“This is our second time using Shawn and Wandie— they continue to treat Cocoa with love and excitement. They communicate throughout the stay with fun pictures and videos. Cocoa had so much fun during her stay she can’t wait to return!”

“Michelle was absolutely fantastic. Our doggo was with her for 5 days. Michelle sent a video every morning recapping the previous days events and would also sound countless pictures during the day. She was also very responsive whenever we had questions. Pick up and drop off was seamless as well. Our doggo def had a great time and we’ll definitely book with Michelle again moving forward.”

“Amanda took wonderful care of our Ollie while we were out of town. She sent timely updates throughout our trip and was always very responsive, which gave us so much peace of mind. We could tell Ollie really warmed up to her, and he even made some puppy friends along the way, which helped him become more social. Amanda treated Ollie with the same love and care that we do, and we’re so grateful to have found her. We would absolutely trust her with Ollie again!”

About: The Care Takers That is primarily me. I love pets. I have a dog of my own. I became a sitter because I know how important it is to have a safe and affordable place for our furry family members to stay. I also really enjoy training dogs. I usually spend 15 min per day trying new tricks with my pups and any guest pups in the house. My partner lives with me as well. He also loves dogs. He is a vigilant food and water bowl filler upper. He's also a loyal behind-the-ears-doggy-scratcher. The Companions Lola and Quinn are my roommates. Lola is an American Cocker Spaniel who is 9 years old. Quinn is our cat that is calm and friendly. They are both friendly with small and large dogs. The Home Is located off Ridge Road in Smyrna. The house has hardwood throughout and tile in the kitchen/sunroom. Pets are allowed in all areas of the home as long as they've been house trained. We have a large crate for dogs who have been crate trained and are comfortable staying in one while we are away. Dogs are allowed on the couch as long as owners allow this type of behavior in their own home (we don't want to break any obedience training that has been established). The Outside I live in a single-family home with a large back yard. It is 75% fenced with a natural tree line and small creek on the far end. Keeping pets contained to this area is manageable but pets can be kept on leash if they’re known to be runners! There are plenty of shaded areas. There is a large and small patio that the dogs have access to. On warm days I fill up the doggy pool. For the most part, the backyard is free-range. My pets play fetch with balls, sticks, and frisbees. They are very friendly and are not protective or territorial of their food or toys. I work from home most days and am available for walks, playtime, naps, and pet specific care throughout the day. We are up and moving round early and keep a pretty steady schedule. I have a large yard fenced on three sides with a creek bordering the final side where dogs can run and have fun in a safe environment (if mom and dad approve).
“You MUST use Paige for your pet care needs! She took wonderful care of my dog and provided frequent updates of all their fun and cuddles that put my mind at ease. It’s clear she truly loves animals and is highly professional. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable sitter!”

“Jazzmine did amazing sitting my pooch! It was practically a 6 day board and I had no concerns or issues the entire time. I'll definitely request to book her again in the future!”

“If I could give Bianca & her husband more than 5 stars I would! They made GiGi feel right at home & spoiled her the entire time. I received pictures with updates about how GiGi day was going every couple of hours. Thank you both again for your amazing services, GiGi will be back soon 🩷”

“We had a wonderful experience with Stephanie! She was responsive from my initial outreach and friendly throughout. She and her family were very welcoming to Molly, and she provided regular updates about how things were going. I felt comfortable that Molly was in good hands the whole time, and we would happily let Molly stay with Stephanie again in the future.”

“Akeeme was amazing and made me feel comfortable leaving my puppy for the first time. He was responsive and truly accommodating for my wild Frenchie that loves attention. I will definitely be booking again!”

“ZyTeira was a great dog sitter for my Luna! We met a couple days before boarding and I loved that she made that time to help get my dog familiar before they stayed together for a long weekend. Throughout the weekend, she maintained consistent communication with daily updates and pictures so I knew Luna was okay. I never felt uneasy or questioned how she was doing under ZyTeira’s care. I definitely plan to board with her again and would highly recommend her to others.”

“Andrea was so amazing and took such good care of my 5 month old puppy. She sent pictures every day and made sure Mochi was having a blast and getting outside. Great communication and logistics. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Rachel is a genuinely kind, loving, caring person and we are beyond grateful for all the love and caretaking she gave our dog Buster. Will definitely be our number one go to person going forward! Thank you so much Rachel! You’re absolutely wonderful!”

“She took really good care of our senior dog who has joint, hearing, and eyesight issues, and she tended to all of his needs for medications and soft food. She was great and so sweet with him, giving him free space to roam freely and sleep where he was most comfortable. I highly recommend and will be booking again next time!”

About: My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving, home-away-from-home where your dog feels happy, comfortable, and cared for every step of the day. “Edward was phenomenal! I was out of town and coordinating pet care coverage and he was fully engaged in organizing pick up and drop off by my friends. He made a stressful situation so much easier. I appreciate Edward immensely! He will take good care of your pets.”

“Tramesse is wonderful! She took excellent care of my fur baby and was patient with his puppies ways. She provided a couple of very detailed updates throughout his stay and lots of pictures. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone considering her services.”

“Christine was an incredible sitter. She took great care of our two dogs and sent us updates several times a day. And when something minor happened, she knew how to take care of it right away. She even followed up a week later to see if it'd gotten better. She's a wonderful sitter and you've made the right choice if you've chosen to book with her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Vinings
Had never used Rover before but we were going on a long trip and didn't want our pup Ollie to be in boarding for that long. Jordan was so amazing. She did a quick trial run with Ollie to make sure he was comfortable. She did pick-up/drop-off which was super conveniently, and kept us continuously updated with pictures throughout our trip. Ollie looked so happy and right at home staying with Jordan. Jordan was super caring and a great communicator. Would highly recommend, especially if new to Rover.

Chaela is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. From our very first meeting, it was clear that Chaela genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. She took excellent care of my two dogs, Max and Pongo, treating them with so much warmth and patience. She kept me updated with photos and messages throughout their stay, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Both Max and Pongo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. Chaela is reliable, attentive, and truly has a gift for connecting with dogs. I will absolutely be booking with her again, and I recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you, Chaela, for taking such wonderful care of my boys! Laure D.
My dogs had a wonderful time at Andrea’s. She has a fantastic set up for dogs in her backyard and a doggie door for easy access. My pups came home tired and happy. My puppy loved playing with the dogs visiting for doggie daycare. We will definitely use Andrea’s service again!

Anika was AMAZING! She took such great care of Gipsy and made me feel at ease the whole time I was away. She sent me pictures and updates every day, which I really appreciated. She was so kind, flexible, and easy to talk to. It honestly felt like I was talking to a friend! Gipsy absolutely LOVED her. I think she was having so much fun she barely even missed me! It was obvious she was well cared for, happy, and loved while she was there. I would 100% recommend Anika to anyone looking for a sitter. I'll definitely be booking with her again!

Ryder had an amazing stay with his sitter! Min is patient, attentive, and treated him like family. I really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and the extra care she gave him. Ryder came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter

Michelle was great! This was my first time leaving St. Charles with a sitter and she made the entire experience stress free. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
