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for your pet. I typically don’t pet sit on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but we can discuss exceptions if you need to! I don’t care for pets in my home currently as I live in a home with two dogs who are just getting to know each other, but I will take care to follow any instructions you provide for caring for your pet in your home. I have over 20 years of childcare, pet care, and other care and responsibility experiences. Tell me what you’d like to happen and I’ll be happy to discuss it with you!
About: I have taken care of animals for many years, and love spending time with them! I recognize that every pet has their own personality, needs, and schedules, and I am comfortable meeting them where they’re at. Whether that’s lots of playtime and long walks or more subtle play time and a quieter environment, I don't mind adapting! I would be more than happy to take them to the dog park, on walks, or play at home, and I will dedicate my time to making them feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. I am currently home full time and am available for drop-ins or house check-ins as needed! I am also pretty flexible and am happy to work with your scheduling needs. I base my care on you and your pet’s usual routine including schedules, preferred walk spots, etc. I like to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible by not disrupting what is familiar to them.
“Genevieve was awesome! She was on time, quick to respond and pays attention to the details and little things that matter! She sent pictures and made Reese feel loved and safe! I hope we can have Genevieve back again!”

“Shannon is extremely reliable and communicative for both drop in visits and walks. I have used her to take care of my 13 year old Corgi for both weekday visits while I am at work, as well as multiple visits per day while I am out of town. I highly recommend Shannon”

“Superb dog walking! We appreciate all the walks you’ve done for Noodles- especially considering how hot it’s been outside. We know our dog is being well taken care of with you. .”

“Alana has been amazing with my dog Birdie every day over the past few weeks as I’ve been injured and couldn’t walk. She’s also walked my foster dog previously as well! Alana is punctual, she sends great updates, she’s so kind, and you can tell she has a love for animals — and you can tell my dog loves her too! Looking forward to future dog walking services with Alana and would highly recommend her to care for your pets!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 6. I used to live on a farm and be responsible for feeding and watching over goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and bunnies. I do have a part time job, but my schedule will be very very consistent and I will definitely make time for making them happy. I have a designated cat room with 2 extra rooms for them to explore. There’s 3 beds, a couch, toys, water, and food of course.
“Week one walking with Shanese and she is wonderful! Her energy is so infectious, whether it's midday or 7:30am. She is an excellent communicator and manages time wonderfully. What a breath of fresh air.”

About: As a dog mom myself, I understand how important it is to have someone you can truly trust with your fur baby. I have years of experience caring for dogs and currently have my own Mini Goldendoodle, Aritzia, who is very loved and spoiled! I’m hands-on with everything from feeding and walks to playtime, grooming, training routines, vet appointments, and lots of affection. I’m patient, attentive, and pay close attention to each dog’s personality and needs. I’ll care for your pet with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Pet care is already a natural part of my everyday routine because I have my own dog, Aritzia. My days already include walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention, so welcoming another fur baby into my routine comes naturally. I’m flexible and will make sure your pet’s individual schedule and needs are followed as closely as possible. I know how nerve-racking it can be to leave your fur baby with someone new, so their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, comfortable, and loving environment where your pup will be treated like family. I carefully follow all feeding, walking, medication, crate, and special-care instructions provided by pet parents. I’m attentive to behavior and will never force interactions if a dog needs time to adjust. Your pup will receive the same patience, protection, and love I give my own dog, Aritzia. ❤️🐾
“Stephanie has been wonderful and patient with our dogs, one of whom is vision-impaired and scared of strangers. We're so excited to have found such a professional - she's a gem!”

About: Your dog will be in great hands with me. I love to take walks, if possible on trails. My big dogs get me pumped with ball and frisbee throw, and I always include the smaller dogs with some fetch. When things wind down I’m all about a nice rub down. I believe all dogs need a nice balance of upbeat moments, as well as some mellow moments. So, depending on length of stay, I like to include “nap time”. It’s a perfect time for the dogs to settle down and listen to some calming music and just relax. I have found these things to be very effective with my own dogs. They love every bit of it and can’t get enough! I have a flexible schedule which allows me to be with your baby more if needed. Open to caring for your baby most weekends and holidays. I have a fenced yard and a lot of space. My dog Marley will also be great company for your little baby. This is a very safe environment.
About: I have cared for my 3 month old puppy for 4 years. I have also cared for my older dog previously having to administer medications and other treatments. I work fully remote full time. I have my own car to travel as far as needed. I work out early in the morning the rest of the time. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment that has a dog park. I am home during the day for walks, treats and love. The second bedroom has space for a crate if needed.
“Kennedy was amazing with our 2 chihuhua-mixes! She went above and beyond with her communication and care. Will definitely be reaching out again when we need someone to walk/care for our 2 pups.”

I am currently focusing full time on pet (dog or cat) care! I am available Sunday through Sunday to care for your needs as well as your furry friend or friends! About: I love what I do, am CPR certified, and know how to swim. I'm very attentive and caring. I am also family oriented and personable. I am very ambitious as well. My mom worked at a Veterinarian office for years and inspired me to pet sit. I also work at a doggy day care :)! I love watching after pups and getting to know them! Pet sitting is a part of my everyday life, I have pets of my own. My goal is to provide quality service every day for my customers and parents. I am aware of my surrondings; three veterinarians are nearby, and My backyard is fenced in. I have both types of leashes for walking to ensure the dog's safety. I am flexible and willing to compromise to make changes according to the dog's needs.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Adamsville
Zaria was wonderful with Meg! She walked her twice and was very reliable, kind, and caring. Unfortunately, she’s no longer available during lunchtime, but Meg will definitely miss her. We really appreciated her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their dog. ❤️🐾

Shannon has been our regular weekly dog walker for over a year now and is absolutely incredible. Completely reliable, highly communicative, and meticulous about ensuring the pups get their meds. Our girls absolutely love her and her dependability means I can be flying around the country or downtown in a high stakes meeting with no worry that she'll complete a walk as scheduled or that our babies will receive absolutely stellar care. Could not possibly recommend more highly. A+++

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
