About: Hello and welcome! I'm Heather, but I go by Xel (pronounced •zel•) and it's nice to meet you! I have owned more dogs and cats (as well as a ferret, lizard, fish, and a spider and have handled various others) than I can count through the years (I'm almost 40 and we've had a LOT!). Everything from domestic shorthair to Bengal-mix and Schnauzers to German Shepherds. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. I'm HIGHLY flexible, so if you would like to know more, feel free to reach out! If you've made it this far, have a lovely day! ♡ I'm available at a moments' notice the majority of the time! This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. As long as there is clear communication, I'll do my best to aid in any situation, even if it's within the hour! ♡ For our own cats, our oldest, Max, has to be fed separately from the others, as he needs a higher calorie diet than the others. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions! Thank you for your consideration! ♡

About: I’m a devoted dog lover and experienced pet caregiver who treats every dog like family. I have a dog of my own and truly understand the love, patience, and responsibility that comes with caring for pets. I enjoy providing attentive care, daily walks, playtime, and lots of affection to make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and loved. I’m a college student with a flexible weekly schedule, which allows me to easily fit pet care into my routine. I’m used to balancing school responsibilities with caring for my own dog, so daily walks, feeding times, and playtime are already a regular part of my day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I follow all provided instructions for feeding, walks, medications, and playtime, and I make sure pets get plenty of attention and affection. I also keep the home clean and secure and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for.

About: Hello, my name is Asia! I have always loved taking care of local pets for neighbors in Jersey, and I want to continue that here in Atlanta! I specialize in playtime and engaging in pet activities as well as minimal training of your choice! I also provide toys! I do provide food and treats and if you would like me to get a specific brand for my future furry client, let me know! If your pet is an "outsidie", then that's a plus because I love walks at the local parks! I also have a gated backyard and patio! I cannot wait to meet the little ones and the owners! I did graduate last year so I do have more time! I do work at a Wingstop about 10 minutes away, partime! So less than 35 hours a week I do work about 2-5 days a week. I am mostly off on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays but I do have a caring and animal experienced mom and sister who loves animals and is willing to take part while I'm gone. I do live in a neighborhood community who absolutely loves pets. We do not have a doggy playground unfortunately but I do travel other places to have outside time with the pets. Every pet here is made sure to be friendly, no aggressive breeds out here. I live in a three bedroom house.

About: I’ve grown up around several types of pets, from dogs and cats to rats. My sister works in a vet office and I myself own two cats, two chihuahuas and a hound dog. I have previous dog sitting experience from family. I’m currently working a full time job, but can plan around it to care for pets if given enough notice. I love animals and happily help them out. I can’t take pets into my own home due to having a reactive dog myself, but I can care for them in a client’s home! I feel comfortable providing basic medical needs such as ointments and bandaids and have experience trimming claws if needed as well.

He was incredibly attentive, followed every instruction perfectly, and made sure Kobalt felt loved and comfortable the entire time. It was clear that Kobalt truly enjoyed his care and affection which gave me so much peace of mind while traveling. I’m extremely grateful for his dedication and will definitely be booking with him again! Highly recommend!

About: I am trying to go in college for vet tech so it’s hands-on experience I truly value! I focus on calm, safe handling and pay close attention to each pet’s health, behavior, and comfort. Your pet will be treated with patience, respect, and genuine care!! :) Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I make sure to plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions so pets receive consistent attention and care. About: Since I was a teenager I have been taking care of dogs from friends and family. I will take care of your dog like if it was mine 🥰. I enjoy taking dogs for a walk. I'm currently working from home and I have breaks through the day where I can play or take your dog for a walk. I live close to nice parks. About: I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and care. What sets me apart is how attentive and dependable I am—I make sure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved. I’m confident with basic puppy training like leash walking and reinforcing commands, and I also provide gentle senior care, including medication support and mobility assistance. I treat every pet like family and always follow their routine to keep them happy while you’re away 🐾 Pet care fits smoothly into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special needs to make sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. I’m flexible with mornings, evenings, and weekends, which allows me to maintain pets’ regular routines and provide dependable care whether it’s daily check-ins or extended stays. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, so I make it a priority in my schedule rather than an afterthought. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. I always follow the pet’s usual routine, rules, and instructions to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure the environment is clean, calm, and pet-safe by removing hazards, securing doors and gates, and supervising pets at all times. About: I've been caring for pets for over 10 years — dogs and cats belonging to friends and family who trust me completely, and that trust means everything to me. What makes my care different is that it's never one-size-fits-all. If your dog lives for walks, we walk. If they're all about the ball, we play. If they just want to curl up next to someone, I'm right there. Every pet gets care shaped around who they are, not a standard routine. My home is child-free and pet-free, so your baby isn't competing for attention — they are the focus of my entire day. And when you pick them up? They'll be freshly bathed, happy, and ready to go home. Baths are always on me. PLEASE NOTE: I can board up to 4 pets from the same family at one time, as the pets all know each other. I do not take multiple pets from different families to board at the same time. It's often stressful for the animals and I don't get to enjoy your pet if he is stressed out by strange animals. My home is child-free and animal-free, which means your pet gets a calm, quiet environment with zero stress from other animals and no chaotic energy. They are the sole focus of my day. IMPORTANT: I only take pets from one family at a time. I want to enjoy your dog. For dogs: I follow your routine to the letter — feeding times, walk schedule, medications, treats, favorite spots. I ease new guests in gently because I know the first few hours matter most. If your dog loves walks, we walk. If they're a ball dog, we play. They get care shaped around who they are, not a generic routine. Every dog goes home with a complimentary bath so they're clean, happy, and ready to see you. For cats: I understand cats aren't small dogs — they need something completely different. I give them a safe, quiet space to settle in at their own pace, no forcing interaction. I read their cues — whether they want lap time, window watching, or just a calm human nearby. Litter box hygiene is spotless and non-negotiable. I'm very careful about doors, windows, and escape points so your indoor cat stays safely indoors. For all pets: I monitor eating and behavior closely and flag anything off straight away. You'll get regular photo and video updates — as many or as few as you'd like. I've been caring for pets for over 10 years for people who trust me like family, and I take that trust seriously. My goal is simple: your baby comes home calm, happy, and exactly themselves. I do have a fenced yard but do not allow dogs to go out alone unsupervised. I enjoy walking dogs and will keep the routine that you have with your dog. I only take cats and dogs at the same time from the same family. I will always confirm any animal is up to date with vaccines and flea treatments first.

About: My fiance and I have had dogs most of our lives. We currently have a 10 month old loving female bull terrier with a mellow and playful demeanor, that hasn't met a dog she hasn't liked or gotten along with yet. We have experience caring for senior dogs as well as puppies and everything in between. Able to administer oral medicine if needed. We both work from home so we're able to provide an environment where your pet will have plenty of attention and potty breaks throughout the day. We have a safe fenced in backyard where your dog(s) can run and play. Our backyard also has a gate that opens up to the Silver Comet Trail for easy access for multiple walks throughout the day

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clarkdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Clarkdale with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
