“Toni is great!! Honest and unbiased review. Toni saved the day after another border dropped the ball and couldn’t meet my drop of timing after accepting the agreement. Toni was friendly and very playful with Carlos. She sends updates and photos which is very reassuring. Me being a first time Rover user has me uneasy this untrue process. I didn’t know what I was walking into but I had to do something seeing that my AirBnB wouldn’t allow you ( Mind you I’m traveling from NC to TX). I am very protective over my dog & I just knew I I’d burn Atlanta down behind my dog if something went left ? but luckily Toni gained my trust quickly. I highly recommend her **especially those who have trust issues and want peace of mind **”

About: My senior dog passed away after we shared 18 wonderful years together. I know how much your family members mean to you. I will ensure my time with them will be fun and show care and love as if they were my own. I'm retired and have plenty of time on my hands. One reason for pursuing this opportunity is to get more involved and out of the house. I currently have only my little Percy - he's strictly an indoor cat with his routine - early am feedings and lots of sleep during the day. I love to walk and enjoy having a pal to share the time outside. I do miss my dog, our daily walks are where I hold very fond memories. She loved to bring sticks home and place them in the yard. I have always enjoyed my experience with pet sitters that I've hired. Each person understood how important it is to follow instructions and established routines. I would ensure I have complete understanding of each request and treat your pet as if they were mine.
“We got regular updates and photos of our puppy while we were out and it was clear he was so loved! Our sitter really put us at ease that our pup was in good hands.”

“Kelsey was AMAZING! My dog had a blast and the updates/photos were very much so appreciated. I was amazed to find a beautiful painting of my dog when cleaning out his bag. It is something I will cherish forever! I am literally thinking of reasons to send Roosevelt to camp Kelsey again soon!”

“I am so grateful for Shawn and Wandie! Not only did they take great care of Valentino while we were away, they sent several pictures while we were away. That made us feel like he was home away from home. Highly recommend!”

“Was super helpful and updated me on a daily basis of how my dogs were doing. Even though he already has two dogs, he was able to accommodate my two very large dogs as well.”

“Amanda and her husband are so nice! They have an amazing yard. I felt comfortable leaving my girl with them. She gave me lots of updates with photos. Great sitter!”

“She kept my son for about 4 days, kept me alert of everything he was doing & he looked like he put on a few pines when I picked him up so I know he ate good. When I came to get him he acted as if he didn’t want to leave so I know she took good care of him. Will be booking again, I highly recommend her services!”

“Kayla was so accommodating and made sure my furbaby felt right at home. She sent updates daily and I really appreciated how consistent her communication was. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“I recently boarded my cat with Estefania, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She truly loves animals and cares for them as if they were her own. My cat instantly felt at home under her care, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear she goes above and beyond to make pets feel comfortable and safe. I love that she always sends me photos and videos of my baby. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable petsitter!”

“Heather went above and beyond while watching my sweet pup! I'm new to Rover so I've been nervous about the process, but Heather made me feel so comfortable and it was such a relief knowing that my pup was well taken care of. I travel often for work and I knew that boarding wasn't the right option anymore. I'm so thankful to Heather for being so sweet with my pup, I will definitely use her in the future!”

“Oladapo was awesome with my cash. I felt like he was in very good hands and was cared for. Cash came back home very happy and in good spirits. Definitely will be letting my cash and other dogs return in the future.”

“Keleigh gave the best updates to let us know that Avett was doing well each day! We knew it was a perfect fit even before the stay just based on other recommendations for her, prompt communication and a successful meet and greet with her pups. She definitely was able to thoroughly entertain our energetic boy despite a rainy and cold weekend. We would love to book Keleigh again sometime for any trips!”

“This was my first time boarding Sunday in someone’s home. I was very nervous. Forrest and Elisabeth made me feel very comfortable by asking lots of questions about how to take care of my pup and sending updates that include pictures. Sunday was anxious her first couple of days there but by pickup day, I don’t think she wanted the fun to end! We would definitely book with Forrest and Elisabeth again!”

“This is our second booking with Ansyl and once again, he did not disappoint! Our dogs were very happy and looked great at pick up. We will most definitely be booking with Ansyl again in the future! He is reliable, very responsible, and it is evident that he loves dogs!”

“Natalie and Andrew were so patient and accommodating to Zeus and his anxiety. They took the extra time to patiently get him to eat and the pictures and videos showed him relaxed and cuddled with his blankets. They took him on plenty of walks and sent me videos on the walks. They really made him feel so comfortable that he actually whined when they left!”

About: The Care Takers That is primarily me. I love pets. I have a dog of my own. I became a sitter because I know how important it is to have a safe and affordable place for our furry family members to stay. I also really enjoy training dogs. I usually spend 15 min per day trying new tricks with my pups and any guest pups in the house. My partner lives with me as well. He also loves dogs. He is a vigilant food and water bowl filler upper. He's also a loyal behind-the-ears-doggy-scratcher. The Companions Lola and Quinn are my roommates. Lola is an American Cocker Spaniel who is 9 years old. Quinn is our cat that is calm and friendly. They are both friendly with small and large dogs. The Home Is located off Ridge Road in Smyrna. The house has hardwood throughout and tile in the kitchen/sunroom. Pets are allowed in all areas of the home as long as they've been house trained. We have a large crate for dogs who have been crate trained and are comfortable staying in one while we are away. Dogs are allowed on the couch as long as owners allow this type of behavior in their own home (we don't want to break any obedience training that has been established). The Outside I live in a single-family home with a large back yard. It is 75% fenced with a natural tree line and small creek on the far end. Keeping pets contained to this area is manageable but pets can be kept on leash if they’re known to be runners! There are plenty of shaded areas. There is a large and small patio that the dogs have access to. On warm days I fill up the doggy pool. For the most part, the backyard is free-range. My pets play fetch with balls, sticks, and frisbees. They are very friendly and are not protective or territorial of their food or toys. I work from home most days and am available for walks, playtime, naps, and pet specific care throughout the day. We are up and moving round early and keep a pretty steady schedule. I have a large yard fenced on three sides with a creek bordering the final side where dogs can run and have fun in a safe environment (if mom and dad approve).
About: What sets me apart is how much I genuinely care about making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’m patient, dependable, attentive to routines, and happy to give your pet all the cuddles, playtime, walks, and one-on-one attention they need. I’m also comfortable following detailed feeding, medication, and care instructions. I know every pet has their own personality, so I take the time to learn what makes yours happiest and keep their routine feeling as normal as possible. 🐾🤍 I have a flexible schedule that allows me plenty of time to care for your pets! I have open availability all day Sundays and Mondays. Tuesday through Friday, I’m available before 12 PM and after 7 PM, and I’m also available after 6 PM on Saturdays. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and schedule whenever possible! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! I’m very attentive and will always follow your specific instructions, routines, feeding schedules, and house rules. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and love while keeping their environment clean and safe. I’m also happy to send plenty of pictures and updates so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away!
“Akeeme was the perfect choice for my Willow! She had never done any boarding or daycare and doesn’t get to socialize with other dogs often, so Akeeme met her where she was at and was able to give her to space she needed to be comfortable around other dogs. Willow is also a very anxious dog. He was able to recognize when she needed her independent time. For my trip back home, I ran into travel time delays and Akeeme was more than accommodating to me. I’m so appreciative of that! I know that Willow is is great and very capable hands with him.”

Mariangely was an amazing sitter! She checked in with my boys often sending pictures of them both inside and on the walks, also including any health that seemed concerning to her! I definitely recommend going to her if you want somewhere safe for your pets to stay of you are going out of town! I will definitely book with her again!

Christine was fantastic! She was communicative sending pictures and status updates of my pup throughout his stay. He got lots of long walks, which Christine timed perfectly so neither of them would be too hot. He loved so happy I wasn’t sure he would want to come home lol. I felt less guilty leaving him because I knew he was well taken care of. Will definitely be rebooking in the future.

Randall was amazing with our 6 year old dog! He can't be kenneled, so having a place where he can be the only dog in a safe, comfortable place is critical for our family. The updates Randall sent made us feel like we could relax, knowing he was so taken care of. We will definitely be using Randall again!

Had never used Rover before but we were going on a long trip and didn't want our pup Ollie to be in boarding for that long. Jordan was so amazing. She did a quick trial run with Ollie to make sure he was comfortable. She did pick-up/drop-off which was super conveniently, and kept us continuously updated with pictures throughout our trip. Ollie looked so happy and right at home staying with Jordan. Jordan was super caring and a great communicator. Would highly recommend, especially if new to Rover.

Anika was AMAZING! She took such great care of Gipsy and made me feel at ease the whole time I was away. She sent me pictures and updates every day, which I really appreciated. She was so kind, flexible, and easy to talk to. It honestly felt like I was talking to a friend! Gipsy absolutely LOVED her. I think she was having so much fun she barely even missed me! It was obvious she was well cared for, happy, and loved while she was there. I would 100% recommend Anika to anyone looking for a sitter. I'll definitely be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
