About: Hello and welcome! I'm Heather, but I go by Xel (pronounced •zel•) and it's nice to meet you! I have owned more dogs and cats (as well as a ferret, lizard, fish, and a spider and have handled various others) than I can count through the years (I'm almost 40 and we've had a LOT!). Everything from domestic shorthair to Bengal-mix and Schnauzers to German Shepherds. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. I'm HIGHLY flexible, so if you would like to know more, feel free to reach out! If you've made it this far, have a lovely day! ♡ I'm available at a moments' notice the majority of the time! This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. As long as there is clear communication, I'll do my best to aid in any situation, even if it's within the hour! ♡ For our own cats, our oldest, Max, has to be fed separately from the others, as he needs a higher calorie diet than the others. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions! About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals for a long time, I am currently a volunteer at a shelter, I really like animals and I enjoy taking care of them and their company. I have an 10-year-old Chihuahua dog that accompanies me on every trip I take with my husband, we do not have children. About: •Dog walking: I have two energetic Labrador Retrievers . Saying so I have great patience with being pulled to smell plants or even the excitement of seeing other people being pulled. So while away you can be comforted knowing your dog isn’t being jerked or punished for just being a dog. They’ll have enough time to get some of that crazy or little energy they do have. So when you arrive home you can smile knowing they got a little adventure out of their day. •Dog sitting/Check-ins: It’s nerve wrecking trusting someone with your best friend. Having my own two dogs I would treat your baby with highest quality of care. Plenty of bathroom breaks, with time to get a breath of fresh air from being inside. Time devoted for playtime to keep your best friend busy so there will be little time for any accidents. I am currently work from home full-time with extra time in-between my schedule. I have plenty of time to do drop in visits to give your fur babies the care they need. So your time apart is less stressful on you and as well as them while missing you. Care in client home: You are trusting me to come into your home and take care of your loved one. I will give your pet the upmost respect and love you’d give. I know personally how stressful it can be wondering if someone is giving your pet enough water or being fed properly. I want to make this time apart easy on the both of you. I have such a high expectation for those who watch my dogs so i want to give your pets the best care possible. In my home care: While not being in your pets comfort zone away in a different spot. I can promise they will get plenty of love and comfort. I allow my dogs on my couch where they get plenty of cuddles as well as in my bed. They do sleep with me off and on. I know it can be a little hesitant with a little one around. But I make sure my daughter respects pets boundaries and does not crawl all over them or put them into an uneasy situation.

About: I’m vigilant and will keep your pup safe on a walk, will make sure they have time to do their business, and allow them to stop and smell the roses along the way. I work from home and love dogs so this is perfect opportunity for me to earn a little extra money and give a little extra love. I am used to watching dogs that need constant supervision. My husky required constant supervision during his puppy months and is now potty trained and the best boy.

About: I have worked for a vet with both Cats and Dogs. I have owned Dogs all my life and currently own a rescue of my own as well as a horse. I am very familiar with both Cats and Dogs behavior from working in a vet. Services I provide: Walking Feeding-tell me how they like it(you provide the food) If you need me to check in on them I will Baths with possible brush out-Any size under 50 lbs (you provide shampoo and brushes)(Bath will be given at owners house) I will love your furry friend as if it is my own. I do have minor limitations on Cat litter as I am allergic to the dust but if you need me to sift it I can do so. I can leave you notes on how your pet did if you prefer. I have worked with dogs with Hip dysplasia and know how to help them when they need it most (i.e. helping make sure they do not fall going up or down stairs)...I help elderly pets as well and watch to make sure they eat.

I understand the need for having pet care for traveling arrangements and during working hours (especially the late nights) and the concern with them being with someone that will take care of them. I have trained our pet on many the things he knows. I am happy to accommodate dogs that need senior care and puppies that need potty training. I have plenty of availability for your dog. I am available around the clock for pet care. I am free most days of the week. I will need to be able to leave the house on occasion at regular intervals for errands at times. I have a fenced in yard and one male dog that lives in the home with me. I also have a young child at home and she is great with pets. I would be home most of the day and would be the primary caretaker watching your pet(s) other than personal errands. I can crate your dog during those times if needed. Our dog stays out of his crate unless he wants to go into it on his own. I can have them stay in separate rooms, if needed. If the dog is boarding and staying in our home we recommend that our pet meets the dog outside of our home first.
