About: The Care Takers That is primarily me. I love pets. I have a dog of my own. I became a sitter because I know how important it is to have a safe and affordable place for our furry family members to stay. I also really enjoy training dogs. I usually spend 15 min per day trying new tricks with my pups and any guest pups in the house. My partner lives with me as well. He also loves dogs. He is a vigilant food and water bowl filler upper. He's also a loyal behind-the-ears-doggy-scratcher. The Companions Lola and Quinn are my roommates. Lola is an American Cocker Spaniel who is 9 years old. Quinn is our cat that is calm and friendly. They are both friendly with small and large dogs. The Home Is located off Ridge Road in Smyrna. The house has hardwood throughout and tile in the kitchen/sunroom. Pets are allowed in all areas of the home as long as they've been house trained. We have a large crate for dogs who have been crate trained and are comfortable staying in one while we are away. Dogs are allowed on the couch as long as owners allow this type of behavior in their own home (we don't want to break any obedience training that has been established). The Outside I live in a single-family home with a large back yard. It is 75% fenced with a natural tree line and small creek on the far end. Keeping pets contained to this area is manageable but pets can be kept on leash if they’re known to be runners! There are plenty of shaded areas. There is a large and small patio that the dogs have access to. On warm days I fill up the doggy pool. For the most part, the backyard is free-range. My pets play fetch with balls, sticks, and frisbees. They are very friendly and are not protective or territorial of their food or toys. I work from home most days and am available for walks, playtime, naps, and pet specific care throughout the day. We are up and moving round early and keep a pretty steady schedule. I have a large yard fenced on three sides with a creek bordering the final side where dogs can run and have fun in a safe environment (if mom and dad approve).
“This was my first time boarding Sunday in someone’s home. I was very nervous. Forrest and Elisabeth made me feel very comfortable by asking lots of questions about how to take care of my pup and sending updates that include pictures. Sunday was anxious her first couple of days there but by pickup day, I don’t think she wanted the fun to end! We would definitely book with Forrest and Elisabeth again!”

“Amanda was attentive to my dogs special needs. Regularly communicating my pets eating, playing, and sleeping habits. Flexible scheduling was appreciated. The last minute accommodation made my travel possible. Would definitely use her services again.”

“Chasity and her husband Dan were amazing for Benny while I travelled for a few days. I had been on the hunt for a new dog sitter since moving back ITP. After a daycare visit, I felt comfortable moving forward with an overnight visit. Chasity and Dan sent frequent updates and photos/videos. When I picked Benny up, you could tell he was well taken care of. In fact, I don’t think he was ready to be picked up LOL! I will continue to use this couple as long as they provide services. Book them— your pet will be in great hands!”

“Amanda and her husband are so nice! They have an amazing yard. I felt comfortable leaving my girl with them. She gave me lots of updates with photos. Great sitter!”

“Andrea is the perfect dog sitter. She kept us updated everyday with pictures and videos. Her house is ideal for dogs, with a fenced patio very well maintained that allows dogs to enjoy being outside. She kept our dog entertained and active throughout the day. She treated our dog with love and care. Best dog sitter we have had!”

“My dog was so happy over there. It was good to know he wasn't just sitting in a large pen all weekend. Kourtney was responsive and sent us photos. I was very happy I used the app to find her. Working with her was much easier than larger boarding facilities. I'll definitely return.”

“Yatnira took such great care of my Bailey! She is attentive and sends videos and pictures of Bailey. Yatnira is also very responsive to messages as it relates to Bailey. You would be lucky to have her watch your pet!”

“Kim was great with Maddie! She kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay, and communication was excellent the whole time. It was clear Maddie was well cared for, and I felt completely at ease while she was with Kim. I highly recommend her!”

“Eden and her family were amazing! She has a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood, and she took care of my senior fur baby, who is still very active with health conditions. She also helped me retrieve belongings that were misplaced during my pup’s stay. Would definitely book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mableton
Kelli was so reassuring and competent. She stayed in touch daily, withe pictures and updates. She eased my mind about the quirks of my senior dog. She was accommodating, pleasant and kind. My dog seemed completely content and happy to stay at her home, even at the end of the stay when I went to pick her up. I’m so glad we found this sitter and am keeping her locked in for future visits!! 😊

Soel was absolutely amazing with Princess Tianna. She enjoyed having other fur babies to play with and took to Soel really well. He's practically a dog whisperer! He kept me updated and sent plenty of pictures and videos. I would recommend him to anyone in the area, and I plan to book with him again soon.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
