“Jackie is wonderful. She not only took my little guy for a walk but cleaned up his sleeping area when he wasn’t feeling well. She even took on this task last minute. I’m so appreciative of her!!”

“Lori has been walking my dog for about a week while I am in a walking boot and she is so great! She is always on time and is very communicative. My dog absolutely loves her and has been anticipating her visits on the days she is scheduled (he starts looking out of the window when it is close to time for her to come).”

About: I've been caring for pets for over 10 years — dogs and cats belonging to friends and family who trust me completely, and that trust means everything to me. What makes my care different is that it's never one-size-fits-all. If your dog lives for walks, we walk. If they're all about the ball, we play. If they just want to curl up next to someone, I'm right there. Every pet gets care shaped around who they are, not a standard routine. My home is child-free and pet-free, so your baby isn't competing for attention — they are the focus of my entire day. And when you pick them up? They'll be freshly bathed, happy, and ready to go home. Baths are always on me. PLEASE NOTE: I can board up to 4 pets from the same family at one time, as the pets all know each other. I do not take multiple pets from different families to board at the same time. It's often stressful for the animals and I don't get to enjoy your pet if he is stressed out by strange animals. My home is child-free and animal-free, which means your pet gets a calm, quiet environment with zero stress from other animals and no chaotic energy. They are the sole focus of my day. IMPORTANT: I only take pets from one family at a time. I want to enjoy your dog. For dogs: I follow your routine to the letter — feeding times, walk schedule, medications, treats, favorite spots. I ease new guests in gently because I know the first few hours matter most. If your dog loves walks, we walk. If they're a ball dog, we play. They get care shaped around who they are, not a generic routine. Every dog goes home with a complimentary bath so they're clean, happy, and ready to see you. For cats: I understand cats aren't small dogs — they need something completely different. I give them a safe, quiet space to settle in at their own pace, no forcing interaction. I read their cues — whether they want lap time, window watching, or just a calm human nearby. Litter box hygiene is spotless and non-negotiable. I'm very careful about doors, windows, and escape points so your indoor cat stays safely indoors. For all pets: I monitor eating and behavior closely and flag anything off straight away. You'll get regular photo and video updates — as many or as few as you'd like. I've been caring for pets for over 10 years for people who trust me like family, and I take that trust seriously. My goal is simple: your baby comes home calm, happy, and exactly themselves. I do have a fenced yard but do not allow dogs to go out alone unsupervised. I enjoy walking dogs and will keep the routine that you have with your dog. I only take cats and dogs at the same time from the same family. I will always confirm any animal is up to date with vaccines and flea treatments first.

“Sherry is very reliable and was a huge help while I worked away from home. I was confident that I was leaving my dog in good care and she was great with communication. I highly recommend her!”
“Jessica is stellar! She takes great care of my little dog Tod. Punctual and replies quickly. Thorough in her walk card descriptions and and takes cute pics of the pets. Thanks Jessica!”

About: Hi! I’m Antonio, and I’ve had dogs for all 29 years of my life. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve always loved. My best friend is Boss, my 6-year-old Pit Bull. Raising him has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every dog has their own personality and needs. I’m returning to Rover after taking a few years away, and this time my goal is different. I’m building a professional pet care business that I plan to grow into my full-time career. That means every booking matters, and every dog in my care is treated like family. My home offers plenty of space for dogs to feel comfortable, and I have a large yard where they can safely enjoy supervised playtime, exercise, and fresh air. Whether your pup is here for daycare, overnight boarding, a walk, or a drop-in visit, they’ll receive plenty of attention, affection, and care. I know how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone else, so communication is a priority. I’ll send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and having a great time. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. My mornings begin after I drop my son off at preschool, giving me plenty of time throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and one-on-one attention. In the afternoons, I’m away for about two hours while coaching football nearby, but I’m less than 10 minutes from home and plan my schedule to ensure every dog is comfortable and well cared for before and after practice. My evenings are dedicated to spending time with the dogs in my care, making sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and a consistent routine. I take pet care seriously and make it a priority every day. I provide every dog with the same level of care and attention that I give my own dog, Boss. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. In my home, dogs have plenty of space to relax indoors and enjoy supervised time in my large yard. I make sure they always have fresh water, a clean environment, lots of attention, and a safe, comfortable place to rest. I never leave dogs unattended outside, and I monitor interactions carefully to ensure everyone stays safe and happy. For drop-in visits and walks, I respect my clients’ homes while making sure their pets receive the care, exercise, affection, and companionship they need. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so owners can feel confident that their pets are being well cared for.

I’m confident with basic puppy training like leash walking and reinforcing commands, and I also provide gentle senior care, including medication support and mobility assistance. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special needs to make sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. I’m flexible with mornings, evenings, and weekends, which allows me to maintain pets’ regular routines and provide dependable care whether it’s daily check-ins or extended stays. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, so I make it a priority in my schedule rather than an afterthought. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. I always follow the pet’s usual routine, rules, and instructions to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure the environment is clean, calm, and pet-safe by removing hazards, securing doors and gates, and supervising pets at all times. About: I’ve had a dog since a child, but about 5 years ago I began volunteering taking care of puppies at a local rescue in Nashville. From there, I adopted my first dog Carmelo, who I had for two years before epilepsy unfortunately shortened his life. After I healed, I began fostering dogs of all ages, mostly older just due to the need being higher. I found I have such a strong love for dogs that most don’t even reach. I wanted to be able to love old dogs who needed homes in their last days so I adopted Peppa who stayed with me until cancer won the fight. I still occasionally foster but since losing my full-time job, I have had to move to this side of things. I have pretty open availability right now. I am open for overnights. If I am able to go do some delivery for a few hours in between, that is so helpful. I follow directions to a T whether inside or out of the clients home. Providing the dog comfort, safety and familiarity is my top priority. I am not trying to raise or train your dogs. I just want to let them know that when you’re gone, they are always in good hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
