“Tamera is amazing and sweet. I have never left my baby with anyone and i knew immediately during the meet and greet i could trust and rely on her. Tamera has a very positive and up beat personality that i love and goes well with dealing with the fur babies. She did an awesome job of looking after my little piranha. I will be booking her again as i have a few doctors appts coming up.”

“Cindy was awesome, we were anxious leaving our elderly pup with someone new and she made the process so easy start to finish. She sent wonderful photos multiple times a day to let us know Faith was doing well and we felt at ease on our trip knowing our pup was getting good care!”

About: I was raised with animals of all sizes and personalities over the past 15 years, and I truly understand the level of patience, attention, and love pets need to feel safe and cared for. To me, pets are family — each with their own routines, energy, and unique personality that deserve to be respected and understood. Whether it’s long walks on local nature trails, engaging playtime, feeding routines, medication reminders, or simply providing calm companionship during home check-ins, I focus on creating a comfortable and positive experience tailored to your pet’s individual needs. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to making sure your furry companion feels secure, joyful, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I also understand how important communication is when trusting someone with your pet, so I’m happy to provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins as often as you'd like! :) I am more flexible on weekends than on weekdays! Before 9 am or after 3 pm is preferred on weekdays in June! I will have plenty of time to dedicate to walking or caring for your pet in-home up to 3x daily! My pets always had a large backyard to explore and a home-cooked meal to devour! In your home, I stick closely to protocols familiar to your pet. I can bring toys and health-conscious treats as needed. A clean space will be maintained in addition to lots of love and attention! <3
“couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Chrishtian! He took amazing care of my dog son, Kobalt, while I was away on vacation. He was incredibly attentive, followed every instruction perfectly, and made sure Kobalt felt loved and comfortable the entire time. It was clear that Kobalt truly enjoyed his care and affection which gave me so much peace of mind while traveling. I’m extremely grateful for his dedication and will definitely be booking with him again! Highly recommend!”

“Shelby was amazing. This was our first time using Rover and letting a complete stranger into our home when we weren’t there. She was incredible from day one and truly cares about what she does. We won’t hesitate to reach out to her in the future!”
“Amanda has been a mainstay for me as a cat owner. My travel schedule can be erratic, and she has remained flexible and cheerful. I can clearly see that she has a deep affection for my kitty cat—which helps me during the long absences. She is an essential resource, and highly recommended. MMurphy”

“Linque was great with our cat. Our cat is on the shy side but within a couple days, Linque was able to make her comfortable and open up. I was also impressed by her responsiveness and diligence she puts in her role as an experienced cat sitter. Highly recommend Linque to all pet owners.”

“Raniyah did a great job dropping in with the kitties. She was punctual and communicated well. There was a big winter storm that blew in during my trip, and she helped with a couple extra little things at the house to make sure the animals were taken care of and the pipes didn’t freeze. Looking forward to hiring her again!”

“Hunter loves Emersyn! He’s usually pretty shy and really came out of his shell with her, even bringing her toys and playing on her drop ins! Our new favorite dog walker :)”

“Estefania is a life saver! She loves our dog, he loves her and is so happy when she comes over to care for him. Her communication is amazing, she is beyond kind and sweet. She sends all the videos and pictures of our pup so we don’t miss him as much. Can’t recommend her enough!”

About: Hello and welcome! I'm Heather, but I go by Xel (pronounced •zel•) and it's nice to meet you! I have owned more dogs and cats (as well as a ferret, lizard, fish, and a spider and have handled various others) than I can count through the years (I'm almost 40 and we've had a LOT!). Everything from domestic shorthair to Bengal-mix and Schnauzers to German Shepherds. I have house-sat for both friends and family for many years (short and extended!) and I have administered medicine in pill form, as well as inhaler (would be willing to learn injections if necessary). Our oldest cats have lived 18 years, and I currently own four cats (all rescues, aged 2 to 16). Our oldest dogs have lived 15+ I believe, but it's been a long time since owning one (my parents are disabled). I have done a bit of training with dogs and cats alike, but I am not a professional. I'm HIGHLY flexible, so if you would like to know more, feel free to reach out! If you've made it this far, have a lovely day! ♡ I'm available at a moments' notice the majority of the time! This includes overnights, emergencies, and short/extended stays. As long as there is clear communication, I'll do my best to aid in any situation, even if it's within the hour! ♡ For our own cats, our oldest, Max, has to be fed separately from the others, as he needs a higher calorie diet than the others. All of the cats are treated with flea medication and I clean multiple litter boxes several times a week. For friends and family, I have had feeding schedules for both dogs and cats, ranging from custom mixed and weighed portions to simply making sure the auto-feeders/fountains are kept clean and filled. My best friend's dog gets playtime and outside time (he has a runner and a ton of toys to play fetch with). My Aunt's cat would need constant watch, as he needed an inhaler if he walked too far or his anxiety flared. I'm also open to doing light chores, so feel free to reach out with any and all questions! Thank you for your consideration! ♡

“Valeria was great! She watched our two dogs when we were out of town. Stopped in in the morning & night, gave food/water, played outside and gave our older dog his meds. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I am a stay at home mom with my 9 year old daughter and 13 year old son. I began grooming when I was 22. After a couple of years I started my own grooming salon. I also did pet sitting and boarding for many of my clients. When my son was born ten years later I sold my grooming business to devote more time to him. Now that my children are older I would love to allow them the opportunity to help me in the business of caring for your dog. After the loss of our dog, my children and I look forward to giving your dog lots of love and attention. We hope you will love us as much as we love animals! We also offer Drop offs as early as 7am and pick up as late as 9pm. I am a stay at home mom. My husband works from home and my son and daughter are home schooled. So someone is always home! I have a fenced yard, doggy door and plenty of space for running and playing! We are an easy laid back family and love to have pet visitors
“Kaitlyn is amazing our Angelina doesn't allow anyone to pet her the pictures Kaitlyn sent were beautiful Angelina took well to her she kept us informed the whole time and I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation. I will be using her in the future!”

“Taylor has been nothing short of amazing. She took plenty of photos, spent a lot time with my cat, eased my concerns regarding my last Rover sitter, and was kind. I highly recommend her and will book her again!”

About: Hello! My name is Jackie. I have been surrounded by animals all my life. I am 25 years old. I got into more experience with handling animals around 15 years of age. I’ve fostered four litters of kittens while finding them new homes. I have experience with bottle feeding. I have looked after friends and family’s dogs as well. I’ve taken dogs for walks, bathed them and other necessary things they needed such as medications. I would like to provide you with the comfort of knowing that your pet is in good, loving care! Pet care fits well into my routine because I currently attend school only twice a week. This allows me to have a flexible schedule for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I’m able to plan my days around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. Even on school days, I make sure to schedule visits and check-ins so pets stay on their normal routine. My goal is to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I provide walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention while making sure they feel safe and relaxed in their own environment. I currently care for pets in the client’s home through drop-ins, walks, or house sitting and do not bring pets into my own home. I always send updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 3,219 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Clarkdale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clarkdale. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
