About: Hello and welcome! I'm Heather, but I go by Xel (pronounced •zel•) and it's nice to meet you! I have owned more dogs and cats (as well as a ferret, lizard, fish, and a spider and have handled various others) than I can count through the years (I'm almost 40 and we've had a LOT!). Everything from domestic shorthair to Bengal-mix and Schnauzers to German Shepherds. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. I'm HIGHLY flexible, so if you would like to know more, feel free to reach out! If you've made it this far, have a lovely day! ♡ I'm available at a moments' notice the majority of the time! This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. As long as there is clear communication, I'll do my best to aid in any situation, even if it's within the hour! ♡ For our own cats, our oldest, Max, has to be fed separately from the others, as he needs a higher calorie diet than the others. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions! About: I am a stay at home mom with my 9 year old daughter and 13 year old son. I began grooming when I was 22. After a couple of years I started my own grooming salon. I also did pet sitting and boarding for many of my clients. When my son was born ten years later I sold my grooming business to devote more time to him. Now that my children are older I would love to allow them the opportunity to help me in the business of caring for your dog. After the loss of our dog, my children and I look forward to giving your dog lots of love and attention. We hope you will love us as much as we love animals! We also offer Drop offs as early as 7am and pick up as late as 9pm. I am a stay at home mom. My husband works from home and my son and daughter are home schooled. So someone is always home! About: Animal care has always been second hand nature to me. I have had dogs as little as a snow white Maltese Puddle and a brown and black yorkie to something as big a red nose Pitbull and a German Sheperd Pharaoh Hound mix. I have 4 years of on the job animal care experience from when I was employed with Cobb County Police Department (Animal Control Unit) and an abundance of personal experience. Currently I work as a Security Enforcement Agent and have been thinking about animal care again. I hope to be able to be able to assist you and your animal soon. Currently I work fulltime as a Security Enforcement Agent and would like to get into animal care again without leaving my current job fully. I am technically a contractor so adjusting and or changes to my schedules are normal for me and won't be hard to do. The way I care for my dog is probably not gonna be the same for you. But my dog sleeps with me, is allowed on the couch and usually gets multiple walks on my off days and longer walks on work days. I let her free feed, one scoop in the morning that she is free to snack on throughout the day. If its finished before 5/6pm she gets a half scoop. I also give her daily vitamins, dental bones and treats. Lots of love and spoiling. But when it comes to in the clients home there rules for the pet(s) are my rules for the pet(s)

I remember spending time at the library reading dog breed books and learning about all the different personalities and traits that make each animal unique. That passion turned into my first job at 13 when I started helping at my neighbor's dog grooming salon. I began walking her dogs and other neighbors' dogs, then started dog sitting as well. It was the best first job I could have asked for because I got to spend my time doing something I truly loved. About: I have raised and cared for dogs for over twenty years, specializing in hypoallergenic dogs, and currently have two shih tzus. I work from home full time with flexibility to accommodate your pets needs. I can administer meds, including injections if needed. My neighborhood is great for walks. My fenced yard is great for potty and play, and my fenced carport and deck allow for more controlled outside play. I understand your routines are important for you and your pet and will maintain any established patterns, commands and food/sleep schedule for your pet.
