“Mindy was fantastic! It was our first time using Rover and her communication + photos made us feel reassured that our cats were safe and well taken care of. She kept our house clean and tidy, and she took the best care of our fur babies! I look forward to working her again!”

“Miranda was great. She was very responsive and even came by for a meet and great before her job to meet the pups. She was on time and everything went well. Will definitely use her again!”

“Ky was great! She’s very kind, punctual, and communicative. She’s very attentive to the care instructions. We have a puppy and a senior dog and she was equally great with both of them. We’d love to have her back again!”

“Raniyah is fantastic! Daisy took to her immediately. Raniyah provided great updates. I requested an extra drop in while we were out of town and she accommodated us with no problem. Thanks Raniyah!”

“My wife and I practically consider Linque a part of the family! She's watched our 2 cats and 2 dogs, 7 times now, and 3 of those times were two-or three-week spans. Our pets love her and so do we. She watered our plants, put out our garbage and took care of our babies perfectly. We trust her with our 4 fur babies even more than our own family. She has gone over and above our expectations every time and we can not say enough wonderful things about her. She gave us twice daily reports with photos and videos and makes us feel comfortable enough to enjoy our trips. We even had a water main break this last time and she was the first to notify us, and the sheriff's office. You will not find a better petsitter anywhere.”

“Hannah has been a life saver by helping take care of our fur baby on short notice. She shared great pics & notes from all her visits & she really connected with our digs quirky behavior. I would highly recommend this dependable dog walker & will be using her many times in the future. Thank you Hannah!”

“Shelby was so amazing. Her communication was great and she took amazing care of our 3 dogs, including 1 elderly pup with a lot of needs. She made us feel completely at ease leaving the dogs. We will definitely use her in the future!”

“couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Chrishtian! He took amazing care of my dog son, Kobalt, while I was away on vacation. He was incredibly attentive, followed every instruction perfectly, and made sure Kobalt felt loved and comfortable the entire time. It was clear that Kobalt truly enjoyed his care and affection which gave me so much peace of mind while traveling. I’m extremely grateful for his dedication and will definitely be booking with him again! Highly recommend!”

“Great as always! Having Elle as our catsitter means we have no worries about leaving our cat at home while we’re away. Elle is flexible, communicative, and responsive to our cat’s personality (and moods 🙈). Thanks again!”

“Karen did a great job. I really appreciated her detailed reports on her visits along with the pictures. I felt secure in knowing my cats were being well taken care of while we were out of town.”

“Stephanie took such great care of our dogs, and we will definitely book her again! She was so attentive to their needs and clearly loves animals. We felt secure knowing that she was looking after our dogs while we were away!”

“Sean was wonderful with my cats! He came by every day, spent time playing with them, and sent pictures that gave me total peace of mind while I was away. One of my cats hid the entire time, and I really appreciated that he didn’t push her or try to force interaction—he just let her be comfortable, which says a lot about how well he understands cats. I’ll definitely be booking with him again. He really does know cats which can be hard to find these days.”

“Kaitlyn went above and beyond taking care of Robbie. I felt comfortable knowing that she was taking care of him. I cannot recommend her enough and we will definitely use her in the future.”

About: I can't overstate how much I care for animals. I currently have two black cats. I did have 2 dogs for the last 7 years or so, but they stayed with their mom when we amicably split. My older dog required daily oral medication and sometimes topical so I'm comfortable administering medication that way. I've not met a dog or cat who hasn't warmed up to me pretty quickly and I look forward to getting to spend some time with as many pets as possible. Currently have wide open availability. I basically need about an hour notice just so I can make sure the house is comfortable for my pets while I'm gone. Each animal has their own distinct needs and personalities, I can be whatever they need. That could be super long walks, or yard play time, if they need medications I feel comfortable giving them whatever they need. My own dog has a couple of daily medications she takes
About: I have been pet sitting since 2017. Along with that I have plenty of experience working with animals considering I have been volunteering at animal shelters and veterinary clinics since 2016. I previously worked at Banfield Pet Hospital where I have bolstered my skills and experience with mostly dogs, cats, and some smaller animals such as hamsters. I am confident in my knowledge of dog and cat behavior; I have the ability to restrain, administer medications, basic obedience training, animal safety, and attentiveness to your pets unique personality and overall health . I am a full time undergrad student, and I take all of my courses solely online. Meaning I am super flexible when it comes to scheduling. While caring for a furbaby at the client’s home, I am EXTREMELY huge on checklists and to do lists. This keeps me on track all day, ensuring that your pet is on a schedule so that I can create a routine that sort of helps me predict your pet’s behavior. I am very attentive, making sure that the pet is in my sight at all times, especially younger pets. Also, I do posses a certificate in animal first aid.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
